Parking is incredibly easy, as there's a big parking lot. You do want to arrive early for yoga to get a good spot. They have limited thick mats that you can place underneath your mat. This is due to the floor being pretty sturdy. Outside of the yoga studio, there's wipes available. I love Sunday yoga with Kayla. She'll put on the best music and really talk about what we are strengthening with each pose. She gives variations if you want a deeper stretch. The restrooms here are also incredibly nice. I don't really use the rest of the gym. It does look incredibly spacious and nice. For now, I'll stick to yoga but maybe one day I'll actually explore the rest of the gym.

Attending the Asian Community Center (ACC) Crab feed Fundraiser at the Sacramento Asian Sports…read moreFoundation tonight. It was a very successful event to raise funds for the ACC Services and Seniors. The food was great, starting with shrimp chips, short ribs, salad, fried rice, and the featured all you can eat hot ginger crab with scallions, and it was delicious. The crab kept coming until we said no more. An orange sherbet cup was very refreshing at the end of the meal. There were also plenty of desserts for sale for those who still had room for more, or to take home. Some lucky guests went home with great raffle prizes, and silent auction items. The event was very successful and for a very worthy cause.

The Laguna location has been going downhill since Nusha left to manage Bond, which I hear is a great location. Since then, the managers are managers in name only. Since her departure, the other managers do not know how to manage. The current manager needs a manager to teach them how to do their job. They do not require the employees to do the job they're getting paid to do. The M-F morning housekeeper is great, but she should not have to spend her first few hours EVERY SHIFT doing the job the closing crew and the evening housekeeper from the last shift REFUSED to do! Trash EVERYWHERE this morning! Also the equipment was scattered on the floor, weight bars still had plates on them, dumbbells on the floor creating tripping hazards. When you go to the gym for a planned workout, you have in mind which equipment you're going to use. This morning, the machine I was going to use was broken, as was the backup. More than half of the machines need repair, with most of them not even tagged that they cannot be used! And once it is tagged, it'll remain unusable for months! Customers pay dues for a clean, safe, and usable gym. They DO NOT pay dues to encounter broken equipment in a filthy unsafe workout area!

I called around 12pm and was told they were at lunch and would call back. I didn't get a call back, so I called again around 1:30 and was told they were still out. I waited another two hours (around 3:30pm), called back and was told they'd call me back around 4pm. Finally at 4:30pm, Jared finally called back, only to be told that the pricing we had previously discussed went from $55/month to $65/month. I understood that there was a price difference and was okay with it. Jared had quoted me what was going to be due upfront, roughly $270. I said okay and proceeded to give my credit card information and was told I was good to go. Five minutes later, I get a text from Jared stating the price mentioned did not include the two guest passes, which I had stated from the beginning to include the price. Overall, it was unprofessional to have me waiting four hours for a call just to be told the wrong price after giving my card information.

The website is great and easy to book no contract or initiation fee. Each class is set up in stations to focus building skills for developing different tumbling stunts such as cartwheels, front walk over, and back walk overs. The parent waiting area located outside the gym with two large windows to view the participants working through muscle memory stations. It is in a shared space with the juice bar connected to In Shape gym. Pro tip: evenings get pretty packed so make sure you give yourself enough time to find parking. The parking is shared with In Shape gym. If you are unable to make a session you can reschedule your session through your confirmation email. My child was recently sick the day before a tumbling session and it was super easy to reschedule.

I'm writing to share some concerns I have about the youth basketball organization my grandson…read moreplayed for. While I did appreciate that the organization existed, I'm worried about the safety, fairness, and nonpositive lessons it's providing to the kids. This organization, its owners and the referees that they either employ, but say that they're volunteers should no longer be an existence. It's unfair to the children who are trying to build good basketball skills, good sportsman skills. One thing that's been a concern is that some of the owners are also the coaches. This dual role can make it hard to ensure everyone is treated fairly and impartially when it comes to team building. It seems like the referees are sometimes influenced by the coaches' aka owners instructions, which isn't ideal. This situation also puts the children at risk. When a child reports rough play or fouls, which are usually against the rules in other leagues, the organization's policy doesn't allow them to criticize the referees. Because of this, referees aren't held responsible for their actions, no matter how they play. I've seen firsthand how children can get hurt, scratched, and learn bad playing habits during games. These incidents really show how the organization isn't doing enough to look out for the kids. Plus, the organization's structure seems a bit biased. With multiple owners and coaches involved, there's a chance for favoritism and unfair treatment. Since there are so many great youth basketball programs in the Sacramento area, like Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, and Natomas, I would suggest thinking about other options for your child. Making sure your kids are safe and happy should be your main focus.
