We moved into building 8 last december as our first apartment ever and it has been great. Lovely staff in the front office are always awesome and willing to help! This is worst place I have ever lived. Run by a property manger so wildly incompetent it's bizarre. Things I pay for but do not get, garbage service, working stove, non-leaking windows, working shower, fitness center, laundry room, car care service. PARENTS AND PET OWNERS PLEASE BE BEWARE! If you want to live in an apartment with horrible ventilation and mold problems with maintenance men that welcome themselves into your home unannounced AND WITHOUT warning then look no further! First time renter here and I spent SO long looking for the best apartment district in the area. I ultimately went with Walden Crossing after going through so many reviews and even viewing the apartment itself. First of all if you can't view the actual apartment you'll be renting DO NOT sign a lease. I was in a time crunch so I unfortunately couldn't view the actual apartment we moved into but after trusting the reviews and seeing another "available" apartment at the time I raced to sign the lease. Keep in mind the apartment I did see was perfect and BEAUTIFUL! New appliances and everything! Even the district was beautiful.. so you can understand my frustration and surprise after we moved into our actual apartment and saw all of this. The mold took a month before it started appearing on all of the windows. I was told I can clean the mold myself and that's it. The maintenance team (of 2 people) is also a complete joke (I know because my dad is a repair man), they do such a sucky job at repairs that I'm astonished each time. I made a complaint about one of the tubs needing to be recaulked and once they finally sent someone over (weeks later) I was not only NOT notified beforehand but they even welcomed themselves in after assuming nobody was home when they were they were just in their rooms SLEEPING! SCARY RIGHT? We agreed beforehand (at the time they replaced our stove) that I would call and let them know whenever I was ready for them to come over and while I was at work they came over anyways! After Cynthia left it's been downhill ever since. Absolutely ZERO communication between these boys that are currently running Walden Crossing Apartments. Please be warned people. RUN! read more

Run far and run fast. These individuals will rip you off in a heart beat and not look back. I moved out on April 3rd which was a Sunday. Upon moving out I request they contact me to do the walk through. I was notified of damages on the 8th of April that following Friday. I asked for photo evidence and never received it. On the 11th which was that following Monday I was finally able to get them to send them to me on that day my wife requested again to do a formal walkthrough to inspect the supposed damages she was told the apartment had been turned over and would be rented out. I asked for the third time to do a formal walkthrough on the 26th and I was told it was turned over and rented out so a formal walkthrough was not possible. After finally receiving all documentation months later I found the the "repairs" to the walls had been done on the 7th which is the day before I was notified of them and the floor was repaired on the 28th which is 2 days after I requested the thrid walkthrough and was denied. They also forged the move out inspection paperwork because my wife never signed it or signed for the damages and could not provide me with the original copies of proof. Do not let them do this to yet another individual. read more

Don't waste your time... so many better apartments in the area the walls are paper thin you can hear everything and they can hear you. There seemed to always be a problem. The only nice thing about living there was the very friendly and helpful maintenance workers. read more

The apartments are nice, but not for the price. The management is horrible, mainly because the main lady in the place is allowed to run free and do whatever she wants with no repercussions. The other people in the office has a huge turnover do to this fact. If you move in make sure you pay close attention to the water bill to say it fluctuates would be a huge understatement. read more

The leasing lady and her husband who works on the property were so helpful! We came all the way from Newnan to look at these apartments because I just recently got a new job offer on the Northside of Atlanta. We felt bad for arriving 15 minutes before close wanting to see a model 2 bedroom but Cynthia was so sweet about it all. She stayed over to ensure that all of our questions were answered before making our decision to start a lease. We are so pleased with how nice the pool, fitness area (with new updated equipment) and grounds were kept. We can't wait to move in!! Highly recommend checking it out! It's very affordable, quiet little area and kept so nice and clean, with great mountain views! read more

I don't even want to give this place 1 star! My experience with this apartment complex has been horrible! The staff is always changing, and all of them are horrible. The only girl that was helpful left, and probably for good reason. They do not side at all with you. If you call them with an issue, they interrogate you like you're at fault. DO NOT leave any valuables out when you are gone. Put them in a safe. I've had multiple items come up missing from my apartment. The only other people that have access to my apartment are the maintenance guys and other staff members. I brought it to their attention that some things are missing from my place and they assured me that they don't "hire just anyone off the streets, and that they have no reason to go into my apartment" I was also told that they "consistently, throughout the day, keep track of the maintenance men and every thing that they do" So instead of a "I'm so sorry to hear that. Let me check into that and I'll have someone give you a call" I got accused of lying to them and never even got a phone call back. Also, 1 month before our 2 month notice we were thinking about staying 1 more year just so we didn't have to fork over a bunch of money getting a new apartment. So we went to the leasing office and were looking into moving to a different building into a one bedroom instead of a loft. They told us they had a walk in level available that we could upgrade to hardwood floors and new countertops so on and so on. So we told them in our 2 month notice that we would extend our lease and transfer to that one bedroom. Soon after that they told us that they don't know what they are upgrading yet and that they didn't have a walk in level available to move. They also lied about pricing. So here we are "stuck" with another year in this hell hole. Pshh no way!! I told them to discard that notice and that we are leaving since we were given false information. The maintenance men don't know how to fix anything and will just walk into your apartment without knocking! Our garbage disposal wasn't working so a week later they decide to come "fix" it. Come to realize that they didn't attach it back together and everything under my sink was soaked in nasty water!! Back when I first moved in this place, I was in bed and had just woken up when the maintenance men barge into my apartment without knocking and I was not dressed...I just sat in my room quiet and listening and all they did was walk around my apartment having a casual conversation....probably looking for shit to steal. Regardless, this place is awful. Do not waste your money! All this place does is bitch at you. Oh, and God Forbid if you have a dog...Just take your time and $$ elsewhere. read more

Location, location, location! The new hospital is down the street, as is lots of shopping and restaurants (Target, Chipotle, WhchWich). My move in went very well. They showed me where everything is in the apartments and were very helpful in answering any questions I had about the lease. I was even provided with a checklist sheet in case I found anything wrong with my apartment when I moved in. The maintenance here is very quick to respond to anything I need. You'll even get an email afterwards to respond to the repair. You can tell by the grounds and the condition of the apartments that the staff truly cares about the apartments. read more

Terrible, over priced, staff is always changing. 10 days late on rent once and they make you pay almost $1500 in late fees and change your rent payment. We have lived here for a year now and we love it! The management staff is always very helpful, especially Derek and Cynthia. The maintenance man is WONDERFUL. He has been called to our apartment twice on a weekend night and did everything he could to fix our issue promptly and without hesitation. We live on the 2nd floor and rarely hear our neighbors. The apartment itself is very nice. Nice upgrades. Spacious. Everything we could want out of an apartment. The pool is gorgeous and the gym is updated too! They do monthly social functions that are nice too. For the area we live in, rent is fairly priced. It did not sky rocket after our renewal either. All in all, I have nothing bad to say about this complex. My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and plan to be here for as long as possible. Also- all (or most) of our neighbors in the 800 building are great! Thanks management!! read more

This is the worst place I have ever lived....Period! Stay away unless you are desperate and have nowhere else to go! Read the reviews going back in time (which I did not do, unfortunately) and you will see time and again the issues with horrible service from the "management" staff, that in my experience are highly incompetent, horrible communicators and have zero empathy. I have experienced that they are great at re-direction, deflection and rationalizing/justifying any tenant issue that comes up. Gates have been broken for almost two months, and they always blame the contractor (many other gated communities around with no problems). Tenant vetting is highly questionable as exampled by constant noise (this is HUGE issue) and other possible unsafe/undesirable activities. Too bad too, because maintenance staff is pretty good and responsive, the landscaping is nice and the apartments are pretty clean, updated and functional. Power goes out every time a thunderstorm comes up though. read more

The good with the bad review. I lived here for almost 3 years, I only stayed that long due to the pains of moving. The property itself is ok, maintained pretty well. They do the routine upkeep of pressure washing and lawn services keep the area looking nice. There have been some recent updates with the gym equipment which was way overdue. I had a small pest problem but nothing I could not fix with spraying inside my own apartment. I would STRONGLY recommend if you rent from here get a top floor apartment. The noise levels from other tenants are a lot louder than I've ever experienced in other apartments. I addressed this with the manager multiple times. They only recommend letting someone come out when the noise is going but are never available to come out. I've known 3 other tenants to move out due to the excess noise. The response time from management for issues has become a problem in the last 6 months. The staff turnover rate is very high, every 3-6 months there are new faces in the office. The apartments are very cheap quality, but that's to be expected with apartments. The other amenities pool, car wash, dog park and are pretty well kept up. If I would have had a top floor apartment I would have honestly stayed longer but the constant excess noise was my final decision to leave. They are working on "upgrading" the apartments, which will drive up price. The other positive about this apartment complex is the location, very convenient to I575, but if you're working in Marietta or Atlanta south be prepared the commute is horrible! My 26 mile drive takes anywhere from 45 min on a good day to 1.5 hours with bad traffic. The area is expanding, and road construction constantly going on for the interstate. The local area of Canton has most of what anyone would need for big box stores. read more
