She was able to get us registered online with an appointment...we were in and out inside of 45 min each time. Aside from attempting usage of the wireless printer on site everything went super well. My appointment was scheduled for 1pm, I arrived and checked in at 12:55pm, was called at 1pm and walked out finished by 1:10pm. There were able 30-40 people waiting. I would do zero stars if I could. I went in to retake my Class A CDL test, and it started out good. But when I was doing my offset, I decided to pull up. I probably didn't 100% need to, but I thought I would just to be safe since I had two of them. Then the examiner got really nasty and irritated. Yelling, Why did I do that? And that I wasted a pull-up. Also, he walked in front of my truck as I was about to pull up. I was already nervous and stressed; the last thing I need is an examiner yelling at me. I ended up failing my test. Now, I'm not blaming the examiner because it's mostly my fault, but damn, it distracted me and threw me all off. I just think the whole ordeal is really unprofessional. read more

If for some reason you pass your 30 days for your safety inspection, like maybe it took some time to do some repairs like my situation, the MVA does not offer you any option to extend the time, no temp tags, pretty much won't work with you at all. They don't care. I would as just trying to do the right thing so I'm not riding dirty to get inspected. Their recommendation was to have it towed to a place to get inspected. Really!?! These people are unreal and so out of touch with life. I truly believe in karma and I'm sure their day will come. I can totally understand why people avoid the MVA like the plague. I can't believe I am actually giving an MVA five stars but let me tell you why. I am a new MD resident (moved from VA) and had an appt scheduled for 8:45am yesterday. I arrived at 8:43am and there was a long line to check in. A woman approached the line and said, everyone is required to have an appt, so we should check our phones to find the link to state that "you are here." I checked my email, found the link, and checked in at 8:45. I went to sit down, and immediately my number showed up on the screen to approach the window. I didn't even get a chance to sit down! I gave the woman all of the paperwork that I was required to bring according to the online pre-assessment you complete prior to making an appointment. One document was not acceptable, but I came prepared for the games the MVA/DMV plays, so I had two documents for every document they request. In other words, I had a backup document and a backup to the backup document. In under 10 minutes, I had my picture taken, and vision checked. I had to wait ~5 minutes for my VA license to be verified. Was asked to come back to the window and paid the fees. By 9:02am I was calling my husband to tell him that I was already on my way home! ***My advice*** 1. Go online and select to schedule an appt and take the pre-assessment to ensure you have all the documentation required. 2. Bring with you two or three documents from each category they request on the assessment. 3. Say a prayer that the person you work with is having a good day! (I did say a little prayer for them that they were having a good day as I woke up and was getting ready.) read more

This MVA has a very racist and disrespectful manager. My uncle entered this MVA with a DACA letter to renew his CDL license. He went to the counter and told the lady there what we wanted to do. The lady proceeded to go to get the manager. When the manager arrived, She proceeded to scream at my uncle, calling him a liar and "You people wanna come here whenever you want". She then ripped up the paper that he had filled out and kept on screaming in his face telling him to never come back. My uncle feels disrespected and this action seems to be racially motivated as my uncle is Latino. Do not come to this MVA if you are want to communicate with the manager. This is a great service because it prevents you from having to comeback if you don't have all required documents. To whom it may concern, First of all I would like to say my name is Mhorelley Cruz I'm 21yrs. Old. I'm from Honduras and I've been in the US now for about five years. I'm considered a dreamer who was brought here by my parents as a child. I'm very much documented in this country under the DACA, program benefits and have been to several immigration appointments in addition to Homeland security. I was directed my legal counsel to get fingerprinted for the purposes of obtaining my Maryland State ID card in order to enroll my child in school this coming September which I'm legally required by Maryland to do. Today I had a very bad experience at your Waldorf Maryland MVA office. The incident occurred on July 25th 2022 at approximately 1:30 hrs. I responded to The Waldorf MVA office for my 1:30 appointment to be finger printed. I waited about two weeks just to get this appointment. I was directed to the MVA by The Honduras Embassy located at 1990 M Street NW. in addition to The Maryland State Police and PG County public school system. Upon arrival to the finger print office I was greeted by a gentleman who identified himself only as Mr. Kim who asked how can I help you? I responded I'm here today for finger prints through my translator Ms. Nidia Carter. Mr. Kim asked for my name as he looked at my appointment as it appeared on his computer. Mr. Kim then asked for my Identification at which time I presented my Honduras passport. Mr. Kim stated in a loud and revealing manner "This is not an ID I need a government ID" he then went on to ask "are you illegal because I don't' serve any illegal immigrants. I have never felt so humiliated in my life. I felt very exposed and embarrassed as other patrons in the office who overheard the conversation and took notice. I asked to speak to a supervisor because I was directed here by other government entities to include the school board and PG County Dept. of Social Services and did not know where else to turn. Mr. Kim stated in a very mean demeanor with discriminant overtones "I'm the supervisor and I don't serve no Illegal immigrants" At this point I began to cry because I was very hurt by his words. I asked for his name at which time he only identified himself as Mr. Kim. I'm unable to work, get housing , or medical care and provide for my 4yr. old child who is an American citizen because I lost all of my credentials a few months prior. If Mr. Kim is a manager or supervisor for The State of Maryland he certainly did not act like a professional on this day. My son has only a few weeks left for me to enroll him in school or It will be to late. If this is in fact the policy at The MVA I understand totally and would appreciate being turned in the right direction. This place needs to be reformed immediately: the staffs, especially on the titling section need to be trained well. After studying their website thoroughly, I prepared all of my vehicle titling documents to register my out-of- state purchased vehicle. However, they kept asked me to show the original title and I told them that the title is kept by my bank because the vehicle is purchased through a financing process. Their website says clearly that in that case I could use the vehicle purchase documents to show the ownership and I can get a 60- day temporary registration. Meanwhile, it allows me (by using a separate form) request the bank to send the title to the MD MVA so that I could renew the registration before the temporary one expires, as soon as the MD MVA receive the title from the bank. Such a simple thing, they repeated the same request again and again, just like a parrot. read more

0 stars. I went to the Waldorf Location last Tuesday (Dec. 7th) to get my drivers license. I dealt with a woman named "cookie" and she did not appear to know what she was doing. She kept asking multiple coworkers to help her. By the time that the process was over, it was too late to send my application through the Glen Burnie DMV branch for approval. She told me to come back the next day so I could pay the fee and send over the application. She told me my documents and photo was saved. I arrived the next day (December 8th) and my documents and photo were not saved. Instead of taking responsibility, cookie blamed another coworker who I also dealt with. She called more people over to our station to blame another coworker. I had to listen to four people tell her that she did not save my documents correctly but she refused to accept it. She took up 20 minutes blaming someone else. We had to start the process over and by the time we were done, Glen Burnie DMV was closed again -_- I came back the next day (Thursday 9th 9am) and I went to a different agent who helped me. I paid $20 for overnight shipping. While I was paying cookie approached me and asked me why I didn't return to her station so she could continue to help me....**rolls eyes**. Three didn't agents told me my ID would arrive the next day which is Friday. My ID was supposed to be shipped overnight for the additional $20 I paid. It's now Wednesday (Dec.15) and I still don't have it. I called and spoke to many different people who gave me different answers. I'm still waiting for my Drivers license and now my refund for the next day shipping that I paid for. I've had to forfeit over $900 worth of shifts that I was scheduled to work due to not having proper I.D. This is the worst customer service I've ever had. read more

New ID If I could less than this, I would. I waited 45 minutes in a line for someone to look at my docs and tell me that I was missing something, but the copy I was provided differed from that online. I came back the next day and stood in the 45 minute line again. Took my docs up and the mail to your home, if renting is BILLS ONLY. They will scan it all in. You don't get your updated ID. You have to wait 5-7 business days. If your license is expiring, will expire, or is expired...you must ask for a temp id. I didn't ask for this when I was there. I went to fill a script at the pharmacy and they wouldn't do it because my license expired even though I had the form/receipt they gave. Bring more than one credit card. The lady said my card didn't work and I had just used it. She didn't want me to get my ID after all that and I think was trying to find a reason to push me away. The handouts given after the fact should be provided at the door so people can check themselves first and not waste anyone's time. We don't want to go through this process just as much as you don't want to deal with it day in and out. Just be helpful and polite. You don't know what people had to do to get their legal docs, who were already U.S. citizens and probably never left the county/state let alone the country. It would make the public so much nicer if staff there had a heart. This is the time where empathic staff are useful, or train the staff you have. read more

My husband and I both made appointments. Mine for 12:30, his for 1:00. Since we were both there they checked us in and gave us consecutive appointment numbers which was nice. We were seen within ten minutes of arrival and were out by 1:05. We were both there to get Maryland drivers licenses since we're new to the area. I made sure that we had multiple types of the requested documents in case there were any issues but there were none. I always think it's better to have to have more than you need at the DMV! I found the whole experience to be pretty seamless! Look, nobody likes the DMV, but this was probably the best experience I've had at one. Just make sure you make an appointment and have the required documentation. People failing to do those things isn't the employees or business' fault. read more

Absolutely horrible. i had went here a year ago for my permit test which was fine, except for the fact they were trying to rush me out the whole time. When it was time to take my photo i was not ready and they decided to take the picture anyway saying "let's go 1,2,3" and then when i had told them i didn't like it they told me "you look fine" and kept it rolling. in addition, later that day i had realized they had messed up my address on my permit card because they were rushing my progress. SECONDLY, i went here to take my drivers skills test and everything was fine until i met the attendant at the cone before the course. It was very obvious from the gecko she did not have a friendly attitude and when it was time for me to drive she told me to park next to the red cone with the flag. i proceeded to dive forward looking for a cone and she then told me i missed my turn so i had went back and turned into the lot and STILL did not see a red cone at all. i then told her i was confused where she was talking about and she then pointed to it. low and behold, the red cone she was talking about was a FADED skinny red cone ON THE CURB SIDE of the course in the grass, completely not visible at first glance. i then proceeded to tell her "how was i supposed to see that" trying to keep my calm and she then proceeded to say "everyone sees it" i could go on more about other negative things that made this experience as a new driver discouraging and unhelpful but i think you get the point to this review by now. Overall this place is unorganized, unhelpful, and the staff has the worst attitude. i would not recommend going here to anyone and will never be going back to this place for nothing. read more

I don't know why the other reviews on 1 star... when MVA is MVA Yes service is crazy ...the way its organized is to be desired...but it's still MVA..at the end of the day..we can't go around it if we have to go the MVA... This is the absolute best MVA in the Maryland area besides going to the one in Annapolis. The self-service kiosk is excellent for change of address etc... though Largo is closer...I don't mind the drive to the Waldorf location because I know I'm going to be in and out..the wait is never "that" long. 2 hour wait for daughter to take provisional drivers test. Total time was 2:40. Ridiculous! We were told they happened to be certifying the commercial driver course which required 2 out of 3 of the driver test personnel. So this was planned and they knew how many appts had been made. Sounds like they could have not taken appts at this time and folks would not have had to wait 2 hours. They were apologetic but this was totally unnecessary. My daughter was nervous enough without a 2 hour wait until she got tested. Maybe this is not norm but this was definitely poor planning on their part and inconsiderate. No one likes to wait that long especially with an appointment. read more

The experience was painless. We arrived at 8:25 and there was an individual triaging outside. Once the doors opened at 8:30 we were escorted in and there were 5 people at the information desk to direct people based on the services needed. We needed tags, plates and driver licenses.
