Worst dental office experience ever. Go ANYWHERE else!! Refused to help my wife's pain without a cash payment upfront. I have great insurance, and even a HSA account with thousands in it. Still refused to help. After paying, they did the first part of the procedure and sent her home with NO pain medication. The HSA payment was received two days after the first procedure including the amount I had paid in cash. It took this office 8 weeks... 2 MONTHS and several phone calls to finally get my money back from them (minus $25 for some BS fee). This dental office is full of rude employees and they are committing fraud. They tried to bill me for a procedure that I had done over 2 years ago. Just 30 days after they notified me of this bill, I was sent to collections. When I requested the documentation, the office manager avoided my calls for over a week, and then let me know that they had written off the debt. Obviously this was because they didn't bill the insurance on time and didn't want me to know that it was their fault that the insurance denied it. This was all done in retaliation for me firing them and asking for a refund for a denture that didn't fit. They are rude, condescending, self righteous, and have terrible "chair side manner". I went there because my previous experience was great, however all of those employees are gone and they are left with an office that clearly needs better management. We've been patients here for about a year. When we started, weekend appointments were available. After a new doctor joined, we were told they never did weekends and now won't schedule later than 3:00 PM, even though the office closes at 5:00 PM and their posted hours show Saturdays are open. The front office staff was rude and dismissive. When I asked if she could understand my frustration with the ongoing issues, she responded by saying "this is my job" and insisted a HIPAA authorization was required, without any effort to listen or show understanding. I was told I could not help schedule appointments or discuss my husband's account because no authorization was listed, despite the fact that I've handled his appointments for over a year and had already completed the required paperwork. I was only asking for invoices and the treatment plan to be emailed directly to him at the email already on file--not sent to me--but this was still turned into an issue. Dr. Mokbil has this natural glow about him. He always seems immersed in his work and has a genuine passion for what he does It's quite clear he enjoys his work. He is also a very meticulous dentist, always ensuring every examination is down with much care and attentiveness. I would say I trust him with my teeth. Take your money and Disappear. I'm writing to express my deep disappointment with the ongoing lack of communication and disregard I've experienced from your office following my consultation. Despite paying for the consultation on July 23, 2025, I have yet to receive the follow-up and support that was promised. I was assured that my prescription would be sent to Kaiser immediately, but that only happened after I had to follow up myself. My August 1st appointment was also rescheduled without proper notice, and even though I arrived on time for the new 10:30 AM slot, I was not seen until 11:43 AM. Beyond these scheduling issues, I've repeatedly requested a detailed cost breakdown for the surgery as instructed by the surgeon--yet my calls and emails continue to be ignored. It's hard not to conclude that your office is intentionally avoiding my requests after collecting payment. This is both unethical and unprofessional. It appears the only urgency your staff has shown is in collecting money--not in providing actual patient care or communication. DO NOT GO HERE!! They are ripping people off left and right. My husband and I went here for about 2 years and there was always something extra they were trying to charge us for. The last time I went in was in November and they tried to tell me that I needed a deep cleaning and it was going to cost 877.71 after insurance. I originally went in for just my 6 month exam and cleaning and they told me that because I needed this deep cleaning they could not do a normal cleaning. I've been going to the dentist since I was a kid and I have never been denied my 6 month cleaning. I highly doubted that I really needed a deep cleaning because I usually always go for a cleaning at the 6 month mark but 6 months before that when I came in for my cleaning the hygienist literally had me in and out in 15 minutes. I've never had a cleaning done that fast. So I told them if I did need a deep cleaning it was because the last time I was there the hygienist didn't do anything. Again they refuse to do my cleaning unless I paid the $877 so I told them I would not be doing it today and I would get be getting a pre-authorization from my dental insurance. On top of the deep cleaning they said that I needed a crown because I had a filling that needed to be replaced and they didn't think another filing would work. I was quoted at $1,395 for the crown. In total they wanted me to pay $2, 272. 71 for dental work. I found this highly suspicious so I switched to a different Dentist. I upgraded my dental coverage and went to a good dentist in Folsom and they said I did not need a deep cleaning and I didn't need a crown. They did a normal 6-month cleaning that lasted for about an hour which is what I typically remember them being about. And I will be going back to the dentist in Folsom to get the filling refilled. In total I will be paying $171 for the filling. Walerga dental is shady and I believe performing dental work that doesn't need to be done. Oh and they also told me that I had periodontal disease and the new dentist that I saw said nothing about that. Walerga dental did 2 crowns on my husband and now I'm wondering if he ever really needed them. Oh and they also required him to get a deep cleaning! At the time that he got his deep cleaning he hadn't been to a dentist in a couple of years so I thought maybe he truly needed it but now looking back I'm kind of thinking no. When he got his first crown they were trying to charge him around 1300 for it but we got the pre-authorization from our insurance and insurance said it should only be $300 so we said nothing to Walerga dental until we got to his appointment and when it came time for payment I told them that I spoke with insurance and the code that they are trying to bill me for is only $300 and that's what we would be paying. They tried to argue for a little while but I had a printout and I told them we could call insurance right now and they can tell you exactly what I'm telling you and they folded and only charged us $300 for the first crown. The second crown he got was a while after the first one and again they were trying to charge us a crazy amount and again I told them no we are only paying $300. In between this time they have changed management but every single time we have gone here it is always something. So even though the management is different it's still the same gimmick. And I don't know what is going on there but we've never seen the same dentist twice it seems like everybody is constantly rotating in and out. I really suggest nobody goes here. We originally just had delta dental insurance but I've started paying more monthly for delta dental premier. It is a bit more monthly but it's going to save us in the long run from having to go to a crappy dentist. read more

My husband called to have them verify so he could take time off work but was told that they'll do it and to just wait. I had to get a wisdom tooth pulled, took Walerga dental a month to pull it, cause the dentist working was too inexperienced to do it, so they had to get anthor dentist to come to the office to pull the tooth. Then they wouldn't do my free cleaning and kept scheduling me for a deep cleaning that cost $230. The in office the dentist told me that if I don't do the deep cleaning I will get gingivitis. I continue to refuse and the dentist told me all my teeth are going to fall out. I left and found a honest dentist, and was advised that I didn't need a deep cleaning. I then heard the dental assistants talking about Walerga dental and the way Walerga dentist have to upsell products and services to get bonuses and over all keep there job. read more

I'm battling Walerga because they claimed to be a part of Delta Dental Group. According to Delta, they are NOT. They are NOT "in network". I paid 2k (not including Delta's payment) for something that would've been $900 if in network. To make matters worse, Delta's portion was not received by me. I called Walerga and they said it's ok and extended the date until I get the payment from Delta. I just received a "collection" notice from an agency. Totally crap. Had they been a part of Delta, the payment would go directly to them. Don't waste your time - find another dental group! NONE of their dentists are "in-network". I'd rate this place 0 stars if I could. The short story is this place is full of scam artists that have no problem ripping you off, and then never answering your calls. The long story is I came in to do my first checkup, after not going to the dentist for a few years. A couple of wisdom teeth came in, and I had some gum line issues along with a couple of cavities. I get a quote for all the work and it comes out to $3700. I opt to go with the wisdom tooth removal first, and they were going to remove all of them per Dr. Bennett's recommendation. I had disclosed during that visit that I had sleep apnea, so if there were going to be any issues to let me know. I heard nothing. They gave me no real procedures of what to expect the day of my wisdom tooth removal, only to have someone pick me up. What they didn't say was a person had to stay the entire time. What they also didn't say was the $2000 quote for the removal was actually a co-pay that I had to pay all upfront. No billing afterward like every other procedure I've done. Again, nobody told me this before the procedure, otherwise I could have moved some money around. Strike one. The next thing I know, I'm in the chair getting hooked up and ready for my wisdom tooth removal, when one of the dental assistants said "You have sleep apnea, so we're not going to be able to sedate you fully." I started having a panic attack and aborted the procedure, mainly due to my anxiety at the dentist's office in general. Their oral surgeon, who is a traveling oral surgeon and goes to many different practices, questioned why I was getting all four wisdom teeth removed when only two really needed to be removed. So basically, this was two dental professionals in the same building now contradicting each other. Strike two. I had to have the procedure financed since I didn't have enough money upfront to pay for the "co-pay". So when I aborted the procedure, the person at the front desk told me they will be voiding the transaction. Did they? No. Strike three. I've called now a couple of times only to get met with "We're busy helping other people" and "Please leave a message". At this point, I'm figuring it's time to lawyer up until they can actually void the transaction because I should not have to pay for something I didn't actually go through with. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I used to go to the office in Rancho Cordova (part of the network) and since I moved, just decided to come here since it was close to me and already had my history/charts, etc. The reviews are correct.... This place tries to SCAM their patients. Today, I encountered it first hand. I got an estimate for a crown I needed. I do have good dental insurance and this is an in-network provider. My out of pocket was going to be a little over $900... the front desk person was quick to say I could finance it with 40% down. Lucky for me, I previously reviewed my dental insurance and had an estimate what I should be paying. My dental insurance pays 50% of what I needed, they marked it as 0% from insurance. I called dental dental to confirm and review the codes given for the work needed. They said my out of pocket should be lower then the estimate, and said I should have this dentist send them a pre-authorization to get real actual numbers. So I went back and did that. Couldn't just get that done without a front desk staff saying "Ive never seen that code covered before", so I repeated it was covered by my insurance and showed him online too my benefits. The staff member proceeded with "you know it can take 6 weeks for the insurance to review". Instead of simply just doing the paperwork for prior authorization like I requested, I felt like I was being steered away and just pay what they wanted. No thanks! Especially after what my insurance told me... that is the point of having insurance to have less out of pocket expenses. I quickly called around and found a new dentist who accepts my insurance and is accepting new patients and when I told them my situation, they asked if they may know who this dentist was, and they replied with "Im not surprised". DENTAL CUSTOMERS, BEWARE!!! My recent experience with this dentist was horrific, and I highly do not recommend Dr. Timothy Bennett at the Walegra Dental Group unless you seek to receive barbaric and neglectful dental treatment. I contacted the dental office a few weeks ago regarding severe tooth pain. I got an emergency appointment, where it was determined I had an infected tooth and needed a root canal. But the root canal could not be scheduled until the following week because the dental group had no one in the office that could perform the root canal, which was odd, but I digress. Unfortunately, my condition took a turn for the worse, and I became incapacitated with debilitating pain. I contacted Dr. Bennett, begging that I have the root canal performed immediately and be given something for the pain. The entire time, I repeatedly requested some pain reliever but was denied and told to take 800mg of ibuprofen and Tylenol, which did not help. Eventually, a dentist was found to perform the root canal at another office, but I still had to wait and suffer in pain for a couple of days. I received an emergency root canal for the infected tooth while in excruciating pain. Unfortunately, my condition worsened, and I ended up in the emergency room, where I was treated for a blood infection that rapidly spread throughout my body. I spent over 24 hours at the hospital being treated with more potent antibiotics and pain relievers and given a CT scan to ensure the infection had not spread to my vital organs. At no time did Dr. Bennett or any staff members follow up or show concern about my condition. So, when I was able, I called the dental office to cancel any future appointments and informed them that I would not be returning to their office ever again. I'd give them a negative star rating if it were an option. read more

Unprofessional. I paid in cash and they called me asking me to make a payment. After three calls she found the paper receipt. I would have had to pay $400 AGAIN. I had fraud occur on my account through my bank, I told Walerga Dental so they knew and would know my payment wouldn't be made. They sent the remainder of my bill to collections. (Currently waiting on the phone for a manager) As a business you shouldn't be losing receipts for cash and you should step up your inner communications. I've been to this office with my father several times for his appointments. They've always been difficult to work with. I called recently to help him change an appt date. The first call I made I was told there was one caller ahead of me and placed on hold for 10 minutes before the call just disconnected. I called back a second time and when I was told they were callers ahead of me I explained I had already been on hold for 10 minutes and they said they will be with me as soon as they can, and put me on hold again. Once again, after about 10 minutes, the call arbitrarily disconnected. I called back a third time and immediately got a voicemail so I left a voice message asking for a call back. It's been several days and I still have not heard back. I would NEVER use this office for myself. Worst customer service ever!!! read more

Walerga Denral is part of Smile Generationn. I recently had an appointment for a bridge replacement. I was asked to take a seat. A few minutes later a young man walked over to me in the lobby. He stood 4 feet away and announced I had $5000. Deductible. The other patients could hear. The young man said he was just reading what was on the chart. We went to the counter where he attempted to review my records. He was incompetent. Another gentleman approached the counter. He explained my insurance only covers porcelain bridges for $2000. I checked with my insurance who said that was false. I called the office to speak witha manager to no avail. Never got a a Back. It has been a while since I've been here but Gucci Mage has memories that are strongly associated with this place. Every time someone asks me about this place I cringe and tell them to avoid at all cost. It's almost like black magic is being used on me. At the time I was going here I was paying privately. No dental insurance to take care of my bill. I've must have spent over $4000 on my own dental. I must say I loved my hygienist though. She was very nice, polite, professional. I wish the actual dentist was like her and I hope she got the hell out of there. On my final visit I had cancelled my appointment and scheduled it maybe 3-4 months later meaning I didn't go to the dentist for 9-10 months. When I went to my last appointment I told Dr Kaur that I had just got a new job and was trying to settle in. She told me because I haven't seen her in 6 months that I had some dental issues that required crowns. Then she told me in a callous tone that she's too busy and doesn't have time for me. Insinuating I have to make another appointment to see her majesty. Spoiler alert I made some time for you now Dr Kaur because I am no longer your patient. My boss referred me to another dentist, because I have awesome dental now. My first visit with them I had x-rays, cleaning, and check up. He said my teeth were all good. I asked him about why my other dentist would suggest I needed some crowns. He was so humble, he said that she may have had her reasons but he cannot see a reason why I would need them. He even asked what teeth she was referring to because he couldn't determine what she was even talking about. my grandma came home and has been coming to the dental office FOR YEARS ! she spoke with someone regarding her dentures she dropped off her denture and they were fixing it she went back because they haven't contacted her in 4 weeks so she went to the office and they said she can't get her dentures because dr needs to make sure it fits, which is understandable but the visit only would have been 20 minutes , my grandma was upset and stated they wouldn't give it to her my grandma asked to speak with the dr and the front desk lady said she isn't available, a couple minutes later the doctor came up and took her back the dr was very rude and if my grandma wasnt entitled to her denture it. the customer service was awful ! read more

Not impressed with professional or administrative staff. As I sat, waiting for my daughter, I watched the front staff who always put callers on hold, saying they were serving another patient (??-nope), then chatted with each other about inane personal issues. When I tried to call their office a couple of days later, I was on hold so long I hung up. Terrible work ethic. They also over-charged on an initial consult (no free consults), I caught the mistake and got a refund, but I had to ask for it. My daughter had a bridge fall out, which she needed repaired after the 2 anchor teeth broke. She took the teeth in a baggie, hoping they could use the two artificial teeth in a new bridge, as they were undamaged. When we ask for them back, we were told they threw them all out as they were damaged. Not in my opinion. So now she needs to replace those, too. Explanation of options was not clear and cost was beyond our expectations, so we backed out after paying for one temporary plastic tooth to fill in the gap. Only to discover it must be removed to eat, drink, sleep. (cheap looking, uncomfortable, and unusable). That cost was $238. I haven't seen her wear it yet! Overall, a bad experience! Beware of this office, I was going to have 2 crowns done but then it was decided that I need to have crown lengthening done first after some over zealous grinding...at an additional $1200. At this point I put a stop to all work. Unknown to me the crowns were already placed into my pre existing payment arrangement and not removed when I cancelled all work. I have called and spoken with the "office manager" Sabrina who stated that my payment arrangement would be cancelled and she would have to call corporate to see how to do a refund and she would call me back the next day. No call, I called again and got the same story. Still waiting for that call. Its been 6 months of this, I had to cancel my debit card to stop the payments from coming out, still no call. Pacific dental services is now involved and they too have gotten the same story from Sabrina. Either she is incompetent or she is just blowing everyone off. At this point I'm afraid that I will have to file small claims as they owe me $958.85 that I paid for work that was never done... I went there in January and they told me I needed extensive work (16 teeth pulled, and bridges, and partials). It was excruciating and expensive. even with my insurance, i had to pay with a credit card and monthly financing (Auto pay of course). It came out to over 10,000.00. AFTER I committed and paid them thousands of dollars and went through the surgery they are very vague about when I'm getting my permanent partial and the old one is cracked!! I called and asked if i can have it fixed and now they want me to pay another $100 . I DO NOT HAVE $100!! I JUST PAID YOU $10,000!! so now either I superglue it or I have a big gap in my teeth!! So I made an appointment to have my wisdom tooth pulled . Had the X-Rays done .A woman from dental office confirmed the appointment a week before the appointment and said she would follow up with me to give me details . The day before the appointment I decided to call the Doctor because I never got that follow up call . He told me not to eat or drink after 7 pm the day before . I thought to myself good thing I called . So I arrive at my appointment time at 7 am . At 8 am the receptionist tells me that they wouldn't be able to move forward that I needed to see a specialist. I asked her . Youre just figuring that out now 3 weeks later the day of the appointment? So this is how the office works apparently. The receptionist makes the call on which X-rays look like they need to be forwarded to the doctor . Because the Doctor that pulls the teeth comes once a month . So I guess she felt that she didn't need to and when the doctor came in this morning she looked at my xrays and said that she couldn't do it . According to the receptionist I asked the receptionist " the doctor just saw the Xrays now ? She said yes . That's a terrible way to operate . I missed work . Just went around and round. She told me she's not a Dentist and she took all the responsibility. I don't understand why she has that much responsibility on making those judgment calls if she's not qualified to ? Horrible ! Dr. Bennett was a second opinion. He said I need a root canal and porcelain crown $2400.00. First opinion was Dr. Saad, who said I need the filling replace $120.00. Walerga Dental Group open an charge account with smile generation in my name. Then on the same day charged that card $2400.00, without doing the work. Went back to Dr. Saad my tooth is fine now and Walerga Dental is not refunding the money to the credit card Company they opened as of yet. Very dishonest. Avoid this business unless you want to taken. read more
