My wife and I have been going here for years and have nothing but nice things to say. Until today. Firstly, the staff are very helpful, patient and professional. I don't hold anyone there responsible for the recent experience. The one drawback I have to mention is my latest experience that culminated today. An Ai bot, (at the time I didn't know it was Ai) asked to schedule a cleaning and checkup for me over text and I agreed. It scheduled me for today, July 10th. The bot never notified the staff about it. I showed up and the people at the front desk were at a loss as to why I was there. We finally figured out it was an Ai bot. To the people making decisions about Ai in this, and all other establishments, quit it with the Ai already. It's making things worse not better. Katie, the Ai bot at CH Dental, you suck. Everyone else at CH Dental, you rock. I would normally leave a 5 star review but today I'm taking off a star because of the decision to use Ai at this establishment. read more

HEED MY WARNING! I went to this place after my friend recommended them. I was having tooth pain, and they found an infection in one of my molars and scheduled an extraction. Luckily, on the day of the extraction, my face was swollen from the infection and they wouldn't do anything until the swelling went down. By that night, I was in so much pain I ended up in the hospital where I was kept for three days fighting off a facial cellulitis infection. While in the hospital, I learned that the infection was NOT in the tooth that Citrus Heights Dental had targeted for extraction. It was actually the tooth NEXT TO the tooth they planned to pull! Thank God for that infection. It was a horrible experience, but at least I didn't lose a perfectly healthy tooth! I never went back to that place and I never will. When I first tried to schedule an appointment, they called me to reschedule two separate times. This gave me a bad feeling, I tried to call and cancel and they talked me into giving them one more chance. My appointment came and there were more scheduling errors, I was told after my new patient x-rays that my cleaning was not scheduled that day and told to leave, as I was getting up they realized it was scheduled for that day and called me back in. The next week I came back for fillings, the experience itself was extremely unpleasant and painful. Once they were "done" they told me I was good to go, the second I got out to the parking lot they called me and told me the Dentist didn't finish one of my fillings.... meaning I had to go back in and get back in their chair. I have never experienced anything like this before by any medical professional. Quality of care and empathy levels were not there at all. Today, a month after the appointment they tried to say I owed them an additional balance. This is the worst, craziest experience I have ever had. I called and they cleared the balance, but have been blowing up my phone all day even though I have asked them to stop multiple times. Do NOT go here!!! read more

I had a terrible experience and would not recommend this dental office. Some of their staff are very pleasant, but a specific experience with one individual in particular left much to be desired. One of the staff members was extremely rude and judgemental to me, and didn't even have the facts to base said spoken judgements on. Also, saying my wife will straighten me out didn't help an already tense situation. I was also injured during a procedure, and upon mentioning it, the company filed a case to have my original review removed. Although their front desk is very friendly and welcoming, I would not come here again. Their dental hygienists only care about their numbers and running your insurance for deep cleanings! Never in my whole life have I had to get a deep cleaning since I'm pretty good with my teeth maintenance. I step foot here and the dental hygienist tells me I need a deep cleaning that if I don't get one asap I'll get gum disease etc. I never worry about my teeth but this woman instilled fear and doubt in me! She half assed my cleaning and just told me to come back and get a deep cleaning. Called CHD and spoke with" Amanda" regarding what type of insurance they accept and I have to say she seemed like she was unhappy and annoyed, she was short and acted like she didnt want to help. And to whoever called my phone trying to confront me about my review? Go to hell. Being confrontational is how you get more bad reviews. I do not recommend coming here at all you can get better service and prices at other dental places around. I spent 30 in the waiting room after finishing paperwork, while others with appointments after mine where serviced first. When I went back to see the dentist he told me that he would have to pull three of my teeth even tho one of them could have been/ was saved. The dental assistant was very nice. They had me wait out in the office after my appointment for another 30 minutes, when she called me up I informed the front desk lady that I would not be coming back due to services not being up to par. She seemed to be upset and stated that she didn't know if my insurance would pay for it then. Then decided to tell me I hadn't paid my previous dental services with my previous dental care so I would have to pay in full. I stated that was fine, and that I wasn't comfortable here and that I would be going back to my previous dentist to clear things up. I then called my previous dentist and my dental insurance, who both stated that I had payed my bills and that she was out of line for stating what she did. Almost every appointment we have had the past q.5 hrs. They call to reschedule!! So frustrating. We book our check up and cleaning appointments 6 month in advance. Will mistreat seniors and force them to pay unnecessary and outrageous fees. I am 71 years old and came here for a free exam on my denture. I was told the day before when I stopped into the office that the exam would be free and if the doctor needed to do any work that they would let me know and I could decide at that point if i would like to have the work done. The problem is half way through the free appointment they took my denture started working on them without my approval then a lady that I never seen before named Irena "manager" who by the way talked down to me and was very rude and unprofessional came in with a clipboard and asked the dental assistant if the denture was made here or somewhere else and when the dental assistant said somehwere else she immediately said its going to be $150. I explained to her that the receptionist said it was going to be free the day before and so did the assistant that was helping me at the time, she said "there is nothing for free" I was surprised and taken back how they put me in such a bad position where I felt like I was forced to pay and so I paid the $150. So i asked Irena everytime I come here i have to pay $150, she didnt even respond. The worst part is Amanda called my son and lied to him about what happened to me and told him that I actually never met Irena only Amnada when of course I met Irena and she also told him that I was supposedly happy when I left that day. I think she is mistaking class and tolerance for acceptance and happiness. I am respectdul that is why i stayed nice to all and that doesn't change the fact that you just lied to me and stole my money. The "$150 adjustment" by the way made my dentures worse. They are now uneven and come out while eating. There is no personal care here whatsoever. They are all about the money. The dental assistant was quick to tell me about the dentures they had to offer that cost thousands of dollars, again they're all about the money. If you are a senior and you come to this facility make sure you come with somebody to assist you because this place will take full advantage of you steal your money and push you to pay outrageous fees. Don't get me wrong if I was told from the beginning that it was going to cost $150 and I agreed to pay it then they did the work that would be fair but to trick me into getting work done in the middle of the work that was supposed to be free and then tell me it's actually going to cost $150 and you push me and force me into paying it is not right in any way shape or form. Please be aware of this establishment. I will go to my original dentist who treated me with such kindness and respect and have him make the adjustments. I had an accident as a child that caused 8 teeth to be loosened and one that was lost altogether. I ended up with a porcelain bridge that desperately needed replacement 15 years ago. I finally lost a portion of the bridge and was forced to get it replaced. I had no insurance and certainly didn't have the money to pay upfront for the work but this place was absolutely as accommodating as they could be with the payments. Now let's talk about the doctors and the assistants. I was sitting there with missing teeth and some pretty tough cosmetic work needing done. But when I left I had a temporary bridge in place that looked phenomenal! Talk about being happy smile again!! And the truth is David had to create the temporary on site and completely free hand! It was definitely a long session but the staff tried to make me as comfortable as possible and that included laughing when we could. I would recommend this location in a heartbeat! I went due to a break in my denture. They were wonderful! They were so friendly and the front office was so helpful!!

If you want implants you should probably go somewhere else. The actual implants were ok but the abutments were way too short and too conical that my 4 tooth bridge attached to them had a very low life expectancy of staying attached. Thus, after 2 and 1/2 years the bridge popped off. Another dentist glued it back but it fell off 2 more times. Finally, it popped out again and fell to the ground where it broke in 2. Now I have to do most of this all over again. They advertise cheap prices and the product you get is far less than average. I guess you get what you pay for. I should have known better after my first visit when I had to wait way too long for service. WAY WAY too long to be seen. They get you in a chair and then you JUST SIT AND WAIT. the whole experience was that I was in a vehicle assembly line. the staff were all kind but I think that was a false impression as they must have known of the low quality work that was being done regarding implants and abutments. I am 75 and have always tried to give people/businesses the benefit of the doubt---BUT NOT HERE. read more

If there was a way to put 0 stars I would have. If you want to see a dentist that is run like a factory, where you're being forced procedures that you might not need, this is your place. You walk in and there's rows and rows of chairs set up like a factory. No, hello I'm Dr so and so and here is what is wrong with your tooth/teeth and there are a few options that we have for treatment. I didn't know what was going on or how much longer I would be in that chair, the only direction that I got was from the dental assistant, he essentially explained what the doctor had done and what was next. That is it. I ended up requiring a root canal and a crown. Y'all should see the crown, very poorly made and not attractive at all. My dentist now asked who did it and when I said this place, he said oh that explains it, we've had to correct a lot of their mistakes. My dentist now is amazing, family run, and has communication skills. I will never ever go to a dental office run like a factory business, in and out and the quality isn't up to par. Just had my first treatment here and I can't express how impressed I was. I had a serious infection and two bad teeth compounded by my regular dentist putting me off for months. I went in as an emergency patient and was seen in fifteen minutes then scheduled for treatment. Treatment was the best I ever had. Citrus heights dental has been our saving grace so far! My husband just started going to them. He came home from work with a bad toothache. I gave them a call. They got him in quickly prescribed pain medication and antibiotics. We have personally dealt with disaster dentist. Long waits for work as teeth get worst. Hard time giving necessary medication! Very disappointed in my Consultation today for a 2nd Opinion. I went in very positive and hopeful and was ready to move forward TODAY and start my implant journey. I even called my bank to arrange a transfer of funds. The Russian girl told me they could not give me an estimate without first giving me a cat scan which they would charge me $250! For a consultation! Never before - Highly unusual to be charged for a cat scan! When she learned my insurance would not cover my work (two implants, two extractions) she told me my "rough estimate" would be $20,000 and I needed a specialist. I said, "How could this be? An earlier estimate from another dental office quoted me $4500". She said, "You better go for that then." She didn't want to give me a "written" estimate unless I was interested as she did not want to "put it in her system, unless I was interested". Then she asked me, "Can you understand that?" Rude ! She had such a thick Russian accent I could hardly understand her, especially wearing a mask too. Also, she spoke to me at the front desk window with a glass barrier between us which I found very unprofessional and tacky - not in one of the private offices I saw. Other people in the office as well as the waiting room could hear every word of our tense conversation involving my treatment and what it was going to cost. Yes the dreaded dentist review, lmao i actually have always liked the dentist even as a kid, i have always found it calming(I even do the random nap while sitting and getting my teeth pampered ) the one day were you get your teeth cleaned, flossed, poked, rinsed, xrayed, and even get a little pampered if you get the mouth guard treatment protection, but i think they only do this for kids though, i miss that whole pick a flavor sit back and relax. This is only my second dentist office my whole life. My first was back east and this is my 2nd on the west coast and have been coming here since 2003. So they must be doing a good job. They have really turned this location around. They have expanded the office to 2x the size, a lot more employees and the customer service has gotten way better. They will work with you if you have dental insurance (i know obvious )but if you dont or your insurance has a limit and your money has run amuck and your out, they have options for you to decide, they will give a monthly option, do you reallly need all that work, if not they will do the best they can to help you get your teeth back to them pearly white, the way they should be, and if you haven't been to dentist in the last century and your teeth look like cave men or cave woman, even cave children , then you still have options. One great thing about here, if your already a client and you have new friends or old friends even family but haven't ever been here and you recommend them and they come, you will get $50 smackeroos to tiur account and there's, yes $50 cresit to both of you! just have the mention your name (mine is scott D) :))) sadly i have never used this cause my friends are no were close to here. To end the dreaded review, this dentist has always been good for me, no problems with rescheduling(must give 24 hours unless emergency ), and always been fair with pricing, i have heard many horror stories with friends of other dentists, so i am perfectly fine were i am at. And, like so many others who reported to yelp, I was threatened with collection for an unexplained balance on my account. I have reviewed my statement, found several mistakes, and mailed a letter of explanation to their office today. I included a check for all of the outstanding charges with which I agree. The dentist told me I needed to get a crown for $2,000 and the Dentist I went to for a second opinion said NO WAY! Also the charges were very high even after they apply a "friendly discount". I didn't feel comfortable here as they made me seem like I needed $1000's of work. Even if I did, at least make me feel comfortable about it! This office is extremely well put together and friendly. The working relationships between coworkers creates a nice and relaxed atmosphere. In addition they all know exactly what they're doing. They made the process very simple. As far as the dental procedures go I would say 10/10. Astounding. I would have NEVER expected a root canal and crown fitting to be that simple, painless and easy. Hardly even experienced mild discomfort. I was expecting pain. Doctor Will is a master of his craft who is second to none. If you need a root canal or a crown done you should DEFINITELY see this man.
