This is probably the most unprofessional dentist's office I have ever been to. I go in for am emergency, and they tell me it will take 2 days for help. Then, someone in their office cancelled the appointment!! To make it worse, they didn't even "Adult Up" about it, they had absolutely no feeling of responsibility. Not once did they even offer an explanation as to why one of their assistants did that ! Nothing... Then, during a discussion with their totally unprofessional office manager, all I heard was "we will do our best to find someone for you, but there are no guarantees". Worst experience ever.... Will never go back there! Worst service! After I called them to ask if it was clear for me to come in after a medical procedure I had in March, they said they were no issues in my charts and come on in. I arrived early for an 11 o'clock appointment, waited for over 30 minutes, was brought back into the room for my cleaning, and at that point was shown on my charts and it said I couldn't come in for six months. Such a waste of time! They should've told me that when I called in for the appointment! Such disrespect for my time!!! read more

I like to get taken care of hear but I'm a little weary. So I wasn't told by my 1st dentist that I had problematic areas. then all of a sudden there is a new dentist who tells me I have like 6 cavities. WTF yo! I addressed what happened and that's why he wasn't working there anymore and she took his place. Not being informed would bother any client. I did have that same dentist do a filling for me and she was very smooth about it and quick. very knowledgable, she told me to lay off the granola and it worked! I was lucky to be able to fix those areas (whew) and I love my hygienist Laura. I swear she knows a lot about everything. there isn't any awkward silence. read more

This place is amazing! After not being to a dentist for 15 years, they were all so kind and understanding, and not judgmental at all! I do have a handful of cavities but no one pressured me to get them all filled immediately, like lots of dentists offices do because they just want to bill your insurance! Today I had a deep cleaning which did involve some shots (ouch!) but Donna, the hygienist was AMAZING and not only is she absolutely so sweet, she's incredible at what she does. She works fast and constantly checks in to make sure you're feeling ok. I can't recommend this office more! read more

I love the dentist. I won't go so far as to call it my happy place, but I enjoy a nice trip to the dentist. Clean teeth = happiness. Even though I enjoy the dentist, I have heard horror stories, and finding a new dentist/doctor can be a little daunting. Walerga Dental Group is close to home and close enough to work that it's not a hassle to get there. I have a PPO plan, so they accept my insurance with no problem. When I called to set up my appointment, they were very friendly and they send an e-mail link so I could fill out paperwork before my visit to save time on the first visit. I appreciate small things like that, because it means less time I have to take off of my busy job. On arrival, I had to sign a few more electronic forms - standard doctor's office type forms - and then it was time to get those chompers cleaned! The thing that stood out for me here is that I met with the dentist (Dr. Kaur) in a little office and we discussed my concerns/goals, etc. I don't think I've ever had that happen at a dentist before. It seems like I'm normally just strapped into the treatment chair and away we go! It's nice to be able to talk to the person who is going to be sticking their hands all up in your toofs, if only for a few minutes, before you have fingers and instruments in your mouth preventing a real conversation. My concerns are few: I don't want all my teeth to fall out and I would like my teeth to be clean and fairly white. After conversing with the dentist, I was taken back to get x-rays and then brought to the treatment room. There was a little bit of a delay before I saw the dentist again, but not horrible. I had a magazine to read for those few moments, so I was okay. Dr. Kaur came in and reviewed my x-rays with me and then checked my teeth. Before my cleaning, a benefits coordinator came in and told me what was and wasn't covered by my insurance and how much my out of pocket would be if I had a certain cleaning done. I opted for the fluoride cleaning, paid my small co-pay, and was good to go. On the way out, I made my next appointment for six months down the line. A clean mouth is a happy mouth (that can eat more yummy food). read more

Dr.Kaur always makes sure my smile is perfect and gives a 100%!!!! The entire office staff starting from the super nice receptionist to the detailed dental hygienist,the patient assistants and the professional doctor , are all very accommodating and always helpful. Even with some of the challenges that my teeth have brought Dr. Kaur has always made sure to make my teeth look perfect. I've gotten Teeth cleaning, root canals, crowns, bridges, extractions, fillings,you name it. I am sure it was not easy but I knew I was in the best hands. Employee turnover finally hit this place hard. Stuff is starting to fall through the cracks like trying to charge me for stuff that my insurance should be covering. When an inquiry is made to the insurance co, I find that the procedure has already been billed by WDG. When this is pointed out, I get overwhelmed with practiced apologies. It makes me suspicious. This has happened three times. So either the new Target manager is inept or they are pushing the dishonest button from time to time. I went here for awhile till I tried another dentist. I can let you know they sneak in charges. I got charged 70.00 dollars because the hygienist told me how to take care of my teeth this was in 2015. I called my insurance company and they too thought that it was not necessary and told me to call them and let them know to remove charge. Did they? Of course not and its now 2018. Called twice today different times on 05092018 and both times went to voicemail. My other dentist office picks up the phone each time I call. read more

I have been a patient of Walerga Dental Group for several years and I am extremely happy with their services. I hadn't been to a dentist in several years and therefore needed quite a bit of work. Doctor Kaur presented a plan to address all items based on priority which was a tremendous help both emotionally AND financially. I had a wonderful experience today at this dentist office. I made an appointment last evening for today at 9:15. I arrived on time and the women at the front desk took me right in. I broke a tooth, and they assessed the problem, said they could replace the tooth in my denture and have it back by the end of the day. I agreed and they said it would be done at 4pm. So at 4pm I came back and it was done and ready for me to take. By 4:10 I was on my way home. I realize this was a simple repair. But my point is this. They said what they could do, they said what it would cost, and said when I could come back and get my denture. They did exactly what they said they would do. Honestly you can't say that about a lot businesses today. The people there are simply put the best. I would recommend you give them a chance to help you too. read more

This review is based on 5 visits. I choose this dentist because it was close to home and accepted by my insurance (Delta Care USA). Visit #1: NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT. I was assigned to Dr. Carpenter. We took X-rays with friendly assistant, Abel. He keep my laughing and the time flew by. Afterwards, Dr. C spoke with me about my dental goals, both long term and short. As well as his recommendations and experience. I thought that was pretty cool. Never had a dentist ask me or care. Nice to know who is working on you before they stick their hands all in your mouth. Once we decided on a plan, the benefits coordinator Joe, printed me a copy of the costs associated with each procedure. It was very detailed, showing me the full cost, what was covered by my insurance and what would be my out of pocket expenses. I live on a budget so it was nice to have this to take home with me because I can use it to make a more well informed decision, financially, regarding my dental care. I mean, what good are teeth if you can't afford food to eat, right!? Visit #2: EXTRACTION. Not gonna lie... I was terrified. I have had one tooth pulled before (at another office) and it was a complete night mare (it took about an hour and the dentist there called me a baby). So when I got to the office and found out that Dr. C wouldn't be doing the extraction but instead Dr. Kaiser... I almost puked I was so nervous. I thought it would be just like the last office. But Dr. Kaiser was so amazing! He was sweet, funny, and not to mention... easy on the eyes! But more importantly... he got in there and made my bad tooth his b*tch! No lie...it took about 5 mins and I didn't feel a thing. The shot for the numbing hurt more than the actual pulling of the teeth! Visit #3: DEEP CLEANING...Simple visit. Hygienist was friendly, asked my questions about myself. She read my body language when I was uncomfortable and took a break when I needed. Did a great job cleaning and immediately I could feel the difference. Oh! Also, showed me the proper way to brush and gave me a new tooth brush! (I'm a sucker for free goodies!) Visit #4: ROOT CANAL... I know people dread these, but it wasn't that bad at all. Again, like the extraction, I felt more pain from the needle to numb me than from the actual procedure. It did take WAY longer than I anticipated, but that was because they found a small infection and Dr. C wanted to put some medicine on it and allow it to sit for a while and begin killing the infection. My jaw was sore from being propped open for so long but I really didn't feel anything of the root canal. And Dr. C gave my face a massage to help with the jaw soreness. Lol. Visit #5: CAP FOR ROOT CANAL... Easy peasy. They popped off the temp and placed the new porcelain tooth with no numbing agent needed. The color looks fantastic and blends right in with my other teeth. The bite is perfect and I sometimes forget its not a real tooth! Dr. C did X-rays to be sure all the cement was off the outside of my gums so they wouldn't get irrigated, as well. I did get fussed at for having a carbonated beverage... but that was my fault for waltzing into a dentist office with contraband. Overall I think this is a great dentistry. My only complaint would be that they seem to always be running a little behind. About 10 mins or so. If you're pressed for time with other appointments, this could be an issue, but I usually make my appointments for the end of the day. I'm already recommending them to friends and family. read more

This was the best dental experience I have ever had. The receptionists are very helpful and sweet. I called in this morning to schedule in a last minuet appointment and they were able to take me in. The entire staff was very friendly. Dr. Kaur and Briana took excellent care of me and were professional and fun to talk to. This visit made me excited for my next cleaning. Had a terrible experience with this place. The staff was friendly, but they told me that I have gum disease and need to have my gums cut back and teeth cleaned. I assumed they were telling the truth until I read the reviews. The real kicker here is that they sent me home and said they'll call me, but a week went by and they never called me. I took it upon myself to call them and they were too busy to speak with me. I waited for a call back and it never happened. I called a couple more times, but it's been five months with no call back. Let me start out by saying I have major fear of everything related to teeth! I had a horrible experience about 23 years ago (not here) and had not been back to see a dentist since. I met Dr. Bennett and his team in January. He did a consultation with me in his office before I went back to the procedure space and just breaking the ice like that was very helpful. The dental assistant who did my x-rays had me cracking up, which was also really nice and unexpected. When the exam started Dr. Bennett let me know everything he was doing, why he was doing it and how it would feel *before* he started doing it. I had 5 cavities (not surprising after 23 years without seeing a dentist) and we put together a plan for getting all that work done. I came back twice over the next few weeks to split the work up and that made it a lot less overwhelming for me. I met three of the dental assistants and they were all really nice and seemed to really enjoy working with patients, even crazy frightened ones like me. No one ever chewed me out or made me feel embarrassed or ashamed for avoiding the dentist for so long. I was treated with respect and compassion, definitely not what I was expecting from *any* dental practice. I know the team that's here now weren't here when a lot of the negative reviews were written. My experience was really amazing, especially considering the level of my terror going in. I'm not exactly excited about my 6 month checkup but I know that because of the excellent care I received here I'll be glad to come to a place where I feel safe and I hope to be a patient of Dr. Bennett's for many, many years to come. :) read more

Like the other reviewer, I hate going to the dentist as well, but Walerga Dental Group makes it as painless as possible. Everyone there is friendly and professional, but Jaime and Mike are customer service stars! I lost my insurance last year and they jumped through hoops to work with me financially to make sure I could get the treatment I needed. I also can't say enough about the care I have received from Dr. Trinh. She is down to earth, gentle and immensely undertanding (she tolerates my being a big scaredy cat;) and she treats me like a person, not a patient. Laura is also a fantastic hygienist, who never judges, just makes you want to take better care of your teeth. A good dentist is harder to find than a good mechanic. I've had a similar experience as many others with this Dental Group. I urge you "not" to use this group! They are similar to a bank and a car dealership....their focus is the money and how to squeeze every possible dime possible from your pocketbook. I dealt with them a couple of years back, long story short, they said my teeth were in horrible shape... and they were not in horrible shape and they are not now (years later). I wanted a simple teeth cleaning and they wouldn't proceed until I had the recommended unnecessary work done! I got out of there, quickly! About a year later, a neighbor of mine mentioned that she took both her kids there for the first time (she wanted a closer dentist instead of driving the distance to her regular guy) and lo & behold, she was told what bad shape her kids' teeth were!!! She was shocked as she only wanted a cleaning as well. Needless to say, she hightailed it back to her previous dentist and he is now my regular dentist too! This is a satelite office of a large corporation. I like to say it's like going to the "Kaiser" of dentistry; not especially personal and with a revolving door of dentists so there is no close relationship, some are not but most are superb with the added benefit of young dentists with new teqniques and modern knowledge. On the whole reliable dental care with no nonsense professionals. I would not return to a "family" dentist again because I receive such better care here and their is no skipping steps, I get to maximize my very good dental policy with the very best oral care. LAURA the HYGENIST is beyond fabulous. Every hygenist should be like her, she is one in a million and your mouth is in the best care with this pro. The staff varies, this is where you will remove a star! Some are on top of their game, some on confused, nasty toned or are egocentric and unforunately it is they who lay between you and your provider so weed through the bs and they will eventually help you, just be patient. I suspect they are under unpaid pressure by the corporation. read more

The first time I went to this office was a same day emergency appointment to fix a broken tooth. Yes I was there for a long time, 4 hours, but I was an add on patient and I left with a partial crown totally fixed, no return visit needed. All fees were in writing with all my options outlined. The dentist was kind and listened to my concerns and took them into consideration. All the staff was very nice, and kept checking on me and informed about wait times. read more

So let me start with, I hate going to the Dentist. However now that I have discovered Walerga Dental Group, the overall experience is so much better. From check in to check out, they are a great team of people. You're welcomed into the office, you are seen right away, and they are very efficient through out your appt. I would NEVER RECOMMEND anyone come to this dentist. My husband was a patient here for 2 years from 2011 to early 2013. During this time, the dental office lied to us about periodontal disease causing us to spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket for treatment that was never needed - our current dentist has confirmed this. Furthermore, the biggest bone of contention is crowns that he had put in back in January 2013. This office put in the crowns incorrectly and now our current dentist has advised this has resulted in gaps and additional bone damage underneath the crowns - it has resulted in a need for new replacement crowns. Our and most dental insurance only covers replacement crowns every 5 years; per Walerga Dental's website, crowns last 5-15 years - this is clearly an issue with the original installation or placement of the crowns. I've now called them and I've been given the excuse, their x-rays show the placement was fine, and because the dentist NO LONGER WORKS there they won't help. Furthermore they advised that the crowns were upgraded to some other material - at no charge - so there's NO WARRANTY. Umm what? I don't give a crap about warranty - when we spend $3000 for 2 crowns, we expect them to last at least the promised 5 years, plus this situation is not one of wear and tear, it's improper placement which is now causing significantly more damage and will cost us significantly more $$ out of pocket. This dental office is a joke - now we will be out more $$ out of pocket as well as a dispute process with the dental insurance to try to get this covered. Never go to Walerga Dental Group - this is absolutely ridiculous. We will pursue legal action should they not provide assistance with the new crowns. At this juncture I'm waiting for Karissa to call me back - let's see if she does. This is ridiculous. ALSO - just as an FYI for anyone else who has experienced similar issues with this dentist - you can file a complaint with the California Dental Board - which I have now done as well. 6/21/2016 - Update - the dentist's office has agreed to refund us for both crowns. This was an extremely long and painful process. They initially told me when they agreed to refund, they could not reimburse the insurance as the insurance company refused funds. Why was it that when I contacted my insurance company they advised that was absolutely false and the funds would just need to accompany a letter indicating Walerga Dental was refunding us for the 2 crowns. When I called Walerga back, they said sure we'll refund the insurance. This is absolutely unethical and improper. I'm just happy though they are now doing the right thing by providing reimbursement. They promised we would have resolution (the check to the insurance company and the refund for our out of pocket expenses approved and in our hands) within 10 business days. Now we wait. read more

I would never come here again. They told me and my wife both that we have periodontal disease and needed some sort of laser treatment. Funny that we both had the same issue. Since coming here we have both been to see other Dentist and they assured us that we do NOT have this gum disease. They kept trying to up sell us on stuff that we didnt need. They insisted that we both needed a deep cleaning and that a regular cleaning wasnt good enough. They also wanted to numb us up to do the cleaning (which is an extra cost) but we both refused and made it through the cleaning just fine without it. If I could give "no stars" I would! This place is a poor mans dentist office. They try to up sell on every opportunity and when the service is provided, they don't bill the insurance! I visited them back in October 2015, for a $99.00 charge. Gave my insurance info for the service and do you think they billed my insurance?....NO!!! I just received a collection letter (it's June) from an collection agency for the freakin $99.00, for the service provided in October. Now keep in mind...I can pull the $99.00 out of my butt so it's not the money, it's these people not doing their jobs! After several months of them not billing our insurance we went to the office, though the information was given previously, and they STILL didn't bill the insurance! And now a collection letter!!! Really??!?! So now I'm left to clean up their mess. Only go to these people if you want trouble. BEWARE! read more

New Patience beware... Cons: We were looking for a new dentist for my children (High School-er & Elementary School-er) closer to our house. I tried this dental group for a little over a year. Big mistake! The dentist there change frequently. The Hygienist are not professional and are not well groomed. Along with the receptionist not being very friendly. Everyone of our appointments where reschedule a few days before the actual appointment date by their request. The only services my children had there were X-rays, cleanings and exams. The X-rays service seem to be okay. X-ray equipment were digital. Routine cleaning was very poor. All of the Walegra Dental group routine cleanings only consisted of was a fluoride treatment. They didn't probe their gums for pockets or even floss my children's teeth. Lucky my children have good oral hygiene. Note! I was personally present in the rooms from beginning of services to the end of services. With the exception of their X-rays, I was within safe visual distance. Pros: Dentist were just okay. Front office area had a children's play/waiting room . Adult waiting room included 2 tv's, chairs, water dispenser and computer for 1st time registration or forms that need to be signed. Website had a good flow to it. I wish I could provide everyone a longer detailed review but I just don't have time. With all said, we no longer do business with Walergra Dental Group. I did not feel comfortable with the service provided to my children. We'll continue to look for a new dentist. read more

The office manager only seems to work Wednesday and Friday and no matter how many messages you leave for her she seems to be to busy to respond to your request and the other staff in the office aren't able to print out receipts or email them (they say only the manager can do that, its 2013 really?!? you cant print nor email???), this office might need some training!!!! This place is horrible. My sister got asked out for drinks by the hygienist. She was only 18 at the time. Very unprofessional. The dentist himself is very rude and rough on my teeth.
