We each tried to buy a bottle of wine, but, oops, my ID was with my suitcase in my hotel room. Yes we were from another state visiting for a conference. My friend said she would buy my wine since she had her ID with her (btw we are both over 65). But the clerk explained that she had to ID all parties buying alcohol. Ok. Local rules we will follow if we know them. Now we have been schooled. Several days later we return with all of our IDs in hand. Checking out, the same employee said "and don't come back!" ??? I was strolling around and low and behold... what do you think the NM Donut Kween found!!! You guessed it! Doughnutty socks!!!! Sad thing is they were children sizes but I thought what the heck I'm going to buy them anyway!! I asked the cashier if she had anything else related to Donuts in her shop. She said I don't think so. While i was a little bummed it didnt matter because I was extremely happy with a pair of socks I found! While I was browsing she actually told me she found another pair! Now as you can only imagine I was so so super excited I went a little bit doughnutty!!! Kinda like coco for cocoa puffs! Hahaha!!! I was so super excited I couldn't contain my joy! I proceeded to tell her how I was the Donut Kween on Yelp and that I love everything to do with donuts!!! It was so awesome because she shared a personal story with me about her father-in-law and his donut cologne that he bought way back in the day from Dunkin Donuts apparently they did some sort of advertisement probably 30 years ago! This NEW Marverik has plenty of pumps and a great convenience store plus easy to refuel the rental car before dropping it back to the airport rental car center. Take Exit 222A Gibson Blvd E which is just before the airport heading south on I-25.
