As soon and I walk in the lady nail tech with the short hair heavier set " goes what you looking for " I said sitckers she goes " put your bag in the locker and take the key " never have I been asked I also have a very tiny purse that was zipped closed. Because this business has two separate pages, I thought I might say similar things on this page to let customers how I feel about them! Senly Beauty Center-- formerly known as Senly Nails and Supply. This name change has occurred years ago. But this Yelp still exists for the older name. Over the years this place has grown to be huge with many spa chairs and tons more of supplies. The owners are wonderful and the staff are just as accommodating. They do nails and even waxing! I love getting both done here! They have such a huge supply of products! They are also the largest store for nail products in the state of New Mexico. Bet you didn't know! They have some make up as well as a huge selection of lashes! They sell both to the public and licensed businesses. It just depends on what you get. I don't believe everything can be sold to the public though. Many out of city and nearby states nail shop owners turn to this place to pick up supplies. I've ALWAYS had a great experience here and I will continue coming back! read more

I got a terrific gel pedicure here. This no frills spot was exactly the ticket for my gel pedicure. Gel removal was gentle and thorough. The gel application was perfect. My toes now sparkle like little disco balls because I chose glittery polish. I wish I could wear flip flops to work. AND...two weeks later, my toes still look fabulous. Prices were reasonable. I absolutely love this place. They have so many spa chairs for pedicures and they have many employees. Also, when you're done and you love your nail polish, you can BUY IT! They are a nail supply store also. Their prices are so much lower than places than Sally's, Walmart, Target, and any other beauty store. They have so many types of nailpolishes for all types of budgets. They have nail polishes that are a little over a dollar, OPI, China Glazes, and gel polishes. Seriously, they have rows of nail polishes. Additionally, they sell so many beauty products like wax, nails, hair, make up.. You name it! If you really want to, I remember getting a paraffin treatment on my hands. the Paraffin makes your skin very silky and smooth. I think it's worth if every once in a while-- especially in the winter when your hands are cold and dry from the chilly winds. Basically, if you want to get your nails done, it should be done here. Everyone is friendly and willing to do whatever design you have in mind. they also have every color you can imagine. I cannot emphasize how much I love coming to this shop. Went in to find a new color go for my nails and they the store side was closed since the body Jewelry was on the out side in the service area I asked if it was ok to look at that and one of the Nail tech said go on and look. As soon as I started looking an older lady came and stood by me I thought in case I wanted something from the lock case but see continued to watch every move I made and then yelled " hurry up, what you want?" I was stunned at how rude that was as soon as I looked at her she realized how rude she was and tried to back it up and say something more appropriate but by then I was done I told her I don't want anything I'm leaving. So, I don't really know what I'm gauging this against to give it 4 stars other than my own personal favorable experience. I'm not going to say my ugly old man feet are ugly, (wait I already did!) but when I went in to buy a heavy duty set of nail clippers for my ugly old toes, I was told those didn't exist. The woman suggested I get a pedicure which cost only $22 and I had the time so I did. My pedicure involved power equipment with multiple attachments as well as safety gloves and breathing apparatus for the operator. But it came out okay! read more

This place is great! It's a bit awkward to go in because half the supply store is actually a working nail salon, so while I was perusing the isles there were ladies getting manicures and pedicures... but overall a great selection. The woman I spoke to on the phone said that some of their items like the chemicals and spa chairs are for professionals only with licenses, but she said the nail polishes and accessories can be purchased by anyone. Score! They have a massive selection of China Glaze, OPI, some cheaper brands, and even the famous soak-off gel brand Gelish. If you want to buy Gelish, just ask for the ring of swatches because the Gelish bottles are all behind the counter. The woman at the counter was super friendly and I will definitely be returning again and again. It's so refreshing not to have the employees at these types of places make you feel like they're waisting your time. FYI: Gelish here was about $14 for a full size bottle and the mini bottles (half the size) are about $13 at any Sally Beauty Supply. Ouch! read more

My daughter used to shop there all the time cuz she's learning to do nails she spent a lot of money there I do not recommend this place you know how chinos are they take your money but if you have a problem they don't back it up. She tried to return four items at $5 a piece , and they said no they wouldn't exchange it. It was the powder for the nails three were brand new one had a few little lumps so I left it all on the counter. They will keep you waiting and only tend to you if they feel like it. They kept us waiting for half an hour for a pedicure and still ran after us when we walked out instead of still waiting and forced us to pay and only gave us a 3 dollar discount DESPITE THEM NOT DOING ANYTHING AT ALL TO MY FRIENDS FEET. they are supposedly super busy but yet have time to run after you if they think you should pay even if they don't do anything for you and there's a nail technician cleaning instead of tending to people read more

Someone recommended this place to me. I go to school full time and work part time, so I was looking for a place that was affordable and could do a good job on my nails. Upon entering, I was optimistic - it was very spacious and the display of regular polishes was huge! When I was given the set of gel colors, I was taken aback by the selection being so small because it's a beauty supply store as well, but nonetheless I found a pretty deep purple color. The wait was quick, and seemingly friendly man told me he was the one who was going to do my nails. I wanted a refill, not a new set, and as soon as he started taking off my previous polish, he was extremely rough with how he took of the polish. I had on a nail extension so I could have stilleto nails, but he was so rough he completely broke one off. He told me he could fix it with a gel extension which was fine by me, so I kept the rest instead of opting to get a completely new set. As he went on, he got harsher and harsher with the treatment of my nails and as a result, cut many of my cuticles with the little drills. He told me that doing stilleto nails was going to take awhile, which is normally the case with a new set but I've never been told that before at other salons when it's just a refill since the basic shape is there, but I just nodded and told him it was okay. When he started filing my nails, he filed all down the sides and cut the sides of many of my nails, which as I write this review about 5 hours later, still sting and burn. It got to the point that he started filing on a cut that he had given me with a drill; it hurt so bad that I snatched my hand away as a reaction. I did not like the way he filed my nails at all, even if he hadn't cut me. Many of the tips of the nails were not a true pointed stilleto, but actually had a weird flat tip at the very end. Many of them were crooked. I'm not afraid to ask the technicians to fix them for me if I'm not satisfied - I pay for my nails and I'm going to get exactly what I want. The more I asked him to fix them, the harsher he got with the filing, which irritated the cuts I had been given previously. Even now, after asking him multiple times to fix the ends, they are not all pointed the same - some are duller than others. Finally, he began to paint my nails. The color was super pretty and he put on enough coats that the color was nice and dark. While he painted my nails, I noticed that the nail he had previously broken and fixed with gel was extremely thick compared to the rest of them, and if he could file it from the bottom of it. I know that it's easy to get annoyed at someone constantly correcting you, but if it is a part of your job to give customers what they want, then you shouldn't complain. He then proceeded to reprimend me: he told me that it was my fault for choosing the hardest nail shape to achieve and that had I chosen a square shape, none of cutting or the bad shaping would have happened. Even the lady next to me was surprised by how rude he was about the whole situation. I was taken aback, and told him that I had never had that problem at any salon before. We went back to his station where he filed down the thick nail, and then quickly sent me away. I was so frusterated that I didn't bother to look at my nails in detail right away, and just paid and left. I think the lady who works next to him knew that I wasn't going to tip him, because she just skipped through that option on the card machine. Now that I am looking at my nails in detail I can see that a lot of them are sharper than others, and definitely crooked. The polish on one of my nails is smudged and ruined, which I don't know how that could've happened considering its supposed to be gel. My nails and the cuts on the side still hurt very much. It makes me sad because all the ladies around me had beautiful nails and seemed to have a great time with their technicians, while I am unsatisfied with my nails and treatment. I know I am young but I am still a paying customer and deserve to get what I ask for. Tomorrow I am going to return and request that someone else (definitely not the man) fixes them for no charge. I'll probably tip them if they actually fix them well, but we'll see. I probably will never return after that, and just opt for my usual salon instead. read more

besides the good service I've gotten and really cute acrylic sets, the price is awesome. If there's ever a wait, I just shop for nail polish or fake eyelashes, that are also decently priced. It's big enough to never really wait. I enjoy coming here, more so than the other salons that charge you a million dollars for something simple. Definitely recommend! read more

I came here for a full set and I was disgusted. I have my cosmetology license so I'm fully aware of state sanitation requirements and the woman who did my nails failed miserably. First of all, she didn't sanitize her hands in front of me. A big no-no. Then, she pushed my cuticles back with her fingernails. Another big no-no. She was supposed to use an orangewood stick since it's disposable. Then the worst part was when she nicked my skin and drew blood in 2 spots. She was required to stop my service, put on gloves, treat my wound, then continue my service. Instead. She TOUCHED MY BLOOD! Now I'm a disease-free person, but she didn't know that. For all she knew, I could have AIDS. After that, she used her brush to clean off my bloody fingers AND her workstation! My service was over at this point, so I ran to the sink and scrubbed and disinfected my hands. I was literally sick to my stomach thinking of how many people have been in and out of that place who do have communicable diseases, and they're just in there spreading them around out of pure laziness. State Board needs to pay this place a visit and shut it down. Obviously, I will not return. read more
