This review is for Walgreens photo center! I pretty much get all my photos developed here. I used to get them developed at CVS but they always do a horrible job, cutting peoples heads off, weird black coloring on the borders, etc. Walgreens always gets the job done right. They email you when they are done printing out your pictures and they always ave coupons. The BONUS part about walgreens photos is that they occasionally have their free 8x10 enlargement prints or 8x10 collage prints! Love their freebies! Pluses: There's a drive thru. If you don't have a complicated order (hehe, like a prescription pick up) or a transaction that will last longer than 5 mins., this is for you. Service is fast and friendly Open 24 hours, just in case you need, well, anything really, unless you're jonesing for something really specific. I'm sure they don't have a Cobb salad or red stiletto pumps with 4 inch heels, but then again, I don't know the store's inventory. Because of the two items above, this place has a security guard. For most people, that's a sign of comfort. Of course, that's only part of the store (see below) Minuses: Inconsiderate people that use the drive thru. You know the old saying, when there's a light, there's bound to be bugs. When I come here at peak hours (3-7PM), that's when those people that think they can conduct a 6 hour Russian opera are at the drive thru. Get off your lazy behind and go inside if you think it'll take more than 5 mins or so. Sheesh. This place has a security guard. How's that saying go? If there's a roach motel, that means there's roaches. A security guard means there's a reason why he's there: that's to protect you from unsavory elements or untoward incidents from happening. The presence of a guard may be reassurance, it also means you should be alert and awake as well. You are not in Coto de Caza or Dove Canyon. Verdict: This place is reasonably clean and the service is reasonably friendly and expedient. All the pharmacists that I've encountered in the past 3 years are friendly and have a sense of humor. Imagine that. I'm happy I have this place so I can pick up my refills any time I want. Just don't come here at peak hours (3-7 PM) or you will be behind someone in the drive thru trying to argue the pros and cons of global nuclear disarmament with the pharmacist. So there. read more

I did have a good experience printing pictures.. the first ones came out wrong so the girl worked and made things look good, and then didn't charge me for them! It was great customer service. Although this Walgreens is big, I feel like they don't really have much variety or selection. Also, their employees have ZERO customer service (ECC). I developed pictures today. Rahsan was so helpful and went out of his way to find me a code that gave me 50% my order. I didn't even know about it before he mentioned it. I watched as he was helpful to his coworkers who were also friendly. This review is for my experience with this sorry excuse of a pharmacy. I've had bad experiences with this pharmacy 4 times in a 2 week span. First one happened on 5/26 when I went to pick up my brother's Zithromax medication. On 5/27 I went to pick up his Ethambutol and Rifampin medication. He was only given 10/60 Ethambutol as well. Long story short when we finally opened the Walgreen's pharmacy packaging on 6/1 we realized we we're missing my brother's Zithromax medication and were given double of his Rifampin. I called and explained the situation to a female pharmacist and she told me with her own words to check if the wrong label was placed on one of the Rifampin bottles and advised me to open the seal to check the contents inside. ‍ I did as advised and they were both Rifampin. The pharmacist told me to come on by and they would have my brother's Zithromax prescription ready for pick up. When I get there it's a different story and I was told that we had already picked up the medication and the pharmacist had the nerve to try to argue with me. After exchanging a few choice words I was given my brother's Zithromax medication. Then today 6/5 I went to pick up the remaining portion of my brother's Ethambutol medication. I arrived at the drive through a little before 4:30pm. There was a line of cars and I waited until 5:08pm till it was my turn to be seen at the drive through. When I get there the male pharmacist working at that time told me they were closed. I told him how long i've been waiting in line and one of the Walgreens workers had stopped cars from coming in the drive through 2 cars behind me. He didn't seem to care at all and said that their registers were closed so there was nothing he could do. I told him if they weren't seeing anyone they why in the hell would they have people wait and waste their damn time sitting in line for absolutely no reason if they can't pick up their medication. The line of cars should have been redirected out of line if that was the case. Why have people wait for medication that they need if they can't even get it!!! It's inconsiderate!!! This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My brother was hospitalized for 2 months for a blood transfusion, Pneumonia and heart faliure for christ sakes. You people need to pull your heads out of your asses and learn how to do your jobs. There's people out there who are relying on their medication!!!! read more

This review is for the Pharmacy part of Walgreens on State College. The actual store is always fairly clean, nice employees with well stocked shelves. Prices are pretty high for random household things however that's the premium we pay to get a Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter at 4:30am. :) The pharmacy can be a NIGHTMARE. I pay cash for my substantial amount of rx's each month. The W card does help- it's a good investment if you are a cash paying customer. The RX prices are outrageous when compared to prices at the Costco Pharmacy. The customer service I have received over the past 5-7 years has consistently been substandard. Just today I went to the Walgreens website to determine the per pill price for one of my rx's. I initiated a chat w/ a technician, provided the relevant information and the technician provided me with the cash price of a 30 pill/month rx. I asked again explaining I have a W card and my rx is for 120 pills per month so I needed a per pill price and/or price for 120 pills/mo. The tech again responded w/ the 30 pill per month cash price. The reason I wanted a specific quote and didn't just extrapolate the per pill or 120 pill price is that with the W card there is a percentage discount which changes without notice per the contract) and sometimes I have found if the pharmacy is getting a deal with a new pill manufacturer there is a sort of 'bulk' discount. For example, the W cards discount could be larger today than last month or there could be a percentage discount based on a quantity of 120 pills per month instead of 30. It really annoys me when technicians appear to intentionally not answer my questions and then get n attitude because I should apparently just take the information they give me and figure it out. I pay their salaries and just don't see why I should explain every reason why I want the info to everyone I talk to-o Just answer the question I asked!!!!! I've written to corporate with no response so I usually take my business to Costco. If I can't get to Costco (no online ordering at Costco pharmacy) I am forced to use another pharmacy. Just my $.02. The manager had to drive to my house to drop of the correct medication she was so embarrassed of what happened and offered 10000 points which according to her is $10!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! My main complaint with this Walgreens is the God Awful Pharmacy. Luckily I haven't had the pleasure of meeting the manager or head pharmacist because I'm sure he/she is just as bad, but I digress. I am not RACIST or SEXIST but the only way to describe this individual is by ethnicity and gender. She is an Asian technician working in the pharmacy who is clearly under the impression that her s**t doesn't stink. She is the type of person who gets a thrill from passive aggressive behavior and abusing the miniscule amount of authority she possesses on this planet. Let me just get into her behavior over the one of our precious encounters... 3 months ago I dropped off a prescription, come back an hour later only to find out this individual lost my prescription. She started off by telling me they had misplaced my prescription and it would be just a second. I said sure no worries and began waiting, called my wife to pass the time, no problem. Well that "second" slowly turned into 30 minutes, so I asked her politely what the status was and she proceeded to instruct me to have a seat and I will be called up when it is located. First of all that kind of ticked me off because her tone of voice was very rude and sarcastic and I watched her abandon the hunt to laugh it up with other technicians in the back numerous times. About an hour had gone by, when my patience wore thin. I did the same thing and asked her what the deal is. This time she randomly started talking to me like I was a new born child in a baby tone of voice "like I said sir, we will call you up when we find it." Then I responded "are you patronizing me? Because if you are I need to talk to your manager.." So she throws on this s*** eating grin and says "one moment." The nerve of this woman...She then goes back to talk to her manager and I hear her whisper, "do you think he grabbed it?" Insinuating I was going to try to get my prescription filled twice...She made the mistake and was trying to sliver out of the responsibility. That wasn't the only time I had issues with her. Not saying she is a beautiful person by any means but one would classify her as above average attractive. Despite her outer appearance her personality is condescending and despicable. I can tell she probably manipulates people into getting her way based off her looks but one day she'll get what's coming. I will be going back to this Walgreens soon and I will hunt her down to get her name so I can add it to this review. read more

Wish I could give a zero! This Walgreens is horrible. If your in a hurry don't go. You may have to stand in line behind someone using a coupon and then to find out there coupon doesn't work. The lady making the purchase kept going out side everytime there was a problem because someone else to the bagged items out already and they hadn't even been paid for yet. The pharmacists here are friendly and they're proficient at what they do. It usually takes about 20min to get a new prescription, 30min-45min if its busy. The store itself is well organized, clean, and they just recently installed new floors, so its looking even better now. They have the general commodities one can expect from a drug store: Snack Foods, Vitamins, OTC Meds, Personal Hygiene, and other general purpose stuff. This Walgreens is open 24 hours, but be careful because its located near a rough neighborhood. My younger brother got mugged here a few years back. read more

Went after the movies with some friends around midnight the overnight security guard was rude and disrespectful. He literally followed anyone that just purchased anything out the door. Also a few customers confronted him asking him why was he following them and he was going about to fight them. He made me feel really uncomfortable and I hope I never see him again. read more

I was rung up by Gabriel. He has horrible customer service skills. When my sister and I got to his register, he didn't acknowledge us. I wouldn't have had a problem with it but he was extremely friendly to the white couple before us. We paid for our stuff also, we should've been treated equally as the people ahead of us. We weren't rude, if anything we were nice to him. My sister said hi to him since he couldn't get off his pedestal to say hi to us. Please fire him or train him to be a better employee. I been going there for years cuz I live just down street and there service was very good but lately maybe for the last year they become awful specially the Miss Lucy twice I leave my prescription and she say will call your name when it's ready it takes about 15 minutes so first time I waited more than 40 minutes so I went to ask what's going on and guess what she forgot about my order I said ok and tonight same thing she said 15 minutes I waited 30 minutes so I went to check and it was ready sitting on the side and no one called I was waiting for nothing the most stupid couple who ever worked in that pharmacy but thanks god CVS just down street from me to so I'm taking my business there and you guys go to hell you and your pharmacy. read more

I usually get my meds here. There is a really nice mexican guy that usually helps me at the pharmacy. He has recently grown this system of the down goatee and it looks very odd on him. He always wears a tie and collared shirt but with his long ass beard, he looks odd. Please every tell him to shave it off. I used to always get my polaroid film here, but they have since sold out. On weekends during the summer there is a mexican women selling corn in the parking lot here. In the winter, she sells tamales, yumm! read more
