I think it's important to note how you're treated when buying a sensitive product at a pharmacy and it's also first thing in the morning. You're hoping the store is stocked with the thing you need to make it through the day and that the checkout person is friendly but definitely doesn't mention anything about what you're buying. Have visited this Walgreens more than a handful of times. Clean store. Always polite and friendly customer service in the store and pharmacy. NEVER any problems getting precription filled. Pharmacist Karen even went out of her way to get medicaton that was out of stock at another Walgreens and always makes any concerns you may have a priority. Wait time is very short and prescription processing on time also. Pharmacy Tech, Tarick, was caring, quick, and efficient in handling my recent flu shot walk-in. (Practically handling the pharmacy alone without help). He was quick to greet and keep anyone briefly waiting happy even though it was busy and smiling while doing so; Handled everything effortlessly. Kiddos. I love this Pharmacy. I see some of the negative reviews but i cant tell you how many times I've stood in line waiting patiently while some people in front of me treat the pharmacy techs very badly.In most instances it's because the customer's insurance is declined (not the pharmacy's fault) or the customer's doctor was contacted but failed to respond (again not the pharmacy's fault). The pharmacist tech patiently tries to explain the situation but the customer repeatedly interrupts or engages in rude behavior. All the while the drive thru line and the in-store line grows longer and longer because of one entitled customer throws a tantrum. read more

This is an average Walgreens nothing truly special about it other than it has a drive thru for the pharmacy. It's well stocked and very clean. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. I don't care for the parking situation it's a pain and the parking lot can be fairly busy. However there is plenty of spaces. read more

Walgreens as we all know sucks. The pharmacy especially. I ordered a refill using the app 12/30/22. It was clear I needed my doctor to renew. I gave permission through the app to call the doctor. Then I got a text Walgreens: D's Rx has 0 refills. Reply RENEW & we'll contact your prescriber to refill. I did this also. Then I got: Thank you! 1 Rx will be filled at 1000 E Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Questions? 847-259-4646. This was 01/03/23. Four days later I again got the first text. I went to the drive thru and they said nothing was pending. They said they'd call my doctor. Today, now it's 01/11/23, I go in and they tell me nothing is pending. It's now 12 days, no phone call w status nothing all this time. Add to that Walgreens constant switching generics to save money apparently. Add to that the smirking pharmacist in the background while the poor new hire explains my situation. Add to that my wife waiting a half hour past her scheduled time for a vaccine while someone who had come the day and apparently been turned away was snuck in ahead of her ( wife disabled cannot sit or stand long). I could go on. Most employees are innocent. Pharmacists are arrogant. Time to find a new pharmacy. read more

I went to get a booster shot and had to mark things on the paper. The young women who work here are not very well explained and very unfriendly. And I'm not good at English, but I read and marked it. But they laughed. "Oh my god," she said she is in two places. while doing this She loud laugh from behind and ignores me.she said let it go. I think it's probably because I'm an immigrant. Typical wallgreens pharmacy... get there hours after dr sends rx over. I was present when the nurse called- AND SPOKE with a tech. Upon arrival they said "We never got anything" and waited for me to go away. I sat there and waited for the inevitable double check. Then they said they just got it and I had to wait. Is it a strategy for people to shop in the store? I've used target on Rand and they are so much better! Going there from now on. Not enough employees staffed during after work hours. Also the hours that they open the pharmacy are ridiculous. 8am is when it opens. Lots of people who work need to start work at 8:30am, so this is inconvenient for a lot of working people. Need to better keep in mind the customer and his or her needs. What a joke! 5-8-17. Incompetent staffing. 9-23-2017. One of the drive thru lanes is closed and has a bright orange cone on a SATURDAY! So there are three cars in line and nobody is moving after 5 minutes. 10-9-2017. One lane appears to be permanently closed. One car in front of me and have been sitting still for 10 minutes!! Most rude and condescending people I have ever had to deal with. I had an insurance issue, she said she couldn't find it, charged me over$150 and told me if I can prove insurance within 7 days I might get some of my money back. I went back and the kind pharmacist, different one, told me it was in they and he can't understand what the problem was. Wow. Use a different pharmacy if possible. I just came here for ice cream... it was your typical Walgreens, nothing crazy good or bad about it.

My gf tried picking up her pills from these yahoos. They said it would be ready in an hour. When she returned they said the script hadn't even been scanned in. She returned later as directed and they told her they were out of stock. They said the store on Campbell had it. So she went there, but they were out also. END OF STORY? NOPE! THERES MORE. I dropped off a script for a cream, they said it would be ready in a half hour. Two hours later still not ready. An hour later; guess what? Yup, they are out of stock! GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Service can be either very good or very, very bad depending on who is working the counter. I recently got a phone call on my father-in-laws phone. I saw it was from Walgreens, so I answered the automated call. It called to say my prescription was in. They have been calling me on that number for several years now. I have asked them to fix this problem more than 8 or 10 times. I drove up to the drive in window and was told only one prescription was there ( the second one, not the one that the call was referring too ) After being told " no, you're wrong, there's no other prescription here for you" I left to go to an appointment. The next day the manager was working the counter. I told him I think I'm here to pick up a prescription but I've been told it's not here. Your automated calling device said it was, your pharmacist says it's not. Additionally it called the wrong number, again. I live with my 96 year old father in law. He moved all of his prescriptions away from you 5 or 6 years ago due to too many mistakes getting them filled. I was told my father in laws prescription was in, he can come and get it. That's when I told them I run all errands for the 96 year old man and I'm not on my way home, he gave up his car over 10 years ago. Should he ride my motorcycle to come and pick it up? If he uses the drive through can someone help him with the kickstand ? It weighs over 800 pounds and he may have problems with the weight and leaning it over. If you can't help him putting down the kickstand, could someone help him after he comes in to get the prescription could someone help him bring it back up to centerline balance. With three people looking at the database someone noticed my wife also has her prescriptions filled at that store. They told me to have my wife come and pick up his prescription. Pharmacy could use more help, but is it really there fault when customers expect their prescriptions right away when they might be 5th or 10th in line. Not only is the pharmacy trying to fill new prescriptions, but also refill older one. They contact my physician for me when my prescription has run out of refills. The only good thing about this Walgreens is its convenience and proximity to my house when I'm really in need of something quick. However, I try my best to not go to this Walgreens. The pharmacy always takes forever no matter if you're dropping off or picking up. The manager and some of the employees at this location are friendly, however there is one employee in particular that is extremely unfriendly. I hope that the manager of this store will continue to hire qualified and trained professionals who do not put paying customers down. Additionally, I recently was in the store and asked if they would price match an item from Walgreens.com. The item I purchased in store was $2.00 more to that they declined. Large stores like Target and Walmart all price match in order to compete but also get the sale at their store. This Walgreens does not price match and many of their items are extremely price inflated. Save your time and go to Target on Rand! read more

I'm a little horrified that this lady works as a pharmacist who's job is to try and help people. I went out of town and forgot my antibiotics so I called and asked for a courtesy three pills. I asked the pharmacist to tell me how to go about getting the pills. She was so rude and kept telling me that if she wanted to give me the pills she can at her discretion. But she didn't want to. She said that my case wasn't life or death and that it was too much work to call the other pharmacy to get a label to put on the prescription bottle. Not really sure why she couldn't print from her store but wasn't my place to ask the details. I stayed on the phone for 10 minutes asking nicely why she won't consider this as a courtesy??! She finally said because of my persistence that she will do it but now it's her discretion if she wants to charge me or give them for free??!!! I didn't ask her to do any favors but now I had to listen to her tell me her options of whether or not she feels like charging me for them. She said since they're not expensive she won't. So meaning that if they were expensive she would want me to pay for them like they come out of her salary. I just can't understand why she was torturing me just to get an anabiotic?
