We've been happy with our treatment and stylist, but a friend recently switched to Jasmine and said the results were better than ever. My daughter had 2 days home between summer adventures so I figured it was worth trying Jasmine. She was booked when I reached out, but then the week of let me know she had a cancellation and could take her - whoo hoo! The entire process took 4.5 hours, which is long, but crazy enough less than the 5+ hours we usually spend doing this treatment. Jasmine herself was was super friendly and confident that my daughters hair would be better than ever with this treatment. I was hopeful, but skeptical. She got to work right away with a few assistants helping with the process. When I picked up my daughter I was shocked how straight and smooth her hair was after just running a blow dryer thru it for a few minutes. My daughter was thrilled, although she hoped it would be a little wavy after braids since she doesn't like it perfectly straight. She took off for camp the next day, but the only letter I've gotten in the mail is (no joke) "my hair is totally straight." And based on the camp pictures I've been amazed by how well it took to her hair. It looks a little wavy at the ends and I'm guessing she's likely sleeping in braids to get it to curl a bit. We usually have to do this treatment every 5 months. Jasmine thought every 6-12 months, but our roots grow in so curly that I'd be shocked if we could go that long. I'm also interested in trying Jasmine for the magic sleek, but she thought other treatments would be better for my blonde (highlighted) hair like the keratin express. It's tough to please a 13 year old when it comes to hair (and other things), but I think Jasmine did it!

Unprofessional and dangerous place to get your lashes done. PLEASE beware before coming here…read more tldr: ended up with a chemical burn on both of my eyes, they offered me a "complimentary touch up" as an apology I booked to get a full set of lashes. Appointment was at 1, they called and woke me up to ask if they could push it back to 2pm. Told them that was fine. I showed up on time, my tech was late and really didn't get started until 2:30pm - 45pm. I had maybe 3 - 5 lashes to remove from my last set (last set was done in early june) and we started with that. This is when the burn happened. My right eye was absolutely searing, I flinched and she told me to open and then all of the glue went into my eyes. The tech walked me to the bathroom to wash my eyes out. The pain felt like I was being blinded, like someone had thrown acid into my eyes (essentially what happened). After I had recovered enough, I returned to the table. My eyes continued to water throughout the set, which my stylist was obviously annoyed by it. I told her I couldn't control it, and she made me sit up and have a fan blow on my face to try to get my eyes to stop tearing. After four hours, my top lashes were finally done. They asked if I wanted the bottom ones done too and I said sure, and I wish I hadn't. They were too long and all the same length, so I just looked like a raggedy-ann doll. Finally came time to pay, they charged me $50 to remove the few lashes I had and another $50 for the bottom lashes. I want to emphasize how few lashes I had left on from my early june set lol, I do not think it was fair to charge me the full $50. I expected to pay around $200 and ended up paying $300. I tipped 18%. I would normally tip more, but considering the delays, the annoyance with my eyes watering and the burn itself, I didn't feel inclined to tip more. After I left, my eyes continued to water and burn to the point where I had to pull over because I couldn't see. It was like whenever I would blink I would reintroduce the acid into my eyes and deal with the tearing and pain again. I am a nurse, and my coworkers encouraged me to go to the ER and get my eyes lavaged because they were concerned about a chemical burn. I had my sister pick me up and had to leave my car on a random street in Wheeling. She took me to the ER and where the doctor performed a test on my eyes to check for acid and confirmed I did have a chemical burn on both of my eyes. They lavaged my eyes for a few hours using a morgans lens. The lavage process was also painful, even though they numbed my eyes. I'd rather deal with that pain than lose my vision, so I dealt with it. Almost all of the bottom lashes were washed away (which I was fine with, they were hideous) but the top ones stayed on surprisingly well considering what they had to do to my eyes. I went home on antibiotics and a rinsing solution with orders to not to return to work until next week and protect my eyes from the sun/other harsh sources of light to prevent further injury. At the urging of my sister, I messaged the studio the next day asking for a refund to try to recoup some of the cost of the ER visit. They asked for proof of the ER visit, which I provided and will include in this review, and a photo of my eyes. I'll include their response here, but they refused to give me a refund and sent me their policy. Despite the diagnosis on my ER paperwork, they said they couldn't prove I had an injury. I have been getting my lashes done for years at this point and have never had an experience like this. Even when a learning tech was practicing on me, I didn't experience this level of pain and injury. Not to mention the costs I will eventually have to pay for the ER visit. I am also missing a week of work because of this. In summary, going to this lash studio is not worth potentially losing your vision from a chemical burn. I don't even wanna know the ultimate financial cost of this, considering I won't be working and I haven't received my bill from the ER yet.
