I was getting a regular medication at this pharmacy for my dog who was being treated for a digestion disease, about $60. A refill was taking longer than usual - I got on the phone with a pharmacist who explained it was out of stock nearby & I'd have it soon, but then also told me I should consider putting my dog down because the medication was expensive. I was confused because the medication was usually $60, I had pet insurance, and also that's my business?? I finally get the medication and it's 5x the price, $300. They insisted it was the right medicine though, & as I really needed it since it was already days behind, I purchased it. IT WAS THE WRONG MEDICINE, TEN TIMES THE DOSE MY DOG NEEDED, SHE COULD'VE OVERDOSED AND SHE DID HAVE A SERIOUS ISSUE BECAUSE OF THIS. The pharmacist who said I should put my dog down inputted an extra zero when ordering the prescription (so instead of 10x it was 100x). When I went to ask them to fix this, I also asked to speak to who I spoke to over the phone & they refused to bring him out or tell me who it was. I then had to drive across town to another Walgreens to get the medication. I also found out I could've had it days sooner had the pharmacist read the prescription correctly & directed me to this second location. It's been a year and I've never gone back for ANY medication - not mine or any family members because their lack of professionalism and empathy was beyond me. They will pick the phone up and slam it back down 5 times instead of seeing if you just have a fast request. Horrendous customer service. I call this morning because I'm tired of having to try to "fix" my prescription EVERY month for birth control. Unfortunately my doctor writes the script as 84 pills x 4 refills instead of 28 x 12 - so that would be 3 refills filled every three months instead of every single month. Well, even more unfortunate is that nobody at this branch can do MATH since I was told by the obnoxious mansplaining dude on the other end of the phone that that prescription ran out. Please tell me if it was written in may, and I'm only given 28 pills a month NOT 84, then it shouldn't have run out!! that means they're shorting me 2 refills every time. That's why it ran out. Hi. To the CEO of the Corporation. on 09/15/24 I when to the store located on 18665 Biscayne Blvd Aventura FL 33160. I been a customer since 2018. and now I am part of the mywalgreens plan, so what it means I am very fecundly customer. that day I was shop some Ities as usual , one it was a Nivea cream I saw it was discount. $10 us but when I went to pay. it was regular price. Supposedly the manager on duty made reference in an inappropriate tone that the offer was only with Walgreens points, which I returned. Thinking that they were going to return it to my mywalgress card. They gave me a credit for the store, which I asked again to the person who was serving me, who did not answer absolutely anything, and let the "magnifier" answer. I want to report her. I do not have her name because she did not have it exposed like the other employees, apart from that she was eating at the same time that she was arguing with me. THEY SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS TYPE OF SHARING FROM A MANAGER. You can review the cameras from that day. and I hope that they give a resolution to this complaint. which I will put on all social platforms. This pharmacy should be sued! I have a chemical burn in my eye, a chemical burn, an urgent matter... the urgent care had to send the eye drop prescription here because it was the only pharmacy open after 9pm. We waited an hour until they closed for them to "receive" the prescription request they claimed they never got it. Now the next day, again claiming they never got the requests called the urgent care in their system they confirmed this pharmacy not only received it but accepted the prescriptions! After having to go on strike saying I will not leave until this order is filled, they finally fill it hours later but are out of the antibiotic prescription. The stupid nurse tried to tell me the one they did have was the antibiotic. It's a good thing I can read and she can't. Did anyone call or text me to tell me they don't have the most important one, no! So now day two with no drops. Tomorrow I can go to my normal pharmacy CVS, and get the prescription moved and actually filled. Walgreens is always the worst, but I had no choice since the only reason it was sent here was because I needed them same day! It's been two days! I hope my eye is now permanently damaged from this malpractice of a pharmacy so that this Walgreens has to pay out my damages! read more

This Walgreens has a very nice staff overall but I'd say my favorite part of this store is the pharmacy. They are always well stocked with medications and the pharmacy staff is great. I want to especially give recognition to Monica. She helped me over the phone with some questions and issues I had with a certain prescription and she was so kind and caring . It's remarkable how bad this pharmacy branch is, both as a patient and as a medical provider. If you need to call in a prescription, be prepared to be on hold for over an hour, at which point the phone conveniently hangs up. Then you're forced to leave it as a voicemail but have 50/50 shot filling your prescription. It's astonishing they're still in buisness. The patient experience is even worse. They make up their own rules for their own convenience and they mask it as if it's the law. Unfortunately for them I too work in the industry and know the rules quite well. read more

Been a customer for 20 years in 3 states. WORST Walgreens location in the entire country. Earlier this year the pharmacist did me a "favor" by filling my pain med script after forcing me to produce a utility bill to prove that this location was nearest to my home, and this was followed by a threat that if I don't update my address on my drivers license he will "block" me (whatever that means). Then today I went in to the same location by accident, since I usually drive totally out of my way to avoid THIS location. Refilling a drug I have been taking for nearly 20 years (always with Walgreens) and of course it has to be problematic. Assistant "pharmacist" with a bad attitude (like all of them at this depressing branch) had me wait for 15 minutes while he does makes calls, then turns back to me and says he needs to further verify and I need to come back -And why? Because this script came from a new doctor. Just got a call from the woman pharmacist denying my medication. She is dictating to me what it is prescribed for and that the new doctor (M.D.) doesn't "qualify" to prescribe me this drug. When I explained how this drug works and it can be prescribed for a number of issues she barked her interruption at me, and hung up. So I went back to get my script and the pharmacist THREW my drivers license and my script at me. Disgusting people. I went and filled it at another location and it took 10 minutes, no phone calls, no verify. It is very clearly THIS BRANCH that is the sh stain on the Walgreens brand. While many failed doctors-turned-pharmacists out there that like to believe they are M.D.'s they are forgetting that they are nothing more than bean counters for the real doctors. I am sick and tired of this pharmacy and it's staff pretending like I am a criminal or like it is their job to interfere with my private doctor-patient relationship. First time ever someone offered to change the ZIP Code on my account wow. I have moved a few times and no one ever offered to change my ZIP Code for me. That was so nice it has been a mission to try to remember which ZIP Code I had a Las Vegas a few years ago. Thank you Alicia for being the first one after I don't know how many years offered to change my ZIP Code. It Didn't take long at all we got it done and now I can't use my bonus points more efficient. I hope the manager and the area manager and District manager and president of the company sees this because after so many visits to Walgreens no one did this simple task for me. One star is just such a generous review. I had gone under a dental procedure and needed over 4 prescribed drugs. Had my prescriptions (as well as my insurance card) dropped off at 7:00pm and was told to come back at 9pm to pick them up. Once I arrive at 9:15 I am told there was an issue with the insurance previously provided and that now that they have the correct one, it would take another 30min. Note: it was the same exact insurance card. Now not only I have to be in literal pain for another 30min, I would also have never been able to pick it up in time because of THEIR mistake. If insurance hadn't gone through, why wouldn't I have received a call before? I was then told "so what do you want me to do?" Instead of a simple "I apologize". Poor poor poor staff. Disgusting. They are constantly backed up and do not have the system streamlined so you can be in line waiting for a long time and they attend to the next person that just decides to pop into the window. If I could give ZERO stars I would! My original Walgreens pharmacy was out to stock on the prescribed flu medication. They notified me that they were trying to call this store in Aventura and after being on hold for over 30 minutes, my original Walgreens store still was unable to get ahold of them. I drove to this Walgreens to see if they had the medication in stock. To my surprise, there were three pharmacists behind the pharmacy counter letting the phones ring over and over and over again. When I explained that I am running around looking for this prescribed medication, I was given an attitude by the male pharmacist. He told me it wasn't a smart idea for me to be on the phone since I was there. I was shocked at his nasty attitude. After speaking with the store manager Carlos, he explained that the store was short staff, yet there were easily over 15 employees all throughout the store with not one individual tending to phones. The manager Carlos told me he was short staffed and was unable to answer any phone calls. Sick people should not have to go through this... stay away from this store!!!! I went there to pick up medicine already ordered by my pediatrician: they told me that it was not ready and I had to wait 15minutes. Since I had to leave, I went back in two hours and guess what? So I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 since they are open 24 hours. Other than that there isn't much else good to say. They are notoriously understaffed and it doesn't help that most of their customers are cranky impatient Aventura residents. The Aventura effect (which is not Walgreen's fault) also has a tendency to make parking frustrating too since a lot of these people feel like they can just park their car anywhere as long as someone is in the passenger seat. Their prices are on par with every other Walgreens being consistently overpriced. I do enjoy being able to pay the few extra bucks if I wake up sick at 3am and need something like NyQuil to help me get back to sleep. read more

To review a big corporate entity like Walgreens, you must take into consideration that they are exactly that...Big corporate conglomerates who will bleed Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class dry and eat your firstborn child. Seriously, I'm not anti-capatailist or anything like that but if given the choice between Walgreens and Pop's Drug Store, I will go to Pop's every single time without hesitation...even if it's out of my way. With that being said, this particular Walgreens is really nice...at least nicer than 90% of the Walgreens I've visited and probably the nicest in all of south Florida. The place is always clean, well stocked and the customer service is above average for a business in the 305...especially in Aven-torture! My place, Pop's, doesn't stay open 24/7 so this Walgreens does come in handy for me at 3am sometimes. Tip: If you want to see some funny shiz'nit, you can only do this once a year. Every February 14th between the hours of 9pm - midnight, watch scores of douchebag men literally RUN into this store to buy their significant other a crappy Valentines Day gift, which obviously they had forgotten or else they wouldn't be getting it at Walgreens to begin with. I've shared many a laugh on that day and sit back and wonder if these poor significant others back at home realize just how cheap their man is!
