I tried to pick up a prescription at the one near the St. Luke's (San Jacinto Hospital) on Garth and Birdsong. My son and I found the employees slow, few in number, and unfriendly. We walked out. Next, I went to the one on N. Alexander Dr and Ward Rd. My first few times, there were many "pan-handlers". I found it depended on the time of day. It felt unsafe. That was resolved. Then I went to pick up a prescription after they called and said it was ready. 1) I waited a long time in line, only to be told it was still being processed. I was instructed to return after 2 pm. 2) It wasn't ready then, either. 3) I went back two days later to give them time to fill it. They said it had not been filled yet!! I drove away, and called the Walgreens on Garth near the Cracker Barrel. They said my meds would be transferred and ready in two days. Now I'm without meds 7 days, but when I went to get them they were ready!!! The service was friendly and professional. It's the furthest from my house, but worth the drive!!!! I hope this pharmacy will be worthy of my business like the one that was closed just blocks from my house who served me well from 1997-2025.

With the computerized service they use I feel quite sure they know exactly how many patients are on this medication. Had not been delivered by 8 pm so I called. "Out for delivery" means "we have prepared the label for USPS pickup which will be tomorrow and maybe your prescription will be at your home in two to three days." My package was sent to another town's post office (1), to big city distribution center (2), back to 1 back to my town's post office, back to 1, back to 2, back to 1 and, finally and for the third time, back to my town's post office. Delivery was 11 days after order for next day delivery had been placed. The only problem I've ever had with this pharmacy, but folks who use it need to know it's better to put on your walking shoes and go yourself - you'll get your medicine 10 days sooner.

We arrived at the drive-thru recently to pick up a prescription for our daughter, and we were greeted by Valerie. Since it's that time of year when medical plans roll over, she initially thought that the script wasn't covered. We let her know that it was in fact covered, and she very politely asked us to hold tight while she did some research. Long story short, she handled everything, and we drove away with a prescription that was covered by insurance. Insurance companies are the epitome of evil with their ever-changing coverage allowances. We pay exorbitant premiums, and then they decide to not cover something because it would affect their bottom line. But I digress. When it comes to prescriptions, this store is one of the better ones within 2-3 local zip codes. And a special shout-out to Valerie. She's an outstanding ambassador.
