Mostly, it's the people. They are a very friendly group, as a rule, some of them quite delightfully so. The pharmacists are thoughtful and easy-going -- no rush if they have to explain your prescriptions -- and the employees tend to be uncommonly pleasant to deal with. You can occasionally find some bargains here (they regularly put bottled water on deep reductions), and even some snack food items show up with a good price. It may not be the best ever -- is anything? -- but we have found over the last couple of years that this Walgreens is a good community member. We like 'em and recommend 'em.

I choose to shop there instead of rite-aid or Walgreens, in order to support small local businesses. But the petty attitude and unfriendliness of the man at the cash registers makes me not really want to support this business. I hate to see giant corporations take over everything, but I have a hard time spending money to support a business that has staff that is unwilling to help with the smallest request. I was not there at a particularly busy time, in fact I was the only customer in the store when this petty but unpleasant transaction took place. Next time I'll probably go to Walgreens for any OTC medications.
