Beware. I paid for my daughter to have her highlighted roots touched up and the stylist Charlie outright lied to her and misrepresented her experience,claiming to have 5 years when in fact she was a recent graduate. She not only didn't do as she requested, but did additional and completely different color style. Turned her hair orange on top of it. She gave her one try to fix it while she was putting color or bleach on it she said she hoped her hair wouldn't turn green! My daughter had to go somewhere else at this point. Turned out it was Charlie's school instructor! That's how we found out she just graduated and lied about her experience. The store mgrs were so condescending to my daughter when she requested a refund and they refused, even though she gave Charlie an opportunity to fix it(made it worse) and she had to seek someone else to repair and fix it. Awful service and management. So much for customer satisfaction!! read more

You can't just walk around a store to look anymore without being approached multiple times and watched from feet away. The last few times I've been in here I've been followed, and trust me I understand why they do it, but I can't enjoy my shopping in here anymore. I've never stolen anything & I'm tired of the stereotypes "if you're not done up you must be a thief". I won't be taking my business here anymore, it's so tiring being uncomfortable in public. read more

There is no room for improvement. One can only hope that at least this location for Ulta fails. I've never met ruder people, or should I say children, in my life. Dealing with the cry baby behind the register who swore and walked off was bad enough, but the so-called manager was no better. Find a better place to spend your money. read more

I made a last minute decision to go into Ulta, im super uneducated in all things makeup and the store had so much to offer that it was a bit overwhelming. I spoke with a woman working named Nicole and she immediately relieved me from the anxiety i was feeling. She gave me so many recommendations all budget friendly and was so kind and thorough with teaching me how to use the products. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and smart. I'm so thankful i had such a positive experience and i'm hopeful i'll have another run in with Nicole in the future at my next Ulta visit. read more

Was not super happy with my experience here. Made an appointment for my hair to be styled and the manager was standing there talking to her employees about something not work related and didn't check on me waiting there for 5 minutes. This ULTA is okay. They seem to have most things in stock, so there are no complaints there. I think my only real disappointment with this ULTA is the staff. They seem not very knowledgeable about their products or policies. If you ask a different employee you get a different answer on points policies and products. There is a guy there, who I think may be the manager, that is very cheery and offers help if he sees you looking around. Everyone else has a vibe that they hate their jobs and they hate being there and could care less if you walk out of the store buying anything. read more

Ulta is one of my favorite stores, the only complaint I have is sometimes the staff aren't so friendly and knowledgeable about the products.

I go into Ulta frequently. I have found that the majority of staff is very friendly and helpful. Kaytee who works at the Brow Bar does and amazing job! My eyebrows have never looked so good. My one complaint would be about another Brow Bar employee, Alison. She is very whiney and rude. I tried to make an appointment with Kaytee one day and Alison told me I did not need to make an appointment with Kaytee she would do my eyebrows. I thanked her very much but I preferred to wait for Kaytee. She proceeded to complain to the woman she was working on that "some people don't seem to realize that I am just as good if not better than Kaytee" Her customer looked horrified and kept looking at me. If you're looking for a place to get your eyebrows done in the Keene/Monadnock area, look no further as the Benefit Brow Bar at this ULTA location is fantastic. I have been "shopping" for a new place to get my eyebrows waxed for a few months now, so I spontaneously scheduled an appointment with Kaytee based on the prior review submitted below on February 4th, 2016. Well, I am so glad I did because Kaytee is an absolutely AMAZING Arch Expert and my eyebrows have never looked better! She was very thorough and detailed in her work, plus she was very personable and enjoyable to chat with. It all made for a fun and enjoyable appointment. Needless to say, Kaytee will certainly be my new go-to Arch Expert for the foreseeable future. She should be yours too. :) read more

The girls in the salon are absolutely fabulous! I can't recommend them enough. And if you need your eyebrows down Katey at the benefit brow bar is the best around! The entire staff is always extremely professional, helpful and friendly. Hands down one of my favorite places to go!! read more

The only reason I'm giving the store two stars is because they have a very large selection of makeup. No problem there. The employees were totally rude and snobby. I was asked when I walked in if I would like an eyebrow mapping. It was free and so I did it; however, the employee who was doing the eyebrow mapping seems to have quite a bit of trouble with make up, especially her own, because it was smeared and had run all over her face. The mapping looked terrible and when she asked if I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed I declined. Up until that point she had been quite friendly, but once I said no she instantly became disinterested and did not say one more word to me. The employees at the checkout counter were no nicer. I felt like I was on the Saturday night live skit with Jimmy Fallon where he plays a ridiculously snobby employee at a clothing store. The only reason I went in the first place was because I had a coupon. I will never go back. I hope that the management reads this and takes notes that their employees need to get off their high horse and realize they are not better than anyone else. read more

It's got a very large selection of products ranging from very inexpensive to high-end, and tons of stuff I can't get back home, that part is pretty nice. The associates left me alone when I stated that I knew what I wanted and were quite friendly and knowledgeable when I did ask for help, also good. The atmosphere is very odd though, many of the associates seemed to be walking on eggshells. I'm guessing it has something to do with the management as the woman who I assumed to be the manager, (short, heavier set woman with short hair), has always seemed to talk in a very condescending way to the associates when I have been in, almost like they're stupid/useless. The associate ringing up my purchase made the most minuscule, easy-to-fix-mistake and the manager "joked" she was forgetting everything and glared at the associate as she left the register area. Personally that has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, I'll still go in to get stuff, but I'll be sure to do it as quickly as I can so I don't have to hear the manager be patronizing towards the employees. read more

I was visiting with my boyfriend's family in NH and desperately needed a hair cut. I searched Yelp and settled on a salon to call, unfortunately they couldn't fit me in. We went to Target and thought that ULTA might have a salon. I went to the salon part and found that Kate could fit me in. Kate was wonderful, I was taking off quite a bit of hair (maybe six inches) but she made me comfortable and didn't take off more then I was ready for. She discussed the pros and cons of bangs and let me decide what was best. Some hairstylists have an ego about what's best but she was wonderful making sure I was comfortable with what I was having done! I even liked how she dried and styled my hair (which I generally hate how other people style my hair). I can't speak for her color as I just had a cut and blow dry but she was great! If I'm in the area again soon I'll make sure to stop by and get another cut. read more

I love ulta as a store and the products they carry but their employees are just strange! I don't know how else to put it but they are condescending, rude and kind of bossy when choosing your product. They have ruined the store for me. If I do go back I will avoid them like the plague. I work with clients and have heard the same thing about the store from multiple people. Plus I met a girl with horrible burns on her eyebrows and guess where she got them waxed!? Ulta. Their 'eyebrow mapping" is purely a marketing scheme. Cosmetologist are taught how to map eyebrows so don't pay $20 for that. Which is an outrageous price, by the way. read more
