Walgreens is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Their labor shortage is not a result of being unable to find qualified employees but another way to reap profits from their dwindling customer base. On numerous occasions I have gone to get a prescription only to find a note on the door that they were closed for various reasons; i.e. staff meeting. What business closes for lunch? Drive through is never open and if it is the wait is well over 30-mins. Get a text that my prescription is ready, go to pick it up and told it will be 30-45 min. Why did I get the text? Unfortunately my insurance is not accepted at Drug Mart or I would never use Walgreens again. I have transferred most of my prescriptions to Express Scripts, a bit more expensive but 100% more reliable. If you have a choice don't use Walgreens. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Walgreens didn't get my prescriptions ready in time and now I'm without my necessary medication and getting side effects. I asked them to send my Rx to a different pharmacy, but they are taking their sweet time. They have also lost prescriptions my doctor sent electronically and marked a brand new prescription as a refill. They also have an employee who gossips to customers about another tech. This Walgreens is absolutely ridiculous! They purposely do not answer their phone, they will leave you on hold while they pack up & go home. They never have the medication I need & only dispense 5 days worth of meds then they won't fill the rest of my prescription. It's ongoing! They can do better but won't! We should all stop using this pharmacy because they think they can get away with treating us like this. I'm 100% disgusted with Walgreens as a whole because of how rotten their care is. Also, I've had other pharmacies fax Walgreens to send my prescription over but Walgreens staff ignores the fax so I'm stuck with them until I can get my doctors to fill some place else. Called them twice to get an out of state prescription transferred. After getting told twice my Pharmacy in Houston would need to call them to initiate the transfer, when it's actually the other way around, they finally assured me they would expedite my transfer and would have it ready in a couple hours instead of the 24 hour normal wait time. I arrived there a couple hours later and the gentleman at the counter while polite was very condescending. Immediately showing me the screen and telling me there's nothing in their system. I asked if they could call my Pharmacy again and initiate the transfer and was told to call my doctor and have him send the request for the prescription. He also told me that Kroger Pharmacy, my home Pharmacy wasn't accepted by Walgreens. Obviously he didn't listen to their voice recording that clearly says Kroger's is accepted. I'm giving them such a low rating because I felt he was trying to brush me off instead of help. I contacted Safeway earlier today and told them about my transfer and with in a couple hours I was picking it up. No brush off, no call your doctor, no your not in our system, no we don't accepted Krogers. So Walgreens, plz get a better system for transferring prescriptions and train your staff better on how to make this process more about the customer and less about making it easier for them. read more

Pharmacy unexpectedly closed all weekend glad I wasn't out of my meds. Went there today (Monday) at least the pharmacy was open but drive through was closed AGAIN. For people that are mobility challenged and need drive throughs to be operating AS ADVERTISED this is not good. Walgreens needs to lose their pharmaceutical certification! I still get my prescriptions here and will continue to do so. Yes, the wait is long. Yes, the staff is short. But they're doing their best. Order your prescriptions ahead of time if you can. That helps greatly for me. Prepare to stand in line for an hour. Download a show on your phone and relax. Or for goodness sake, check with your insurance and see if you have a 'mailing' option for your prescriptions! You won't have to leave your house. I wish I had better things to say, but after my experience today, I switched pharmacies. All of what I'm about to say has COVID, healthcare workers, and staffing in mind and STILL I can't find compassion for this place. First, staffing issues aside, multiple pharmacy staff have an attitude every time I'm there. I don't need someone super chipper, but at least *try* to conceal your contempt for your job. My scheduled Covid vaccine was delayed by 90 minutes and the pharmacy double booked patients despite not having the staff. There was literally no order to who was going first or checking in. The check in process was not stream lined whatsoever. I accidentally made a mistake on my paperwork and the pharmacy employee loudly called to her coworker "I need another form since this girl can't follow instructions!" I've had multiple Rx delayed here. Thankfully I live in the neighborhood so i can come back but it'd be a big convenience if I didn't. The line has been 20-30 minute wait time every time for the last 6+ months. Then, today, I hit my limit. The line had 15 or more people who had been waiting patiently and the employees would just disappear to the back for minutes at a time with no explanation. Then, multiple random people cut in line and the pharmacy employees said NOTHING. One woman cut and wanted to check out with a full basket. Sick of saying nothing, and I am usually an introverted and chill person, I spoke up and asked if she really needed to be checking out and cutting ahead of all these other people. I wasn't making an outburst, but was told to "Calm down" by Kelly and was treated like I was in hysterics and then NO ONE even acknowledged what just happened or apologized for the wait. I literally called my doctors office in the parking lot so I could change pharmacies. This place is ridiculous. read more

Pharmacy is ALWAYS understaffed and disorganized. You can possibly, and more than likely will, wait in line in store for 45 mins to an hour. Only one person handling the counter everytime I am in and the line is always wrapped around the corner aisles. NO sense of urgency by staff to get folks moving quickly. Dropped off a prescription for pain meds after minor surgery. Told they'd get right on it and it would be 30 minutes. 90 minutes later in store...no meds. The service at this Walgreens pharmacy is very inconsistent. I'd say that 80% of the time I have a normal experience, but the remaining 20% are horrendous. Example, tonight I call because I have a question for the pharmacist. After going through their automated system the line connects me with the pharmacy staff. Typically before someone places you on hold, they say something along the lines of "Walgreens, please hold." This person did not do that. And of course at first I'm thinking, that sucks but that's okay, they could be super busy! WELL hahaha that happened 4 more times. Never heard anyone's voice, was just perpetually placed on hold. I eventually decided to hang up. It's disheartening because patients need to be able to ask their pharmacist questions about their medication/health. If you need a prescription filled, go anywhere else. They always have problems filling. You will wait forever and have to keep calling them. They have to contact the doctor, or the insurance isn't going through, then when I call and talk to someone else after waiting on hold for 30 mins each time, they say there isn't an issue. It takes 4+ hours to get anything filled. I had to pay out of pocket in order to get my prescription the first time just because they took so long that by the time I could come in to get it they wouldn't help me resolve the insurance issue because it was the end of the day, even though the prescription was covered under my insurance. Have gone through them twice thinking the first time was a fluke but it was more of the same the second time. Last thing you want to deal with when you are sick or need something in a timely fashion. read more

I called in my prescription on Friday telling them that I would be there on Sunday to pick it up........here it is Sunday- waited in the drive through to pick it up for 45 minutes because they're "short staffed" JUST to be told that my prescription ISN'T ready but will be ready in 45 minutes. The final straw is they partial filled a script and said the rest would be filled a couple of days later. I knew it was BS and I knew I would have to come back again and spend 1-2 hours waiting AGAIN. Well guess what. Never got filled which I knew would happen. So they don't answer their phone and I went online to get a refill submitted. Now they can't use insurance because I refilled too early. Done.... I wanted to go local but I'm done. My family was traveling from the east coast to stay a month in Bend. We loaded up on our prescriptions as late as possible because insurance. We knew we would have to get a couple filled here, but that's totally normal, so I didn't think much of it. I brought the bottles to the pharmacy. I was told I would have to have my home pharmacy transfer the actual prescription to Walgreens. Um, okay. I have the bottle that has refills left on it. It's not a controlled substance. But whatevs. My pharmacy (while slow sometimes, always does what they say they did) sent them. I confirmed that. Walgreens only had one of them. Okay. Again, let's see what we can do. Well, nothing. They can and will do nothing. I figured out a way around the missing prescription. Then, my son's medication. That he NEEDS - I bring the bottle in. I'm on the phone WITH my pharmacy and tell them - send it to the same number you sent the other one, I got the name of the pharmacist here, just to be sure. I called the next day to see if it was ready. No. Okay, do you think you can have it ready before you close? "Should be able to" - yes, that's 4 hours from now and it's urgent since this was supposed to be done yesterday. I go to pick it up. Not done. Oh, and they are closed on Saturday and Sunday...and it's Friday. He says that he can "text his friend at the other Walgreens". Great. He does that. I call the other Walgreens. They have the prescription. I ask her, "my son NEEDS this medication tomorrow morning. What's the earliest I can come and get it?" She says, "after 11:00 am tomorrow". I ask her, "do you promise? I still have time to make other arrangements at another pharmacy." Yes, she promises. I get to the store the next morning after 11:00 am. THE PHARMACY IS CLOSED FOR THE DAY. I mean...I just can't. I have traveled all over US and the world this past year. I know there is a lot of understaffing and labor issues. I can 100% appreciate that. It's rampant. I never got rude or took out my frustration on the people, but I have never seen such a lack of care or sense of urgency as I have with these two pharmacies. #rantover. read more

Each month my DR submits my reoccurring prescription. Yet they don't and won't fill it till you physically call and request to fill it. The DR called and they wouldn't fill it with my doctor either. It will just sit in their system untouched. God forbid you call, you're on hold for 30+ minutes (usually the time I give up waiting). There is NO reason you're on hold for that long when you call when they have been opened for a MINUTE. I've been in this Walgreens countless times, and its NEVER been busy enough to have people just sitting on the phones without being helped. read more

I have had the WORST experience trying to get a prescription refilled. I waited for 1.5 hours on hold to get in touch with anyone. When I finally talked to a human, they said it would be filled that day. The next day I loaded the baby in the car seat to pick up the prescription to learn their drive through is indefinitely closed. A week later, it is still not filled. Glad it is diaper rash cream and not something like an anti-seizure medicine. We will not try to return. read more

If I could rate Walgreens zero stars I would. We have had several issues with getting prescriptions filled in a timely manner, but this last occurrence is the last straw. I was scheduled to have surgery on a Thursday so my surgeon's office called in my postoperative meds the Monday prior. It is now Saturday, TWO days AFTER my surgery and Walgreens still has not filled my prescriptions. I have spent hours on hold trying to get through to a pharmacy representative. Today (Saturday) I finally found someone to drive me to the Walgreens on Franklin only to find out the pharmacy is closed on the weekends. I contacted the Walgreens on highway 20 to get my script transferred and was told my meds would be ready in 90 minutes. Three hours later and the script still has not been filled. This company has no right being in business if this is how they treat their customers. Shame shame shame! read more

Horrible service! Horrible internal policies. They close the entire pharmacy for over 30 minutes in the middle of the day! No sign or note indicating where they went or when they will be back. Another customer in the store had to tell us that they were closed for lunch but he thought they would be back soon. So I waited 20 minutes since I already drove down there. 5 employees walk from their back-room area back into the pharmacy after the line had started building up. Now there's about 6 or more of us in line. The Pharmacy employees walked just a few feet within everyone in the line and not one of them acknowledged the people waiting in the line. Another 5 minutes pass while each employee gets back to their stations and gets logged into their computers. And finally at 212p (I note the time because while waiting for 20 minutes I looked online and it says *pharmacy closed 130 to 2 for meal break) the tech "Doc" is the first to invite somebody from the line up. No acknowledgment for him waiting through their entire lunch. Not a "thank you for your patience" or " sorry about the wait." When it's my turn at the counter (again, no apology or acknowledgment of the wait), I'm told it will be at least a 45 minute wait if I want a flu shot because the pharmacist "just came back from lunch and needs to get caught up." I called the customer service line to let them know how frustrating this is, and suggest that 5 employees are enough to stagger breaks. But I shouldn't have been surprised... stuck on hold for long enough on their customer service line to write my angry rant on Yelp instead of talking to a person. read more

Medicine, a prescription for some, a necessity for most all. I am very disappointed in how Walgreens is running the pharmacy. I get it, we are in the middle of a pandemic, it is hard to get staff but meds, that is our life. It is how we function and it is not something to be taken lightly. A few incidences have occurred since I have been trying to get my meds for over a week now. I my self have banker hours, it is close to impossible to get here just in time to get in a line that takes another 20 minutes to get through. I had arrived at the east side location waiting for about 10 minutes. They decided to close the drive through for some reason which is fine but a cone was placed right in front of my tire so I couldn't go anywhere. I ask the gal if it was possible to get in because I was waiting for so long. She got very rude and snapped at me. If she has calmly said we have inside open still I would have thanked her. Instead she raised her voice and was disrespectful. The app has told me many times it was ready, then I can get to work late finally to get to the pharmacy right when they open and it is 7 minutes late opening, only to be told that I would have to wait another 20 minutes for it to get ready. I then asked the gal at the window why this was happening and her response was "yeah, the app does that sometimes." I get sometimes the app not working but come on. Then I asked to speak to a manager. She slams the phone down and walks away. And then came back and very rudely said "just so you know there are like 900 people in the same situation as you and we just need to be patient. " I have been patient for over a week now. Now I am behind on my meds and spiraling. This is a very serious issue. If things don't change soon I will be looking for a different company for my pharmaceutical needs. The staff is incredibly disrespectful, and I have never as a good interaction with anyone there, store and pharmacy alike. read more

I have worked a lot of customer service jobs, and I have complete understanding for the need to follow policies and procedures set by management. It can be a tough, thankless job. Because of my background, I ask questions politely and respectfully, the pharmacy techs at this Walgreen location don't see to feel the need to answer with any level of respect. I dropped off a prescription to one of the rudest, snarkiest customer service reps I have ever encountered, and when I went back to pick it up the next day, I was waiting in the drive thru line, 4 minutes before they opened. I was told that I needed to wait in the parking lot and not the drive thru because "lines can form behind cars when you wait in line before they open because people don't realize they're closed." If it had been 15-20 minutes before, this would have made a lot of sense to me. But it wasn't....So two minutes before the drive thru opens, I moved my car to a parking space and waited until 8:00. It took almost as long to move my car as it did to wait in the parking space. Never once did I see another car in sight. It is rare for me to feel like I am just an inconvenience to a business and it's employees, but this was definitely the case here. I will not be going back to this Walgreens. It is more out of my way to go to the location on Franklin, but the inconvenience it causes me is well worth saving myself from feeling the way that I felt visiting this location. read more

I'm so incredibly frustrated here. I tried to transfer a prescription to Walgreens for over a week now. My old pharmacy kept telling me that they have transferred it to them several times and aren't sure what's going on. A week later when they finally get the transfer located they can't fill the prescription for another week because they have to order it. I get they're short staffed, I really do. But they wasted over a week of my time (sitting on hold, waiting for a call back, waiting to get the transfer, etc). I get being short handed, I just don't get being this disorganized. I would give this walgreens a minus number if I could. I have tried to pick up 2 medications at the drive up window 3 times this week. I always go when the window is "supposed to" be open, and every time the shade is pulled with no explanation about when they might be open. I know they're severely short staffed, but surely they can put a note on the window regarding when they expect to be open. Also, my husband and I made an APPOINTMENT to get our new Covid vaccines, and when we arrived we were told that that pharmacist wouldn't be in for another hour, and it might take 3 hours to get our vaccine. I'm not sure why all the bad press? I use the app to scan my prescriptions, get an email, text and phone call when it's ready, stroll down and pick it up. They are always on the shelf waiting when I arrive. There are lots of hiccups anymore with meds, insurance, busy Dr. Offices etc. all of which the pharmacy has no control of over. Store is super clean, people are always friendly and helpful. read more

This type of scenario has occurred during at least 70 percent of my visits to the pharmacy. Line inside wrapped around the aisles, line outside stretched across the parking lot. This pharmacy is so understaffed. There was a person in line in front of me returning medication they had picked up the day before because they gave them someone else's meds. Like waiting in line while untrained staff fumble your prescriptions? Walgreens on 27th is for you. The point of sale counter in the pharm is always understaffed, the lines are long and SLOooooooooooow, once you get to the front they won't have your Rx and when you come back 20 minutes later, and wait in line AGAIN, they still won't have your Rx. Third trip back and the Rx is "almost" ready but they only filled 1/2 of the Rx slips you handed them. Oops! In the meantime the hubby you just picked up from the hospital has been waiting in the car for these incompetents to do their jobs for an hour. Avoid this Walgreens like the plague, unless you like waiting a lot, being told to wait some more, and then get to wait more when they mess up the Rx. read more

I'm going to transfer my prescriptions out of this location. You can't even put the prescription order in on the app ahead of time because they won't start filling prescriptions until you come into the store. Which then becomes an hour long process waiting in line and waiting for your prescription to be filled. I've been going a week without my medicine thanks to them. read more
