I was in the drive thru line at 6:35pm. the car in front of me drove off at 6:44 pm. As I pulled up to the window the worker turned the lights off and put a sign in the window that said closed for meal break. They saw me and just left. So, this was the final straw with not only this location, but the Corporation. I get a text with medicine symbols, not words saying my Mothers scripts were ready for pick-up. I sent my husband and he picked up 2 scripts and had zero idea about what they were, just that I told him I was notified and to pick them up. imagine my surprise when one of the prescriptions was for a medicine we reported to them that my Mom was allergic (and was from 6 months ago) and the 2nd was for an inhaler which we was prescribed after having a stroke a year ago. We never filled it!! She didn't need it. So, I called and said they made a terrible mistake and guess what their response was? well, you walked out of the store with them, so too bad. The bags were still stapled! we didn't open them! So, I called Corporate and I'm still waiting after 3 weeks. Listen, take my advice and either find some other pharmacy (they could have killed my Mom) or, make sure they tell you exactly what they filled before you even touch the bags. It's o wonder they are closing Walgreens across the country! who fills a script from 11 1/2 months ago??? What's wrong with the pharmacists? My Mom had a terrible reaction to one of the meds and had to be taken in, and they filled it even after it was documented??? and they won't give a senior back her money??? Run and find a pharmacy with professionals who pay attention and actually care. BTW..this was not during their "rush hour," so there is zero excuse. and while some people might think $100 isn't a lot of money, to a senior that had 2 strokes and lives off of Social security, it is a lot of money. Beware Walgreens at 180 E Lake Bloomingdale, IL I have Glaucoma and need medicine for my eyes so I do not lose my sight. After my doctor prescribed the medicine and sent the prescription to this Walgreens, and my insurance approved the prescription, the pharmacist Nehal Amin (Nehal Kumar) refused to fill the prescription. After hours of frustration I called a non-Walgreens pharmacy and asked to have this prescription transferred. About an hour later the non-Walgreens pharmacy called to tell me I could pick up my filled prescription. They also informed me that when they called Walgreens to transfer the prescription Nehal Amin (Nehal Kumar) told them NOT to fill this prescription. It is bad enough that Nehal Amin (Nehal Kumar) refused to fill my needed prescription but to try to PREVENT me from obtaining my doctor prescribed medication is beyond belief, in my opinion CRIMINAL. I believe that at the very least she is liable for violating my civil rights as well and deliberately intending me physical harm (Causing me to lose my vision.) In the hours preceding to call to the non-Walgreens pharmacy I called the corporate headquarters of Walgreens to complain. I was treated very rudely. Three calls to the corporate office and the same treatment. I would rather stick my finger in an electrical outlet than ever call therm again. The corporate office refused to give me the name of the pharmacist as I stated I intended to file a complaint against her license. They only gave me a first name and that I could get the rest on their web site--which is a lie. I was just on hold for 10 minutes 36 seconds holding to speak to someone in the pharmacy. A person actually picked up the phone twice and twice put me back on hold. Not even a "please hold" just pushed the hold button again. It is 6:25 pm on Monday, Feb. 15 there is a blizzard going on outside. I can't imagine the pharmacy being that crowed. The person who picked up the phone Bridget was not friendly and quick to tell me they are busy. I guess a customer on the phone isn't as important as the one in the store. Walgreens is loosing my business there are others places that I could get my prescription. read more

UPDATE: 11/2017 - You can add RUDE to the list as well - they continue to be understaffed in the pharmacy - you seriously need to plan 15-20 minutes to pick up a prescription that IS READY. To make matters worse, they have every whiny, sappy, awful love song from the early 70's playing - if that seems trite, I challenge you to listen to "WILDFIRE" on repeat for 10 minutes.... Awful, awful, awful. My insurance company made me switch from CVS and I could not be more disappointed. This Walgreens is pretty much copy and paste from any other Walgreens. They have almost everything you could imagine from Q-Tips to lawn chairs. I come here when I need to pick up a last minute item and don't want to drive too far. Every once in a while they have some great deals on products I used regularly, too. As far as other services, they are pretty convenient. While not 24 hours, they are open until 10pm every day. The Pharmacy, however, is only open 9-5 on Sat/Sun, but it does have a drive-thru option and you can get your flu shots inside. The store has a Photo Lab with a DIY machine, film processing and a one-day photo option. You can also do web pickup here. I only have two complaints: 1) They aren't 24 hours. 2) They always seem to be out of Cover Girl CG Smoothers liquid concealer in shade 110. You'd swear I was the whitest girl on the block out here in Suburbia. Either they don't carry it at all or maybe I'm not the whitest girls and all the other ones get here before I do. read more

Don't bother trying to contact the Pharmacy by phone. My past experience has been that you will be on hold for at least 10 minutes (or more) before speaking with anyone. I called today and kept getting a message there is one caller before you. Then it would ring two or three times and go back into the on hold mode. They are great calling and e mailing you when a prescription is ready or eligible for refill. Sad their customer service is non existent when you try to reach them by phone. How about being able to leave a message, or prompt to request a callback. Or would that kind of real customer service be too much of a liability? read more

I have been using Walgreens forever. The store itself is great, this review is directed towards the pharmacy. I have had so many issues when receiving my prescriptions. Either they don't fax or contact the accurate doctors office, or haven't contacted my insurance so they try to charge me $100+ for my scripts! Why do I have to call Walgreens on multiple occasions to confirm they are doing their job? the patient should not need to verify the doctor, phone number, fax number, etc. every time they fill the same prescription each month. Also I've had some very rude employees at the pick up window, giving me an attitude because their store didn't send something thru accurately. Maybe the additional trip to the farther Walgreens will be necessary for now. read more

I am in the United States Army and I am deploying this week. I walked in and the cosmetics associate was very friendly and told me they offer a military discount. When I got to the register the Cashier Sandy was very rude. When I asked to for military discount she then questioned my service. She called the supervisor and she said no they do not and the supervisor couldn't even come up to the register. She gave me attitude for the rest of the transaction and she didn't even want to help me. If I was in my uniform I would've been treated with respect. I have been going to this Walgreens for years and I do not want to go back. I've worked in retail for years, if one associate mentions a discount to the customer, the cashier should always follow through with it. Or make sure all the associates are on page with what discounts they have vs what they don't. read more

I shop at Walgreens a lot and have my prescriptions filled here. However, when it comes to a newer brand of cupcakes they're carrying, I feel the FULL name on the package needs to be more prominent. The cupcakes are Good & de Lish. The de Lish is the most prominient. On MANY occasions and by VERY MANY people, this is mistaken for Delish Cakes in Bloomingdale, IL. I can't believe this has been allowed & can only hope Delish Cakes would not find this acceptable. read more

We had to switch from CVS to Walgreens as of Jan 1, 2017 because Blue Cross prescription coverage. Worst service by far. My wife had prescriptions sent in from Wheaton, went in 45 minutes later and still hadn't been done. I wonder if all Walgreens are as bad? read more

The only Walgreen's for me! Love that it is convenient to get to and not busy at most times during the day. Plus 24 hours is fantastic!
