I've been using Walgreens as my primary, really the only pharmacy I use . Seriously thinking of finding another pharmacy. For years I used the small Walgreens at the Davies medical center. I got excellent service there. . The pharmacy became exclusively for prescriptions filled for in house patients or something like that. So I switched to the 18th street pharmacy at Castro Street. It's been one issue after another . Never the same employees so I have no allies in the sense that someone is looking out for me. Never mind all the company policies that continue to add to the difficulty of getting my meds filled much less the untimely manner as well. I'm frustrated. I hate to give any more business to Amazon. So I need to find a better alternative. Any and all suggestions are appreciated! read more

Trying to call the pharmacy on the phone is a nightmare. I called several times only to be put on hold for a long time, then getting a person telling me to hold, then getting cut off every time. Navigating the touch tone/voice is also a nightmare. The CVS down the street is super easy to call and they got my prescription with no problem. read more

I bought a MasterCard gift card and brought it back after having issues activating it. Arlene, the shift supervisor, took the time to do it herself, all in a calm, friendly manner. That was above and beyond the call of duty...and I'm an idiot. read more

Terrible experience at the Walgreens in Palm Springs when I ordered a vinyl graduation banner and it was printed on paper. The manager at the store gave me an attitude like I did something wrong. I came to this Cathedral City location and Val the shift lead and Lydia helped me with the graduation banner I wanted. They were so professional and helped fulfill my order. We had booster Covid shots scheduled for 130 and 2 yet they go on break then. Plus they didn't start working again til 230 after a break where the whole dept goes on lunch. Both myself and My wife work for a living and we can't deal with this level of client care where we have to wait 75 minutes for a scheduled and confirmed appointment. Walgreens shows why their stock stinks via their poor client experiences. I'll use Costco, Vons or a pet clinic before I go to Walgreens again. read more

This pharmacist and his techs needs to take a vacation. The pharmacist was so stressed out, I felt like I was a burden and he didn't even want to be doing what he does for a living. Not once did he consider my welfare or tend to the concern of my suffering. He applied zero knowledge or experience or skill to his ability to assure me. There was no respect or professional competence. Professional moral was nowhere to be found. I felt like I had no advocate for my care and the only thing I would like him to pass down to his future generation of pharmacist is this experience of showing no value to me and this is how you should never treat a patient. Walgreens needs to highly reconsider their choice of pharmacist. read more

Every time I call to speak to someone in the pharmacy they place me back on hold over and over without answering, until the phone system finally drops my call. Every time I call it's at least 10-12 minutes of this just to get hung up on. It's the most irresponsible behavior I've ever encountered from a place that is dispensing medication that peoples lives depend on. read more

No reason to make an appointment for a flu shot, they have no plan. You get same level of service just showing up. So sad.

The folks in the pharmacy are stellar and very helpful. But, hit the main store and it's like night vs. day. The sales associates are crabby and unhelpful. They don't make people wear masks. If you don't want to wear a mask that is your option but you cannot go into the public like you own it. The state says wear it and you should and businesses should uphold the directive from the Governor. Sorry people can be a bitch. Needed my prescription for pneumonia they decided to shut down the pharmacy temporarily so I patiently waited 5 days for them to open up on Tuesday. They then said my medicine is out of stock but more is on the way. Waited until Friday so a total of 8 days waiting for medicine I NEED. Tried calling today and it now shows I have no prescriptions waiting. I'm guessing it passed the window time frame I needed to pick up and now I have to get it prescribed again. If you needed any medical needs DO NOT go here and have your medicine here. I understand it's the holidays but cmon. Since the end of August and beginning of September Walgreens has been aggressively promoting flu vaccines. I am a strong proponent, but didn't realize how deceptive they are being, I accepted their professional guidance which isn't remotely accurate. The protection from the vaccine begins to decrease sometime around 4-6 months. This is according to health care professionals and the CDC. Every source that I have come across including Dr Faucci suggests the end of October is ideal. Why this is important is because having been convinced by the technician and administered by pharmacist my vaccine will begin losing its potency in December which is in the middle of the flu season. I am in older age category and didn't need the vaccine for three months after receiving it. In addition all staff members including the PharmD will mislead you or outright lie. One technician informed that I will be protected for one year, false. The pharmacist claims that the government is requiring that they start administering in August when the CDC website site clearly states October. You may want to do your own research, come to your own conclusion and receive the best care possible and not be manipulated by either misinformed or uneducated individuals. This is not the first time this type of health service has been provided, but it will be the last. read more

I have used Walgreens for years over CVS because they bought a little better generic; not from India or China. Recently Walgreens stopped taking my insurance and I was forced to use CVC. I'm happy I did. They both use crappy cheap generics and you need to request better ones but I have not had one issue with the Pharmacist and the Techs. The Vista Chino and Date Palm locations have both been very helpful and much nicer than what seems liked over worked, under paid Techs at Walgreens. read more

So I go to pick up my 2 prescriptions on Saturday November 27th and th pharmacy is closed. I asked a woman stocking shelves if they are late getting back from lunch. 110 degrees and would not let my dogs in with me - to pick up a few items really quickly on the way home. It's up to each store manager. Service dogs are exempt. It was 110 degrees and the manager said the dogs couldn't be brought it. Really? All 8 pounds and 12 pounds of sweetness? Just a quick pick up for a couple of items. My Dr gave me 4 names of prescription & said check with pharmacy to see which would be less cost to me since the other Drug was over $400!! Walgreens (david)? Refused to look up the cost without a perscription & was very short with me! Guess i wasnt wortb his time. I have been going to this Walgreens since it opened. I've never had a problem with the service perse, though it is a bit of a gamble with how the attitude is of the person at the register. It has been the same people working here for the past five years at least, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. On the one hand, you know who the good people are and the bad people are. But on the other hand, for me, it is really hard to try and get a job here. You would think with how easy it is compared to some other jobs, you would always see a reasonably happy face, but this isn't always necessarily the case with this place. read more

Been going to this Walgreens for years, but tonight my wife had the worst expierence in this store. There was a lady following my wife around with our children like she was going to steal something. My wife doesn't even swear let alone steal. My wife opened up a nail polish and applied a tiny spec on her nail to see how the color would dry. The photo associate found my wife and told her that her pictures were ready. My wife then placed the nail polish back and went straight to the register. The same lady went behind the register and told her that she would have to pay for that product because she used it. My wife informed her that it was only a spec,but the lady said she still had to buy it. My wife then said fine and asked her to get it for her. My wife is disabled and walks at a slow pace. My wife told her that she should have said something to her when she was standing right behind her watching her instead of causing a scene. She then told my wife that maybe she should show a better example infront of our children and teach them not to steal. My wife and I are abiding citizens. We pay taxes and to a lot of charity work for this city. I called down to the store and come to find out, the lady was the store manager. WILL BE CALLING CORPERATE TOMORROW! read more
