Customer service here has gone DOWNHILL. I came to this Sephora on Sunday morning a minute or 2 before they opened at 11am. I was waiting just outside the doors with another customer. At 11am the S.A. comes over unlocks the door and walks away immediately. She clearly saw us standing there and couldn't be bothered to actually push the door open to let us know. I mean, it would've required an extra 2 seconds of effort. I almost wanted to leave at this point but I really needed my shampoo. Inside, there were about 10 SAs just hanging around, chatting amongst themselves. Got my shampoo and got in line to pay (had to wait of course because there was only 1 person behind the counter and the 9 others were busy chatting). I used to come here a lot, but I really don't enjoy shopping here anymore. I'm either ignored, or heaven forbid I ask something, they don't know the answer. read more

This used to be a good sephora, but I have unfortunately found nothing but side eye and rudeness from the sales associates over the last dozen or so times stepping foot into the store. The Palm Springs location has far superior customer service and is a cleaner store. read more

Being more familiar with the baby Sephora store in Kohl's, I popped in here while doing other shopping at the Gardens to pick up some Giorgio Armani foundation. I had to ask the two staff ladies that were chatting in the aisle where it was, which was met with sullen annoyance. When I couldn't find the shade I needed, she walked back with me and silently pulled it from the top of the shelf and handed it over with a bored look on her face. Whatever. I also wanted to shop for fragrance as that is one of my obsessions, and upon approaching the fragrance wall to spray scents on the sample sticks, I discovered that each bottle was attached to the shelves with a retracting cord. Not only does this instantly give a ghetto vibe (which is weird in this upscale shopping area) but the bottles that I wanted to sample on the upper shelves were difficult to manage with the cords. And lastly, when I was checking out the cashier told me my total and said "enter your phone number on the pad". I said I don't give out my number and she stared at me dumbfounded then said it was required for points or something. After declining a few times I had to tell her that my husband is an attorney and I have strict orders to never give out my phone number. I went in on a Friday afternoon, a few customers. So excited to actually shop in a store and not online. I wanted to see many products and purchase several for variety. The makeup artist became frustrated with me and asked someone to come take over. I was hurt and quite devastated. I was only kind and the second makeup artist was unkind and really didn't care. Sephora, you are missing out on good opportunities to sell products. Instead I left feeling bad and discounted. Going into to shop at your store should not be stressful and sad. read more

I was in the store for 30-40 mins and not one sales associate spoke or offered assistance the whole time. They walked right by me and just looked and never said a word. I saw and heard interactions with other customers beside me. Maybe it was because I was the only person of color in the store. The cashier said hello but didn't ask if anyone helped on the floor and didn't offer me to use my points towards my purchase, I had to prompt her. By far one of most off- putting experiences I've had in a store and would probably just order online next then be visit this location again. read more

I had high expectations going into Sephora because the reviews are generally really positive, but unfortunately, the day I went must have been an off day for the staff. The store was noticeably dirty -- there was makeup smeared on displays, broken products, and sample stations that looked completely destroyed or picked over. It didn't feel like anyone had cleaned or restocked in a while. There wasn't much assistance available either. Aside from one person by the entrance greeting people, it was hard to find anyone on the floor to ask for help. I'm hoping this was just a one-off experience because it really didn't match the hype or the usual standard that Sephora is known for. read more

Horrible customer service/policy in store and your customer service line. I have bought 2 Rare Beauty products(blush) in the color Joy and Happy. The Happy blush broke into pieces. The joy was fine. Bought a 2nd blush Happy broke into pieces again. Keep in mind the JOY color still has not broken, went back to store and was basically told nothing they can do about product being defective as this is what I believe I got since both products broke into pieces, was referred to their 800-customer service line. Which was a waste of my time as I was given the identical speech. They actually referred me to contact the Company Rare Beauty myself to complain about a product they sold to me at their store, very disappointed with the service I received will be thinking twice about shopping there unless absolutely necessary, ill just stick to Macy's read more

Make sure to check the product before you leave the store. I'm from out of town. Back in my town today, went to do my makeup, opened my "brand new" Anastasia of Beverly Hills eyebrow pencil and the stick from the dispenser is missing! No eyebrows for me I guess. If they were open later, I'd give a 5 star! My recent visit was so much fun... got to play with many beauty products & get free samples & buy stuff... :-) If you want to try something before buying just ask for a sample, they have no problem making samples for customers. I got some perfume samples, Ouai Hair Oil sample (Wow! I must buy it now!), Illuminating Eye Cream sample... Liliana was super helpful & fun! Actually everyone was very helpful & cheery! I'll be back for sure... it'll just be a little hard since they close at 6pm most days... they're open later right now for the Holiday Season. I've been coming to Sephora for years, not again. Bought a foundation, bottle broke and was told I could have returned it. Ended up buying a new bottle. After less than a week the bottle broke again. I came in with the bottle and all the product in a zip block bag (after waiting for an employee to notice me in the make shift customer cage at the front door) and was told by the manager it's my problem. I've never had an issue with Sephora until now, for no reason. Was even told by representatives over the phone that the return policy is 60 days. read more

DISCRIMINATION!!! My wife was refused service and thrown out of this location today for having a medical condition which does not allow her to cover her nose and mouth with a mask. The managers harassed her and forced her to leave after she repeatedly said she could not wear a mask. The CDC states people with health conditions such as asthma etc are exempt from mandatory masks. The managers surrounded her and caused a large scene embarrassing her and forcing her to repeatedly state her disability in front of on looking customers and smug employees. They gave her no alternative method of purchase such as asking what she needed and then offering curbside pick up. This establishment is disgusting and discriminating against persons with health conditions. Especially the manager Michael. I'm sure they will experience a law suit soon, if not by us. read more

My girlfriend and I put the effort to rush around town all day long to get things done so we could be on time to her work holiday party. I dropped her off at 3:50pm what was supposed to be an hour makeup took two and a half hours! The event started at 6:00 PM! I love this place. I love makeup (even tho I rarely wear it). There's just always so many beautiful products, new highlighters, new lipsticks, face masks, etc. and I want it all! It's like Costco, you walk in for one thing and walk out with like 30 other things you didn't realize you needed. The ladies and gentlemen there are always friendly and helpful (even during the dreaded snowbird and holiday season). Ask for Kara, her eyebrows and winged liner are ALWAYS on fleek. I would trust her with my makeup decisions. You know the saying, "never trust someone with bad eyebrows", well hers are amazing, so ya'll can trust her. NOTE: this Sephora is dog friendly. read more

Two stars...store is quite small for a Sephora and always seems to be out of everything. Was there yesterday and asked to order a lipstick. First of all Jacqueline could not have made it more obvious that she was irritated at having to help me. Then an issue with a gift card that had to be used to apply a credit etc...it was ridiculously idiotic jumping through all the hoops and again, every step of the way was met with large sighs out of her, irritated expressions and an overall feeling of not wanting to assist us. I went there to get a refund for a double charge that I got at another Sephora store at the Universal Studios LA Sephora store. Right away, Jacqueline made me feel very unwelcome and awful. She gave me the feeling that she was very irritated and annoyed at having to make calls on my behalf. She also talked to me as if I were a child, not a customer. She referred to me to other employees as "this girl", when I was standing right next to her, hearing all her conversations with the other coworkers. I love this location! I walked in and was immediately greeted by Hallee. She helped me that morning choose the right concealer and foundation in my shade. I adore Sephora online, and most of your stores. The store in Palm Desert is horrible, I have wanted to write a review for a long time but it took the rude treatment my husband got when he went to buy me stocking stuffers to finally write. At this location the employees pick and choose who they wait on. My daughters and I did a experiment because we were so tired o service , I am in my late 50's, my eldest (26) is mixed race and my youngest (21) is Caucasian , when we walked in and went our separate ways only my youngest daughter was approached. My youngest was not asked once but multi times by more then one person if she needed help. I had to ask two different people to help me with my foundation. Almost every time I enter this store I can't find help. My husband went to get me stocking stuffers , he had no idea what he was doing and it took him forever to find help. He said a employee around his age noticed him and sweetly came to his rescue. He also noticed that young women came in and were approached right away. I am a "rouge" member and almost only use Sephora online because of the horrible treatment in this location. You go into Sephora to find things to give you a boost, make you feel enhanced. I leave feeling old and my mixed race daughter leaves feeling not worthy of their attention. Please retrain this store. read more

I went in to Sephora today intending on getting a new moisturizer and eye cream and when I walked over to the skincare an older lady came to "help" me. She asked what I was looking for, I said eye cream to help with dark circles and she laughed and basically said nothing would help them. She then walked over and pointed to a cream (she wasn't really saying much??" I just kind of followed her) So I said, "oh, can I just sample it to know if I like it and come back to buy it if I do?" and she said I wouldn't see a difference if I just sampled it?? (not sure what samples are for then lol) She gave me one anyway but there's barely anything in the sample...
