The quality, quantity, and variety of hair available keeps me coming here to keep up with my natural protective styles. I have purchased wigs, sew-in hair, and braiding supplies from her and I am always satisfied with my purchases. The customer service is top-notch. I always have to ask for assistance because YouTube never provides all the answers, bahaha. Anyway, you will enjoy shopping here and the prices are very fair and competitive. Nevertheless, the store is super convenient and they always have what I'm looking for. My only compliant is the tightness of the aisles. They have really outgrown this location but I guess as long as they're good they will work with what they have. Now you can maneuver easily if there's one way traffic but if it's you and another trying to pass by on an aisle expect to say excuse me a lot. While it's not terrible it could just be better. But here you'll find some of everything! ! All types of hair of course: braided, crochet, wigs, faux locks, different color hair, bundles, and even hair pieces. You'll also find: costume jewelry, purses, shoes, stockings, etc. I mean it's a lot here. It's definitely worth a trip just to see. The shop is located in the busy Victory Crossing shopping center in Portsmouth, off of Airline Blvd. Nearby you'll find: Tropical Smoothie, Pizza Hut, a barber shop, Farm Fresh, several eateries and other shops. There's even a Wawa and 7-eleven that's in walking distance. Of course I recommend you visit here. But definitely go in with an open mind you just never know what attitude you'll receive from the owners/employees but they mean well. Parking is tight too and stays super busy in this area. RACISM STILL EXIST HERE I have been coming to the store for…read morea past three years and I have spent thousands of dollars I even signed up for their subscription plan where I was getting money off of my purchases because of how often I came I have had a few encounters where the staff would follow me around in the store and I respectfully asked not to, but today was the last straw again I was followed around in the store and when I asked why this time it was the owner and he said it's his story he can do what he wants With that response. I made it clear to him. Today will be the last day that comes to the store and I also let him know that I was gonna leave a bad review. I did not scream I did not yell and after I said it, he quickly told me to forget it and try to apologize for me. The damage had already been done considering this is not the first time And to make it clear the way I was dressed. Was that of a soccer mom I hate to be the person to write this type of review, but some people have to learn the hard way. I enjoy trying new products because she is willing to explain how to use them properly. The skincare products like African Shea Butter are Hugh quality and cheaper than in most other beauty stores. The store has jewelry, some comfy shoe options and oils. You will love her variety of wigs and hair for weaving and braiding. The hair coloring options are good too. There are some hair care tools and small appliances. She is affiliated with military and very patriotic. This store was located in Virginia Beach at one time. I like this location better. Today I went to Angie's Beauty Supply store and was highly disappointed today . I was shopping ,…read moresearching, and looking for a bonnet to buy. All of the bonnets were neatly wrapped in plastic except for one . I was Interested in buying this particular bonnet because of the design and style however , this particular bonnet was not wrapped up in plastic and you could tell that someone had tried on the bonnet . It was the last bonnet with the color and design that I was interested in buying . I asked the owner if she could give me five percent off and explained my reasons and concerns why because the bonnet was already worn and used .The owner refused to . Then I asked her if I could get at least two percent off and she told me no .Due to covid 19 going on , we must be aware , cautious , and follow the safety / producers in order for us to be in a safe environment. I also noticed that the owner did not have any particular social distance signs ,did not follow the procedures of the social distance 6 feet, and did not follow the procedures for covid 19 . As a customer who often shops here a lot. I am highly disappointed to be treated this way and believe that this incident should be made an aware of . I love shopping here at Angie's Beauty Supply store however , I am a little concerned if I want to shop at this beauty supply store location again.
