So I get enough energy to hobble inside to the store only to find they're "having technical difficulties" and won't be open anytime soon. I tap on the door, hoping to get some insight from the wandering employee inside. She slowly walks towards the door and I explain that I'm only here for an online pickup. She stares blankly and offers nothing. I'm just short of crying from frustration when I find a chair to sit in right outside the store so I can rest my Cam boot, which is already aching from the short walk. The same employee opens the door and tells me they'll be open in 20-30 minutes. They finally open and of course the online order part of the store has no one in it- shocker! So another "perky" employee says "oh, yeah, go to the front register." Great. I get there and it's the same employee that didn't help me initially. I give her my name and all I get is attitude, eye rolling, the whole nine. She barrages me with a series of ridiculous questions, all of which I answer. I'm losing my patience as I look around the store. Same employee then asks me for my ID. Um, ya think you could have done that to begin with? I finally get my order and take another look around the store- because it's the LAST time I'm ever there. 3 stars for the products and variety, ZERO stars for customer service = 1.5 stars.

There are some hair care tools and small appliances. She is affiliated with military and very patriotic. This store was located in Virginia Beach at one time. I like this location better. All of the bonnets were neatly wrapped in plastic except for one . I was Interested in buying this particular bonnet because of the design and style however , this particular bonnet was not wrapped up in plastic and you could tell that someone had tried on the bonnet . It was the last bonnet with the color and design that I was interested in buying . I asked the owner if she could give me five percent off and explained my reasons and concerns why because the bonnet was already worn and used .The owner refused to . Then I asked her if I could get at least two percent off and she told me no .Due to covid 19 going on , we must be aware , cautious , and follow the safety / producers in order for us to be in a safe environment. I also noticed that the owner did not have any particular social distance signs ,did not follow the procedures of the social distance 6 feet, and did not follow the procedures for covid 19 . As a customer who often shops here a lot. I am highly disappointed to be treated this way and believe that this incident should be made an aware of . I love shopping here at Angie's Beauty Supply store however , I am a little concerned if I want to shop at this beauty supply store location again. Friday afternoon I called to see if it was ready and was told by the tech that it would be ready in 15min. I decided to wait until Saturday. Called multiple times with no answer. Drove up to drive thru at 1:00pm and no one was there so I went inside. Was told they didn't have enough and my prescription wasn't filled. He contacted the High street location and informed them I was on my way at 1:16. I asked if they would be open and he stated I could get my medication if I got there before 1:30 because that's when they take their break. I got to High street Walgreens at 1:27 and saw the windows closed and the last tech leaving. If the hours are posted for the public at 1:30 why is it closed before? So I rushed following the advice of Toby from this Walgreens only to be made to wait anyway. Just awful. Why do they not let customers know if they cannot fill the prescription or when it is ready? They rarely answer the phone which I attempted calling back to back for hours. It's a goose chase. I already don't like taking medication but should not be sent on a scavenger hunt to get a common prescription filled.

Bad Situation Turned Good…read more This past Friday, November 17th, I purchased two Andis products from this store (1 Andis Profoil Shaver /1 Andis T-Outliner). To my dismay after returning home, while attempting to turn on the T-Outliner, I found it to be inoperable. Unable to return the product that day due to a weekend trip out of town, I returned to the store today to exchange this product and to ask about the possibility of exchanging the "Andis" Shaver for a "Wahl" Shaver. Upon my return to the store, I had a negative experience with "Jay", the store manager. He questioned me (did you drop it?) and alluded to me being untruthful after seeing a hair follicle on the side of the T-Outliner (which may have been picked up from my bathroom while using another product). After some back and forth, between myself, my brother and Jay, Jay tested the product and confirmed that it did indeed not work. He tested another T-Outliner and allowed me to exchange the defective product for the working one. Consequently, after Jay opened the box for the Shaver, he identified hair shavings inside the blade opening, keeping in mind I had not opened the box. I was shocked by this. Jay informed me that he could not exchange the shaver and that the new Outliner was non-returnable. After this interaction, I was angered and very offended. I quickly decided to call back to the store to gain the owner's contact information to further discuss the matter. After making several attempts to call, I finally got in touch with someone. To my dismay, it was Jay, the associate I had interacted with prior. Jay informed me that he was the owner. I explained to him how I had felt about his rudeness and after several minutes of talking, Jay apologized and informed me that he would accommodate my need to exchange the shaver. Long story short, Jay handled our altercation in a professional manner. He admitted that he had maybe based our interaction from past experiences from customers that tried to get over on them. I definitely understand this viewpoint, as I have worked customer service for several years. Overall, Jay made my day by taking time to hear me out and assisting me. I will definitely return to this store just because of how this young man handled this situation. He owned up to his mistake and helped me out in the end.I have much respect for him and his willingness to turn a bad situation into a very positive one. Thanks Jay! You've gained a repeat customer in me. Shop here!!!
