This morning, while I am peacefully sleeping, at 7:21 a.m. my phone rings. Cluelessly and without apology, this cheerful little voice from Walgreens starts telling me about the various vaccines they have for seniors. As she rambled on with her sales pitch, I interrupted by asking if she knew what time it was? And why the hell was she waking me out of bed to tell me this useless information? I just changed insurance providers who recommended Walgreens. That means I had to change all my prescriptions from CVS to Walgreens. Guess what?? I'm changing them back to CVS. Walgreens sucks. What idiot would program Live phone calls at 7:21 in the morning? And what even dumber idiot that works for them would think it's logical to call someone at 7:21 in the morning?? There is no wonder that America is going downhill fast. The Operations Manager for the pharmacy department is extremely rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. She is often confused and moves far slower than any other tech. I constantly have to repeat myself. Also, I don't understand why she always tells me "we will fill it when you get here" and I then have to argue with her to get something filled over the phone so that I don't have to wait when I get there! I know Walgreens still fills things when you call it in and sends the notification text when a prescription is ready for pick up, that's still normal process, so WHY is she insisting on us having to tell her in person and then sit and wait for 30+ minutes?!?!? 90% of the time I come here it's for a random pharmacy need / prescription. If it's ever for a prescription. The wait is always WAY longer than I think it should be (this is after I've already set my expectations for it to take forever!). Not sure why but no matter what, the line at the pharmacy is unbearable. Most recently, I came through the drive thru and I had a relatively pleasant experience. Hence the 3* and not 1* I'd normally give for 90% of my experience. We arrived to pick up 3 prescriptions and I knew only 1 was ready and the other 2 had just been called in from our doctors office. I let the pharmacist at the drive thru know only 1 was ready and she was nice enough to say they will get the other two ready and just to pull around the drive thru if anyone else comes behind me. Sure enough someone did pull up and I pulled around and of course now I ended up waiting what felt like forever because I was in the Walgreens on mockingbird pharmacy chaos. All was fine though because I was able to pick up all 3 prescriptions within 25 minutes and I left relatively happy because I wasn't going to have to come back and do it all over again! I definitely do not enjoy the pharmacy experience here but I'm happy they do at least have some level of customer service and they do try! read more

Yet again, another arrogant Walgreens pharmacist explaining to me how I am for not understand their mislabeled prescription. Walgreens used to be the mark of quality in pharmacies. Now, it is sad pretender that deserved to be sold because it hires employees who treat customers horribly so customers, like me, take their take elsewhere. Which I am now doing. Walgreens prescription name: Zepbound 7.5/0.5mL (4 pens) Qty: 2 What would any rational person thinks this means? If name of the prescription is 4 pens, and there are 4 pens per box, and the quantity is 2, one would expect to get (2) boxes. Yet (2) different Walgreens pharmacy employees told me openly how I just don't understand that "quantity 2 means 2 millimeters." WTF??? Where does that follow? Tired of being told I am stupid because this company hides its pharmacy practices behind a veil of secrecy then when you ask a question, they act pissed off that the person helping you pay their paycheck by my spending dollars DARED bother them. Most inept and impersonal experience over a needed medication. I was told "We only call your doctor once for approval and then you have to have them call us". The doctor HAS called and I'm in an endless cycle. Moving to Sam's and it was done. The staff was rude and uncaring and REALLY off putting. Shame on this company. The experience was the same at three locations which I was sent to for the prescription only to be told "no word from your Doctor" WHO WROTE THE PRESCRIPTION! There isn't enough words to say how bad this place it. Went to fill a prescription on Tuesday and they said it would be later that day. Instead of coming back later that day, I came in the next morning only to be told it wasn't filled and that it would be filled later that day. I came back that evening to pick it up and they didn't still have it ready!! They told me that it will certainly be ready the very next day first thing in the morning. So I came in on Thursday around 11. They still didn't fill it and they said they didn't even have the medicine. They gave me enough pills for the weekend and said they would get it on Monday. I waited until Monday 3 in the afternoon. and when I went in to pick it up it still wasn't there. 1 Someone should have called at some point to say this wasn't available. 2. After basically yelling at their staff someone finally called around to get a prescription. I do not know why this wasn't done from the beginning or at any point in the entire week of running me around!! 3. The staff member there acted as if this was all my fault that they couldn't fill a simple prescription. But not only that, they gave me the wrong prescription twice!!! 4. I do not know how they are still in business and why they haven't been sued for messing up someone's prescription to the point of harming someone. This place should be closed down and started over with competent people that are trained. Never go here. This place literally might endanger your health. read more

STAY AWAY! horrible customer service in the pharmacy. we went to get a simple shingles vaccine & no one was I the pharmacy & waited 55 minutes when we were told 5 minute. the pharmacist was so rude. he thought we couldn't hear him say "do they think they can come in and get a vaccine right away" This is not my 1st time here. When I came before I also had a bad experience with the Pharmacy specifically. i gave them another try but they faile. I will not return. I have been a Walgreens customer for over 30 years, using stores in multiple cities and states. Never have I experienced a more inefficient pharmacy than this one on Mockingbird Lane. Most of the staff are very nice, but they appear to be very disorganized. Prescriptions are often not ready when promised, and the entire process of picking up prescriptions, whether through the drive-up or in the store, is slow and unduly complex. They seem to have sufficient help - there are usually several clerks behind the counter - but they appear not to have a process; they are all scurrying around, asking each other questions, calling for help, and generally seem to expend a lot of wasted energy. It all results in terrible customer service. Someone needs to take a look at their procedures and/or training. If they improved their procedures they could probably serve more customers better and efficiently. I gave the rating 3 stars because the rest of the store is laid out well, the staff is friendly, and access to the store is easy - but they better fix the pharmacy or I'll have to end my 30 year relationship. read more

The store itself is great, and always well stocked, and the staff is very friendly. However, the pharmacy itself is a bit of a mess. Staff is still very friendly, but they are obviously severely understaffed. There's always a long line when you go there during any peak hours, and I've had them screw up our prescriptions a few times. Really it's too bad because I've been using Walgreens forever. But, I think the CVS down the road is actually better in terms of filling prescriptions. read more

DO NOT USE THE PHARMACY HERE! I am 36 weeks pregnant and was encouraged by my doctor to receive the RSV vaccine to protect my future son as he will be born during peak cold/flu/covid season. I received the wrong RSV vaccine at this location due to the pharmacists total and complete incompetence. I asked multiple times if the vaccine I was being administered was approved for pregnant individuals and he confirmed that it was. The pharmacist then called me two days later to inform me that he had infact, given me the vaccine that is NOT approved for pregnant people. He has endangered myself, my unborn child, and could not articulate what happened nor did he apologize for his carelessness. This pharmacist should be fired and this should serve as a warning to stay away from this Walgreens. In the future, I will always make sure to watch the pharmacist put the drug in the syringe and read the label myself as Walgreens quality control can not be trusted.. even if you ask multiple times. I have already filed a complaint with Walgreens corporate and the state of Texas. The total idiocy of this operation is actually dangerous to your health. read more

The gauntlet of homeless people outside? The lack of masks as a sign of concern or cleanliness? or the 30 minute wait while they look for the misfiled prescriptions? Perhaps the Press-Ganey Survey smile, that makes the staff think they are invisible as they walk away? The Pharmacy is in the back, like the milk and eggs at the grocery , because they only use it to get you to walk past the things they would rather sell. Pharmacy is understaffed, under resourced, under trained and disorganized. Check your items carefully, it's a long trip through the line to get things sorted out after you leave the window. Vending machines work better, and care more, which seems to be what they are trying to tell you. Phone IVR is a failure. Times out and you end up needing to talk to staff anyway. Phone will spam you with promotions, if you give them your number. read more

Still can't give zero. The service is slow, but at least it's rude. This is a drug store that is quite often out of drugs. What? Apparently, "We will have it tomorrow" means "We may have it sometime in the future. Perhaps." I always assumed a drug store had contacts at drug companies to help resupply them. Maybe the drug truck didn't come by this week. It doesn't matter. It's only insulin. It's not like it's life or death or anything. I am convinced that an insurance executive somewhere determined the best way to save money on drug costs was to make people use mail order. Whether you go inside or whether you utilize the drive through, the line at Walgreen's pharmacy is atrocious, and it's been so for years. Most people will pay a premium for a higher level of service, I know I do, so PLEASE invest in your brand and your reputation by staffing appropriately, hire people who speak English, hire professionals who truly understand the covenants of customer service, train your team, and be prepared for the business which you know utilize this branch and need your services. Won't let me give zero stars or I would. This pharmacy has given me the wrong prescription, not even the generic, the literal wrong prescription. I called my doctor to verify and she confirmed they did not fill what she prescribed. When I called customer service they tried to argue with me about it since it was "in the system" as the wrong prescription. Finally after being transferred to 3 different people, they finally contacted my doctor and admitted they had entered it wrong. They also have given me generic versions of my medication even though my doctor writes in that I need the brand since the generic gives me bad side effects. Recently I was lied to and told that they no longer make the brand name. I looked it up and this is 100% false, they just didn't want to order any more since they are out. Slowest and worst service out of any pharmacy I've been to. It took four trips to get my 3 prescriptions. They told us it would be ready at 3. At 3:15 we arrived and they said it wasn't ready, come back at 3:45. We came back and 1 out of 3 was ready. They said come back at 5 for the rest. We came back at 6 and they said it wasn't ready yet. 20 minutes later we got one more. Had to come back a fourth time for the third, over three hours late! How hard can it be to pour some pills in a bottle? We definitely will not be returning to this location. read more

Be prepared to wait. They only have two people working in the pharmacy. That for working the counter, working the two lane drive thru, filling prescriptions, checking people for vaccinations and administering the vaccinations. I went into the pharmacy to have my prescription filled due to a respiratory infection! The Pharmacist called me a fraud to my face stated folk was writing fake prescriptions. I advised her reach out to the hospital and verify! After calling the hospital I was advised by the Doctor , I verified the prescription the pharmacist say He didn't feel comfortable dispensing it. These people literally lied to me 3 times, first we have it come back at 5:00, then we only have 10ml of 120ml dispensed and if I accepted the remainder would void. All these are lies and I'm notifying the FDA, they need to know how racist and impartial these pharmaceutical companies are! How do you void the remainder of a patients prescription when it has been written by a attending Physician! They assume everyone is on drugs and abusing their medicine. I wish I could give zero stars. My doctor called my inhaler into this location, and I went to pick it up 3 hours later. When I arrived they hadn't checked the voicemails for call ins. We sat there for 30 minutes while they "checked". She finally came back only to tell us that the pharmacist was "still checking". I can only imagine how many prescriptions were left un filled on their voicemail. Never use this location, ever. I left without my inhaler and had my doctor call it in somewhere else. This location doesn't even deserve 1 star. Their customer service is horrible and they have made a crucial mistake (either wrong drug or wrong price) on 100% of prescriptions I have filled there. I always have to go back several times because they mess up my non complicated prescriptions and run of the mill BCBS insurance. You cannot call the store; you must use the answering service and when they transfer to the store, the store will hang up on you. I will not be going back and do not recommend anyone use this particular location. First the hold music on the phone is Paula Abdul opposites attract from 1988 it will be stuck in your sinus filled head the rest of your life. Your being tortured listening to it over and over because it usually takes 15-20 min for a pharmacist. Generic drugs are not supreme they are bad quality compared to CVS. They ALWAYS mix my children's meds missing a day or two. I measured to the ML knowing this.
