This is the pharmacy that I have used for the last 10 Years. They are rarely timely. But it has gotten worse over the years. But this... Everyone needs to know about the seriously unprofessional attitude from the entire staff. 1. Drop off script. Hold on, let me check & see if we have this... on computer, yes we do. Please come back in 1.5 Hours. 2. Back in 1.5 Hours. Husband picking up, because I'm so sick with Acute Bronchitis. The $50 Inhaler, but not the other prescription. So they finally sell him something under their own brand. Tell him it's the same thing. 3. Get the scripts. I happen to remember the Doctor telling me it's 3 ingredients in one pill. Well this only has 2. Called Doctor, gives me the medicine with breakdowns. 4. Call pharmacy. Can barely speak. Won't admit saying had medicine on hand. Won't admit giving wrong medicine. Says I can return medicine I received... and they would have other medicine ready when my husband comes to pick it up. 5. Husband goes to pick up. Guess what? They have no idea why he is there. Takes them 1 hour to locate original prescription. Refund money. Oh, and they don't have the correct medicine after all. Extremely frustrating. Dealing with a staff that really doesn't give rats A--! Is this how they get their laughs? In my case, it wouldn't have been a lethal error. But the staff tried to give me something other than my Doctor prescribed. That isn't right. Also, if you aren't aware, Walgreens is one of the most expensive pharmacies out there. In the last several years, I have had a number of frustrations with regular prescriptions. With constant changes and challenges with Health Insurance, they caused more challenges with the way they communicate. But this was it Walgreens. This was the last straw. Be Careful... "DO NOT GO HERE FOR FLU-SHOT, they are lazy and will not entertain you well!" - So, I scheduled an appointment for Flu shot, and came in, dude with an attitude came and seems like he does not wanna be there and asked for my insurance card and he said that my insurance card was "inactive" and then another guy came in to help him, like after a minute and told me the same thing, and I told him I just got to the ER last week and how come its inactive, and he said pharmacy and ER are two complete different thing. LIKE DUDE THEY BOTH FITS UNDER HEALTH CARE INSURANCE, after I went to ER I went to get some prescribed medicine in another Wal-greens location and got my meds right away, any hows, I just went to CVS after that with free-hassle and confirmed to me that my insurance is active. read more

I cannot recall a single good experience here. Tonight I came in for OTC cold medicine as the competition was out of stock. I wanted to ask about differences between what I was looking for vs what they had in stock (as they too were out of what I wanted) and was ignored by the pharmacy while the girl working was yelling at people through the drive-through pickup line. Last time I came was awhile ago and when they refused to honor the price of allergy medicine - apparently the shelf label was incorrect and they rudely refused to honor that price. Prior to that I had awful experiences attempting to get prescriptions filled. Do not waste your time coming here. Had to pay double because of pharmacy mistake... ...and the pharmacy refused to make it right. Even after I called my insurance company and they called the pharmacy and verified it was the pharmacy's mistake, the pharmacy manager, pharmacist Laura, refused to adequately rectify this, of many, mistakes regarding my life-saving diabetic medication prescription. I paid for my months supply of meds and got home to discover it was incorrect. After a week of debate and finally having the insurance company call them, the pharmacy dispensed the remainder of the prescription but I had to pay full price for that one too(although I had already paid). Luckily I had the money to pay twice for a prescription that was incorrectly dispensed by the pharmacy, but it makes me wonder about people on a strict budget who cannot afford to double pay for their medications. This is concerning. This has been my pharmacy for over a decade because of its convenient location to my home (Monfort/ Beltline), but I will be finding another pharmacy from now on. Over the months, I have observed other pharmacy customers having issues with mistakes, when each time I go in to pick up my prescriptions there is a long line and a wait of 30 to 45 minutes just to pick up a prescription because everyone has problems. I was put on this medication only 6 months ago and I have only received the correct prescription one out of these 6 months from this pharmacy. My insurance company, UnitedHealthcare, recommended that I find another pharmacy, and I agree. If I could give this pharmacy NEGATIVE stars I would. read more

I'll travel back to uptown before I go back to this Pharmacy. The pharmacy told me to wait 20 minutes for my prescription. After 20 minutes they lost it. Then they told me that I'm not in the system at all. I explained that I've been going to the location in uptown for 2 years now and just as recent as 3 days ago. After 10 min they find me in the system and then another 10 min to fill 2 of my 3 prescriptions. As I paid they let me know that they didn't have my 3rd one in stock and I would have to go to another location. At an organized pharmacy they would let you know ahead of time that they don't have what you need in stock. Needless to say I won't be going back to this location. read more

This is a nice store and the pharmacy staff are very helpful. The problem is the staff or rather the management. The store staff is helpful but annoying - it is obvious the management forces them to say "Be Well!" and they go overboard greeting you and offering to help. (They get written up if they don't tell each customer to be well). It is nice to have good customer service but to be barraged by 3-4 employees (some of which greet you more than once) during each quick store visit is irritating. Also, Walgreens allows youth to hawking their charity fundraiser items outside the front door, so even before entering the store I'm getting hit up to buy something. Also you can forget about needing help when it is a hour before they close. They are rude and will blame your doctor so they won't help you and fill a prescription. I like this store when I need a few things in a pinch. I'm not a loyal shopper or anything, but I'll pass thru from time to time. The store itself is clean, in an accessible location, and easy to navigate. There's nothing worse than following a sign pointing you in one direction only to find out that you're not even close to the item you're wanting. I've never been in here when there wasn't some sort of attractive sale advertised. Be it a two-for-one ice cream (score!), or a sale on skin products during our brutal summers, there is always money to be saved when you're shopping for your specialty items. And there's a ton of variety for most of their products, so I'm not stuck with name or store brands if I don't want them. Even though this place is just a few blocks from my place, I don't visit very often, but am really seeking to avoid fighting the crowds at the Walmart across the street. Still, it's on the way home & the employees are always pleasant, so I don't mind a quick visit now and again. read more

This location is fine for buying basics like vitamins or cosmetics but their photo and pharmacy departments are I'll-managed and display a total lack of training. I've waited multiple times in line for the pharmacy for more than 40 mins to get already filled prescriptions. I ordered two prints from the photo department and one came out completely crooked with a roughly 1.5 in border that I didn't ask for. When I called the store about the issue the associate let me know they couldn't reprint for me the same day due to low staffing and to come in the next day. When I did a slim, white male with brown hair told me it would be pointless to reprint it because the same issue would happen. He told me the printer needed to be serviced by a tech and didn't know if any plans to get it fixed. So either the associate on the phone lied or the associate in the store couldn't be bothered to reprint the item. Only reason for two stars instead of one is because the cashiers have always been kind and courteous. read more

My review is regarding the pharmacy at this location. I have a fairly simple Rx that I fill every 10 weeks. Basically they have pull it off the shelf, stick my Rx label on the box, and hand it over to me. I don't know how or why but in the three years I've been filling this Rx at this pharmacy they have never had it right when I've gone in to pick it up. I know before I go to allow myself about an hour since I will have to stand in line to pick up my Rx, explain to the pharmacy technician why it is wrong, and then wait while they pull the right Rx. read more

The pharmacy is incredibly unhelpful and their website doesn't match what immunizations they actually had. I would've appreciated a call that said "we don't have that immunization" right now or don't do it but instead I had to drive all the way over here just to be told by a grumpy pharmacist they don't even have it. Let me start by saying this is the first bad review ive ever done. I was there at the pharmacy on my third trip of the day due to an error by Dr on one of my two Rx. My Dr office had to call the pharmacist and clarify the error. The pharmacist (Stephanie D) was very rude and inept or just plain rude to me. After waiting there for about 30 minutes, she was unable or unwilling to recognize me and waited on other customers right in front of me. Then, while i was still standing right there, she actually paged me over the store intercom. Even the tech was shocked at her behavior. All the while she had said "give me 5 minutes to fill the Rx and it had been filled already. I always say that if u make a mistake, just be nice and its not as bad. Got my flu shot here before work. Pharmacy staff was nice. They were very busy and the assistant was relatively quick. The pharmacist took a little longer, but not so long that it was a burden. Prices may be an issue, but that depends on the consumer. This just seemed like a normal Walgreens. Nothing to special here. read more
