Spring Creek Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy which means they have the ingredients on site to produce medicine. They don't just sell it, they make it. However since their staff is busy doing what they do best - making drugs, they don't really provide all of the other bells and whistles of customer service that you find with the big corporate pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS. My doctor directed me to have my prescription filled here. She didn't send it in electronically, but instead wrote the ingredients on a prescription paper. She suggested I call them first to make sure they had the ingredients before going. I did, but there was some confusion on whether they had the ingredients because of the way I was pronouncing the ingredients and/or my phone was cutting out. Thankfully they had an email address, so I sent them a picture and they replied right away that they could make the medication immediately. I drove to the facility. The woman at the front seemed to be working multiple tasks and wasn't privy to the conversation I had previously on the phone, so we had to go through everything again. Once everything checked out, I had a small wait in the lobby before they came out with a paper white bag with my medicine inside. There were no instructions or "scare sheets" included, so I just had to go by what my doctor discussed in my appointment. In the end, I got a 60 day supply for $150 which seemed quite expensive. I took one, and an hour later, I was so sick. My blood pressure skyrocketed and I ended up with one of the worst headaches I had ever had. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER, but I managed to wait it out. By the next morning, my blood pressure had dropped to a normal range and the excruciating pain in my head subsided. I had an unfortunate experience here and with this overly potent medication. Had I used one of the corporate pharmacies, I would have had a consult with a pharmacist, had a detailed sheet explaining the medication and expected side effects as well as best practices for taking it. In the future, I will ask for this to ensure a layer of protection. read more

Love the pharmacist here and her staff! New to Plano, I have had to have a number of prescriptions compounded. They have been able to communicate with my doctor's office seamlessly and gave my compounded medicines ready within 24 hours. That's 2x faster than my former pharmacy on the east coast. They also use a high grade of compounding materials and you can feel the difference. When I was here in TX two years ago, they compounded some medication for me and I felt so much better! I thought it was my imagination until I asked Cathy Zhang, owner/pharmacist, about it and she explained that their ears different degrees of materials. Spring Creek uses the highest purity level and it shows in how you feel. I cannot recommend this pharmacy highly enough. Even if your medication doesn't need compounding, this is an excellent source for all of your pharmaceutical needs. Their new location is beautiful and easily accessible. The owner/pharmacist Cindy is extremely knowledgeable, public health conscious, compounds medications (many pharmacies do not offer this service) & gives a variety of vaccinations. As an emergency medicine specialist & family physician, I refer all of my patients here because of lower costs, friendly service, patient education, quick response. My family & I get all of our medications & vitamin supplements from Spring Creek Pharmacy. They are the only ones that meet all of my compounding prescriptions. Staff was not friendly at all. They even said "if you do not have the time to wait, do not come today". Cindy was extremely rude and raised her voice several times. When we asked Mervin who the owner was to file a complaint he indicated that he could not share that information. I would not trust my child's care to them at all. The best service I have had from a pharmacy!!! I am not doing Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart, target pharmacy crap ever again. Not even for the drive through!! The Pharmacist ( who is also the owner) is very friendly and very knowledgeable . She will take the time to answer any questions, prescriptions are labeled and packaged neatly. Info such as what the insurance paid and what your co pay is, is available ;wait time is minimal- 5-10 min , super clean... just the best experience I have had getting prescriptions refilled ever!!! I was without insurance and Spring Creek had incredible prices than Walmart, Costco , etc. Even though Spring Creek is not that close to me, the savings is worth the drive. One of my medications is half the price at Spring Creek than Walmart, CVS, etc. The service is very fast. I might wait 5 minutes where Walmart is 45 minutes. The only negative I can mention is they are not open as much as the large chain stores but the pharmacist is running the whole store with not a lot of help. Just plan ahead. A. K. McLellan read more

I had an awesome experience at this pharmacy. Cindy was very helpful. My prescriptions were filled quickly and they weren't over priced like some of the larger pharmacies. They ran out of a nebulizer unit that I needed, so she referred me to their other branch in West Plano where I was able to find one. I was very happy with their service. On August 25 my husband came in after calling to confirm that the pharmacy could indeed fill my script. We were told that you could which is why we choose this pharmacy. However, when he got there he was then told you could only fill 90 of the 180 pills and he should come back for the rest. He was charged for the whole script, bottle was marked for the whole script but was only given half. When I came back for the rest I was told she didn't remember doing that. There were no notes that she had done that. After filing a complaint both on here and with the Better Business Bureau I received a call from the pharmacist that she found the rest of my prescription and that I could come pick it up which I did. I signed a hand written paper on a yellow tablet that I received the remaining 100 pills. Thankful she "remembered" and "located" my script. Additionally, on the Saturday that I went to pick up my second half of the script (when I was told they didn't remember doing that) the store opened 15 minutes late and while I was waiting for the store to open another patron said that they were closed 2 other week days that week without any notice or explanation. 10/26: today I received a call from the pharmacist explaining that she was very unhappy that I would leave such a horrible review where all her patrons could read it. She said she wanted me to take down my review or change it or she would be given no choice but to reply to the post with a picture showing my signature where the other half of the script was actually picked up. Yes, I finally received the rest of the script I paid for, but not without being notified by the BBB that they had already contacted the pharmacy to rectify the situation, not before making 3 trips to the pharmacy to get what I called ahead to ask if they could fill and being told they could fill the entire order. read more
