These people have the worst customer service that you could possibly imagine of speaking pacifically of the pharmacy. They messed up two prescriptions of mine that I paid for and it was the wrong prescription and they wouldn't give me my money back because they said they're not allowed to take prescriptions back when The law states they can't resell them, but they certainly can take them back. They're just absolutely the worst and I've since change pharmacies like it seems everyone else has they should be closing down soon and it'll be their own fault. read more

We had a Covid test scheduled for Saturday at 9:30 am only to drive all the way there and find out the pharmacy is closed on the weekend. This store is a disaster. There is never enough help for customers. The employees that are there are trying to do the best they can but the management needs to do a better job of scheduling and supervising to make sure the store is stocked and manned correctly. read more

This pharmacy is the worst ! I was treated badly because I wanted get brand name medication instead Genetic medication. Genetic medication does not work for me so I wanted to pay with my money and get brand-name he would not allow that to happen. I have been getting this medication for years and I have never had any problem with other Walgreen pharmacies. I don't know what his problem is . I have prescriptions from doctor and i have been getting this medication for over 10 years with same doctor. I posted a review earlier in the month, but it appears to have gone missing. I would avoid this Walgreens and its pharmacy at all costs. It is an absolute disgrace. I need a prescription filled and was told it was incorrectly filled by my Dr. It was not. I went to a different pharmacy, and it was filled. The Attorney General of Maryland should investigate the qualifications of the staff. When the location was a Rite Aid I had zero issues with the staff but now that it is under Walgreens it is a mess. I asked direct questions on prescriptions only to be lied to. People are in need of their medications and this location is a mess. Avoid. read more

What has happened to MY Walgreen's?!? I wrote and pleaded with Walgreen's to build and open this location nearly 20 years ago and, for nearly all of that time, the service has been EXEMPLARY. Now, it has become a complete and utter disappointment. The store clerks no longer greet you as they always did. And the pharmacists, one in particular, have become sullen and rude. One, NJ (he refuses to disclose his actual name, is downright abusive. I think that Ray, the pharmacy manager, tries very hard to serve his clients but I know, from owning my own business, that sometimes your hands can be tied by inadequate managers and rogue employees. When I started coming to the store a year ago, I had only good things to say about it. Now I'm very disappointed. Store management seems to be terrible. Its understaffed the store. It understocks the store. Its computer system does not seem to work. Its app does not work. Pharmacy management seems to delay crucial approvals that waste customer time. Prescriptions are not ready when they say they will be. Lines are slow. It has done away with Saturday and Sunday hours. It closes at 5:30 pm on weekdays, before commuters can get there. This is the worst pharmacy in the Edgewater, Md. I have been doing business here since they opened, but no more! Planning to have my prescriptions transferred back to CVS. There customer service is horrific. On Saturday at 5:53 p.m., they told a drive up customer that they were closed because it was 6:00 p.m. I was standing at the counter waiting for them to find my prescriptions. I told them it was not 6:00 p.m., and they just looked at me like I was crazy. This was always my go to store, but no more. Word to the wise community. Count all your meds to make sure youre getting your full prescription if you are using the Walgreens in Edgewater. Im not one to post disparaging posts about a business unless I have VERY good reason. For the SECOND time in 3 months they shorted me on pills for the SAME medication. The first time I had no recourse as I had picked them up at the drive thru window and didn't discover the HUGE shortage until a week later at home when the patient ran out of meds waaay too soon. . By the way this is a controlled medication that s highly marketable on the street But tonight , same med, patient wass shorted 10 pills. I guess that's better than the 20 before? This time I wised up and counted them before leaving the pharmacy. I went to report online to the pharmacy manager but unfortunately that was the same person who filled the prescription... needless to say Im switching my pharmacy to one I can trust and I have filed a formal complaint with the proper authorities. read more

The pharmacist at the Mitchell's Chance Wallgreens refused to fill my prescriptions after making me jump through hoops requesting me to get letters from my doctors saying that my prescriptions were for me and that they were aware of all the medications that I took. The pharmacist told me that because a different doctor who was with the doctors office signed the prescription. The pharmacist indicated that he felt Iwas "shopping doctors." The pharmacist also told me that I should not be taking "so" many different kinds of medications. The pharmacist also told me that "no one should have that many pills. I have be taking the same medications for over seven years. It took my doctors a long time to figure out what was the best combination of medication to help me. Fist he would tell me he didn't have one of my medications he would have to order it. He did that for several of my medication. I finally called my insurance company to see if the could help me. To comply with the pharmacist's bizarre request's I have my pain doctor send them a letter saying the were aware of all the medications I took. He also requested this of my psychiatrist and even when my doctors complied with his requests he reused to fill my prescription. The pharmacist told me that I have been "Flagged" with Wallgreens and he would no longer fill any prescriptions for me. Because of the pharmacist I was without my pain medication and my depression medication for almost three weeks. I experienced withdrawal symptoms. When I called him to request his name he refused to give me his last name. He told me his name was Alfred D and he refused to tell me his last name. My psychiatrist's name is Doctor Adam Roth,In Annapolis Maryland. My pain Doctor is Doctor. Brian Kahan, in Annapolis, Maryland. You are more than welcome to contact them. I feel that Mr. Alfred D. Caused me pain and suffering by not filling my prescriptions in a timely manner. Mr. Alfred D is not a medical doctors and he should decide what medications I can and can not take. He treated me very poorly insinuating that I was trying to get more medicine that I was supposed to. I don't think that he has the right to override my doctors. He is very smug and condescending With no concern for the welfare of the people requesting prescriptions that their doctors have sent to him. Finally my doctors sent my prescriptions to another pharmacy. (CVS) this was the third set of prescriptions that the wrote. I do not feel that Mr. Alfred D is a competent pharmacist. He is not pleasant. He makes you feel like you are bothering him. He is difficult to understand and if you ask him repeate he acts like he is insulted. I don't under why he chose the profession of a pharmacist when he clearly does not communicate well with people. I feel at the lest he should be reprimanded or sent to further training to teach him to work well with the public and doctors. Please advise me of the results of my complaint. The pharmacy used to be fantastic. Due to my insurance I had to go to another pharmacy for a while and was thrilled when I could return to Walgreens. This specific location, what USE to be friendly, quick is now unprofessional, rude and unreasonably slow. The first few times, giving the benefit of the doubt, I figured it was just unfortunate luck. But nope, it doesn't matter what time of day, you'll sit in the drive through, no less than 15 minutes. read more

The worst experience , first I have to wait for 30 Minutes in the drive through because the person in front has issues. And I could not back up as there are two other cars in line. Then when I get through the RX won't be ready even though it was called in a day ago. Call Medicare and have them pull out of Whalgrens a complete disaster never had issues with costco or CVS. Never enough staff at wahlgrens and what they have is inefficient. Looks like they want to be cheap and not take care of the customer. God save you if you are sick and need RX. You will get sicker dealing with Wahlgrens. read more

When the pharmacy doesn't have the medication I need they will either order it and it will be there in 2 days, or if I can't/won't wait 2 days, they'll call other local stores and find it for me. I have had dozens of prescriptions filled here and keep coming back because of the service. read more

The Edgewater pharmacy is absolutely terrible! It used to be good, but the past few times I've been to pick up prescriptions, there has been a vehicle parked or waiting for a long period of time and I've ended up having to go inside to get my rx. One time it was because another customer had an "insurance issue" and this last time, they let someone hang out while their script was being filled. Totally defeats the purpose of a drive-thru/convenience window, right? I don't know what the female employee's name is, but I think she's either the pharmacist or pharmacy manager, and boy, does she have a bad attitude. They ALL stopped what they were doing (i.e.stocking etc.) and offered their 1st person involvement. I didn't do no star because there is no option, But I am quite upset I starter couponing a couple weeks back and Walgreens is where I have been trying to coupons however the first time I was there I know it was going to take time so I let other I line who had less items go first the. The cashier who was very friendly assisted me until we figured out how my coupons work. However the manager, I would probably try to avoid this store as much as possible, the manager doesn't like assisting either his staff nor the customer every time I go in there he seems irritated. And what hit me the most was when he saw me going to the photo station to pick up some pictures he started murmuring and I actually heard him say "omg, I she here again, I swear I don't have any patience for this one today" when I coupons and my coupons don't work I simply don't buy so not quite sure why the manager had to act that way. Specially when he saids things loud enough for the customer to hear. I was very upset and embarrassed that someone said something about me in that way. I have seen other things he does with his staff that I would really like to share but not through here. But one thing I do know I will not try as much as I can to not go to that store.
