If I could give zero for customer service I would. They do a lot of volume here but do not understand that time could pass more pleasantly for everyone without being rude. I have no idea who trains them, but they are HOSTILE. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that the pharmacists themselves are the most affordable compounding pharmacists around. Bloomington Pharmacy is much nicer to people and they do compounding but they are pricier. If you can afford it, go there instead. This pharmacy frequently does NOT notify me that my prescription is NOT ready or why. They always blame me for their lack of communication so I try to build this into my refill process. They never have the right sized plunger / syringe combo for my liquid medicine. Two other plusses are they are 24/7 and they have a drive through. The customer service though, especially over the phone is absolutely horrendous so do not deal with them if you are vulnerable or sensitive - take reinforcements. I recently found out this is the busiest Walgreens in the state of Minnesota. It shows. I live extremely close to this location so this is where I get all my prescriptions. I otherwise try to avoid the place because it is a ZOO. It seems like every time I go, day, night, weekday, weekend, holiday, whatever, the line at the pharmacy is at least 10 people deep and despite the workers hustling, it moves slow. The drive thru is not much better usually with cars backed up. There are several Walgreens locations nearby. If you're in your car and have the option- I'd pick a different one over this one. read more

I never write bad reviews, I have given them way too many chances. Here it goes. I would avoid going to this location. The worst place to go get your prescriptions, you have to wait super long time to get them on the phone (you need anxiety meds before you start calling them), very rude on the phone. The drive through to get your meds is terribly tight, they have two spots but only use one. We have been going there for two years, they have new rules so If you need your meds earlier they will not fill it until you're there in person so more waiting time. Not sure if it's the location that sucks or just the way Walgreens does business. Definitely understaffed and over worked. If you can use CVS, I would go there. read more

This is the best 24 hour pharmacy. They are always helpful and you can actually call and talk to a human if needed. CVS left me a message to call and I couldn't get through. I finally called the front check out. They told me that CVS no longer takes calls in the pharmacy.....‍!! I never went back to CVS. read more

Pharmacy services are poor at best - waited 15 minutes to get my sister's prescriptions, they told me one was still in progress and said it would be a few minutes. I paid and then within 2 minutes they announced over the loudspeaker my sister's final prescription was ready. So now I am waiting behind 10 people in line for the final prescription. Went to pickup a refill which had been requested earlier in the week. A partial refill was available but quantity would not get me through an upcoming trip. I was told I could get the remainder at another pharmacy. I called the pharmacist and asked why I was making the trip vs common practice for a pharmacy to get product from another pharmacy for the customer. This is the second time I tried to fill an expensive med for my heart. After 2 tries of it not coming in I went to the pharmacy in person and was told by Dana the pharmacist that they don't make any money of of it through Medicare so they hope I go elsewhere to fill it. He actually said I wasn't worth the time to fill it. They acted like it was a great favor to give me 5 pills (paid for them) since I was out for over a week and I noticed the teck that filled it used her hand to pour out the meds and fill the 5 pills by touching each pill. This was the same teck that was coughing and sneezing. Great. As a side note I had to cut my vacation short to drive home from a friends lake place to get the pills that should have been filled two weeks prior. I can see why Walgreens is going under. I would give 0 stars, Today 12/5/2023, @ 1200 Noon Scheduled a simple flu vaccination appointment via the Walgreens App, did all the forms online. I was waiting for 40 Min to get a damn flu shot WTF! Takes so damn long. if I don't get called..I'm fucking leaving....this is ridiculous.... already left, no one helped me.. then finally waiting 40 min this nurse who was supposed to give me the shot asked me for paperwork ?! I said, no one in the front counter when I initially checked in the front desk never gave me any paperwork. I told the nurseI completed the questionnaire online. So why do I need to do one now? Doesn't make sense to me so she just shut the door and ignored me...wow....then she has the audacity to ask me to cut in line..where other people were waiting and have a person give me paperwork...No thank you..and I couldn't flag anyone who was working behind the counter to help me it was insanely busy, so I just left good bye. It occurred to me that during my two years being a resident of Minnesota, I neither set foot in a Walgreens, nor a CVS. For all my drugstore needs, I ended up at Walmart, ShopKo (rest its shopping soul), and HyVee. Yesterday, I broke this crazy record. After having dinner in Edina, I did a quick search and found this Walgreens four minutes away by car. I headed over in the rain. There was plenty of parking. I pulled into a spot, parked, and walked in. This Walgreens is open 24 hours a day. I love convenience. There was a decent sale on nail polish. I bought a bottle of Revlon nail polish for $2. I also got some bottled water. All Christmas items are reduced. I liked looking at the festive Christmas decorations, chocolates, and more. As I was looking at cereal, there was a staff member ripping sales tags off the shelves and placing them in a plastic bag. I looked at some of the tags that she hadn't ripped off yet. They expire at the end of the evening. So, if you are a shopper who comes into the store after she has removed these sales tags, you won't know whether the items are on sale thanks to her. It would have made more sense to have ripped them off at 11 pm, rather than when I was there, which was probably 6 pm. Unfortunately, a couple of aisles by the snacks smelled of urine. Ah, the joys of having a store that is open all the time. Such a turnoff! The man at the checkout was nice. I paid for the items with cash (yes, miracles happen). He bagged my items. I wished him a great evening and left. I'd come back for more nail polish deals. I'd avoid the urine-smelling aisles, though, until that issue is addressed. (492) read more

Waiting an hour in line is not ok. It's just not. Not calling my name when my Rx is done.. is not ok. Being rude is not ok. If i had any other option id go there. Had photos printed at this Walgreens for the first time. Order was ready for pick up within the stated time and when I picked it up, I glanced at it to make sure it was the correct photo collage. Later, I noticed one of the photos was out of alignment with the rest of them, so I re-did the order and sent it for processing. When I arrived back at the store to collect it, I told the cashier that I was picking up a photo order, and there was an issue with the one I had collected earlier so I wanted to exchange them. She more or less barked at me - immediately saying that she needed to contact leadership - since if it's anything to do with cameras (it wasn't, it was a simple photo order for pick up) then that is what she has to do. She pretty much cut me off at that point and had me just wait while she called a supervisor. The supervisor saw what had happened and allowed me to take the replacement for free. Overall, the customer service here is very unfriendly and although I have plenty more photo orders to place, I will not be doing it at Walgreens. I only switched from another Walgreens location because they could never notify me my order was ready - but perhaps this is an issue with all Walgreens, especially when dealing with photos. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I do not write reviews but I am a new mother and have preeclampsia. I have had to wait over 2 hours to get an urgent med filled for my blood pressure that I was told would be done in 20 mins. I gave birth 6 days ago and they have made me stand through the line twice (10 plus people or more) because my meds weren't done. Not sit and wait. Not call me up. Stand in line with ankles the size of my calf's. This is after we waited in the drive through line for 30 mins as well and got told to go to the hospital if we expect faster service (which is where we came from) then the dude Hungs up on us at the window. This Walgreens is an absolute sh*t show. Disorganized. Rude. And have no care for their patients. Do not go. read more

I did not get a notification that 2 of my 3 items were not in stock, but I was informed that my order was ready for pick up. After looking in the bag, you can imagine my disappointment. I reached out to customer service, chat option, I was not rude, but I was asking for options to fulfill the missing items in my order. On top of not providing me with a resolution, the Walgreens team member abruptly closed the chat room because of a "delay in my response." Sorry, but that is a complete lie, as I was continually typing, and only a few seconds passed since my last message was sent. 30 mins just to get a passport photo taken. Why? Because one store clerk is MIA and there was no customer when I was there, yet the other clerk decides to just stand there instead of helping me out. $17 for just 2 passport size pictures and the quality isn't even good. Scheduled an appt for the original Covid -19, tried to give the booster, Scheduled another appt, Selected Moderna and selected the 2 nd dose, was informed that that location only does Phizer and so it goes on and on. if I could give one star I would.. I called yesterday making sure I could pick up my prescription on my way to work (as this location is 24hrs) the next morning (today 1/24). I was told "no problem, your prescription is filled and ready to be picked up". well I call this morning to triple check and the rude lady tells me that they are completely out of my medication. I know there is a shortage of stimulant medication, but I shouldn't have been told my prescription was FILLED AND READY for me to pick up... I explained to her that with the shortage of stimulant medication you're allowed up to 2 transfers (in case this happens) She then proceeded to tell me I'm "wrong and that has never been a thing" she told me I now need to call me doctor and have them send in a whole NEW prescription to a different WALGREENS!!! I asked her why I was told this and why the app said my prescription is ready to be picked up and she said "sorry can't help you, talk with your doctor... I work in health care and I understand the shortag, what I don't understand is the lack of communication between the store employees and the rudeness of them employees. if you're out of a medication? DONT TELL ME IT IS READY TO BE PICKED UP AND THEN HAVE AN ATTITUDE WITH ME WHEN I SIMPLY TOLD YOU EVEN YOUR APP SAYS I CAN TRANSFER THIS MEDICATION UP TO TO TIMES IF THIS SCENARIO WERE TO HAPPEN.... She then hung up on me. I will never be going here again. I had my prescriptions sent here because it's close to my work and convenient for me to be able to swing by on my breaks. I will be going back to my old Walgreens in Anoka. They have always been wonderful and if something like this did ever happen, they take care of it for the customer without hesitation or rudeness. I have also had making patients that we send their medications to after a proc complain about how poorly the pharmacy staff and timely manner they have. Avoid if you can. I always check other Yelp reviews before I start my own and I saw that the average reviews for almost all Walgreens in my area were around two stars. For Yelp, a review of two stars or less is very low indeed. Most of these low reviews were based on poor customer service as is mine. I went to this particular Walgreens to get a Covid vaccination booster. I proceeded to the pharmacy area which was very small and crowded. When a vacancy at one of the service windows occurred I went to the this window to check in. I was told to go to aisle 30 but when I went to look for aisle or window 30 I found that none of the 4 windows were numbered. When a customer departed one of the vacant windows, I walked up but the service representative promptly walked away. I waited and waited while other customers came and went to the other windows and staff milled around on the other side mostly servicing the drive up windows. No one even looked at me. I felt as if I was bc wearing my invisibility cloak. Finally I shoved myself in front of another customer at an adjoining window and complained. I was admonished that I should have approached a window with some one behind it I did but the person walked off never to return. As others have commented the staff situation in the pharmacy area is chaotic. Well this is my tale of woe. I did get my vaccination so Mission Accomplished as a former President said. There are so many reviews which mirror mine in terms of poor customer service that it is clear Walgreens has a systemic management problem. Unfortunately CVS appears no better. read more

I really enjoy this Walgreens due to its 24/7 pharmacy with a drive thru options but with that being said, there was a younger gentlemen who used to help me now and then and was very kind and always made my trips to this Walgreens go much smoother. Apologies if I spell or have the wrong name... I could only get a glance through the drive thru window... but I think his name is jarod/jarad/Jason/Jared etc. He no longer is there and was, as I said, always so friendly and positive.... I'm not sure what this Walgreens did (ei fired him, sent him someplace else etc) the management really messed up because he was an excellent example of what a proper and dedicated employee should be. read more

I called them and asked about my prescription, and the guy on the other line was very rude and abrasive. I said "so 5 prescriptions should be ready when it's all said and done?" he replied with "NO, I told you that the other one was too early!" making me feel very insignificant. If you must use this location's pharmacy please do it late at night! Daytime stuff are very rude and not very helpful. I came in yesterday to pick up my prescriptions which were called in by the urgent care Doctor. One of them wasn't ready so they told me to wait to be called. When they finally did, I went to the window and was met by two rude females telling me to go back in the line which had grown long again after I originally left. Who trains these females on customer service???? There was a male on duty who said he was calling my Doctor about another one of my prescriptions which they didn't fill up. When I left, I thought I had all my medications only to find out that they didn't fill it and never mentioned anything to me about it. It's so frustrating dealing with these kind of fools that have no respect for customers. I'm tempted to think they are racist but there was a black female that was equally as rude!!!!!!!! read more

I will never return to this Walgreens. They used to be really great and helpful. Now they are rude and uninterested. They gave me the wrong diabetes product without checking my profile. The pharmacy at this location made an error on my prescription by not providing the correct strength. When I called to inquire about the mistake, I was told to return and the they would correct the problem at no extra charge. When I got to the pharmacy to get the correct prescription, I was charged an extra fee. This was after waiting in line for a long time to get the original prescription and then having to wait to get the corrected prescription. read more

They have one pharmacist there (younger) is very rude to the customers. I have overheard him and has also spoken the same way to me if you ask him any questions. I called last night to make sure my prescription was ok and when it would be ready. I asked him about the drive thru later in the evening. He said it was always open. It wasn't. Drove around the back and it was closed. Had to drive around the building and go inside. There were at least 10 people in line and people in line were actually leaving. They never have enough help at the front windows. Sometimes there is only one person and also one at the drive-thru window. They have a high turnover there and you can tell because they have a hard time finding the medicine in the buckets. One guy was running around in scrubs, which should not be allowed. They are not in the medical field. Why don't they have them wear same color shirts with a name tag. That would help. I have also had an issue with the price on my prescriptions. It depends on how they enter the information. I have had a difference of over $50 on the same medicine....When I told them that, they advised me that I need to call Walgreens headquarters? Why? They should fix it and refund me for all the overcharges. Only reason I go here is because it is 24hrs. I believe Richfield is as well, but a really dumpy area. I don't think any of them are much better. CVS in Target is horrible and the pharmacists are really rude. read more

Pharmacy staff is pleasant and they take the time to understand what customers need. Today I switched back to Walgreens because the staff at another big pharma chain were kind of grumpy and I had to drive to undesirable locations to find availability of my prescription. Pricing is similar between the two. Looking forward to going back at Walgreens. Only reason for four stars is that their drive through should be rebuilt as it's too tight for bigger vehicles. If there is an epicenter of dysfunction and chaos, a black hole of customer non-service and a place that should send you screaming into the night, or at least screaming to the new, perfectly FINE CVS pharmacy RIGHT NEXT DOOR - this is that place. This pharmacy is so ROYALLY screwed up, it makes me want to wait an hour at my hospital pharmacy being spit up on by babies running 103. Now - The groceries/condoms/candy/smokes part of the store is fine, and the late night cashiers friendly and cool. But the pharmacy - NEVER EVER AGAIN. Denny, or whatever his name is, in the pharmacy, is awful. Condescending and just rude. And my Dr sent my script two days ago and it was refillable at the time but they didn't even order it until Thursday night so that it comes Monday. Could you have any more DISREGARD for customers and live saving medication? Nope. They absolutely could not. *edit* what I need is because of the intense physical therapy I'm doing, it's not a narcotic but they act like having to wait 3 days to get something that requires a schedule to keep above the pain and be like 'well it didn't get ordered til Thursday after 8 so it won't be here until Monday,' so blasé about it, when the prescription had actually been there since Wednesday and it was fillable at that time, it is just apparent that they really don't care much for their customers. This Walgreen's is okay, though I prefer the CVS next door, not in the least because Walgreens' laminate floors are pretty gross compared to CVS' carpet. (Side note: Walgreen is clearly threatened by its neighbor, because when CVS was first going up, Walgreens strategically put up a sign that read, "Proudly serving Edina for 40 years!" Classy.) Still, as a thrift shopper, I appreciate Walgreens' competitive sales -- it makes it easier and more convenient to buy on the cheap with CVS trying to undercut it right next door. As long as I have this competition, I can overlook the long lines that often plague this store. read more

The OPEN 24 HRS is the biggest draw for this store for me. Like all Walgreens I have been to, pharmacy service is erratic and the wait can extend from 15 minutes to over an hour. But the store is filled with all kinds of interesting stiff to explore during your wait time if you're in the mood for that. On one of my visits they had over 7 kinds of toilet bags to choose from. Pretty impressive. The drive thru pharmacy service is great. If your order is ready that is. Otherwise you can wait in your car and drive thru again. read more

This Walgreens is the most unorganized mess I have ever witnessed!! I had to drive around the building 3 times to try and get my daughter's prescription filled after she had a tonsillectomy. And they still forgot to fill her pain medication!! After being asked to come in and get it I had to stand there and wait an additional 30 minutes before it was ready. Inadequate staffing, long waits, and rude untrained retail staff make filling a prescription a very unpleasant experience. My wife was treated abusively by a young store assistant manager after waiting for fifteen minutes. She remarked on the long wait, and he launched into a civics lecture on the rights of store customers. Then he went to get her prescription, brought back three prescriptions labelled for another customer and threw them in a bag and She could well have walked away with the wrong prescription except that her prescription didn't cost $85. He then denied that her prescription was there.When she demanded to speak with a pharmacy staff member that person had to come back twice before she was given the proper prescription. The whole matter took over 25 minutes. My advice is to take your business to another pharmacy. read more
