As a drugstore that is open until 12am it was disappointing to be told their bathroom was not open to the public. It was 11pm and i was shopping. This is for online and in-store experience: Online: Pages were sluggish to load and served photos of other products I wasn't searching for, like SPF facial moisturizer with accompanying photo for sunless tanning lotion. Rinse and repeat, page after page. I finally placed my online order, getting 30% off for Cyber Week promotion, 8% cash back on Retail Me Not and a 40% off offer on mix & match Neutrogena products + a hairdryer. In-Store: I waited for text confirmation but when I got to the store, they couldn't load their site nor had they received my order. They couldn't give me the same promotional discounts but I did get a double side-serving of smug indifference (thanks Brittany). Thank goodness for assistant store manager Wesley: I discovered later that I'd left my credit card behind and he was genuinely helpful when I called then stopped in to pick it up. Wesley said, "It's always nice when you have the opportunity to help people." Awww. Wesley gets 5 stars & bumps up the overall experience to an average 3-star rating. I am new to town and last night Yolanda, the Pharmacist couldn't have been nicer. She was very accommodating and helpful, taking time to show me diff. products. Tonight I had to go back and Jared, the tech and Pharmacist on duty, I forget her name were both very understanding and happy to help. I've used it for years and the one time there is an issue with the prescription I've filled here for years, I call to inquire about it and am treated like dirt. On Jan. 10 2021, I went to Walgreens in Exeter and met with the assistant Store Manager, Wesley, to get help for an 82 year old woman in public housing , Ellen, to purchase a rolling push vehicle with seat and storage capability. Wesley first talked with Ellen on the phone on model types available. Once she had chosen a model, I brought her to the store and met with Wesley for at least 40 minutes. He was very helpful to Ellen and helped her order her desired model. Wesley took a lot of time with Ellen over two days to allow her to purchase the best elderly push vehicle for her needs. I waited for 20 mins and once I got up to the counter some guy steps up to counter, interrupts the woman who is helping me, and what does she do... starts helping him and taking care of his questions and prescription!!! Constantly amazed by the unprofessional and disorganized pharmacy staff. For over a year, they have continued to botch my prescription which is on an automatic refill. I've been given the wrong prescription on more than one occasion, in addition to receiving a phone call letting me know my prescription is ready, only to arrive at the pharmacy and be met with confused faces and excuses as to why they haven't filled it yet. Stopped to get a few things, amongst them a photo print. The clerk asked if I would like a bag and she started to put the items in a paper bag. I said excuse me, would you mind giving me a plastic bag as it's raining and I don't want the photo to get ruined. She said she couldn't give me plastic because Exeter is switching to paper. Sick as a dog and I go to pick the medication the Dr called in hours before. When I get to the drive thru the guy tells me they have nothing. After a few minutes he comes over with a piece of paper and says the Dr called it in by didn't leave your DOB. I asked a simple question, but "did you call the Dr back to get it?" OUTSTANDING PHARMACY STAFF WENT ABOVE & BEYOND (AT NIGHT) TO LOCATE UNUSUAL (OUT-OF-STOCK) NEW PRESCRIPTION NEEDED IMMEDIATELY !!!!! I have always been very happy with the service at the Walgreens Exeter drive-thru pharmacy, because the staff was courteous and would give biscuits to my Corgi, Griffin, who would accompany me. But when I really needed some outstanding service from them, Janet, the pharmacy assistant & Joe, the pharmacist, really came through for me!!! They located an unusual, out-of-stock drug, and Janet drove 30 miles at night, to the nearest Walgreens, to retrieve this uncommon prescription, which was needed for an evening dose, following an evening discharge of a family member from the hospital. I went in to pick up my X-Mas cards and the person who was supposed to be behind the photo counter ignored me for 10 minutes. In fact, I was ignored by 2 separate staffers. When she deigned to show up, she then tried to charge me twice for my order, which was already paid. This is the second time I've found it all but impossible to get someone to help me when I went to pay. After about 7, the cashiers are almost never where they are supposed to be. read more

This store's pharmacy has gone down hill drastically over the past year. It's been a steady continual decline. There seems to have been a high turn-over rate of pharmacy staff. The staff now is so inferior to those that ran it before. They just cut the hours back too, they use to be 24 hours - which was very convenient. Now they have nothing that makes them stand apart from the other pharmacies - in fact they are now far behind the others. Sad, it was a good place - but I can no longer recommend it. Their store in Epping is much better, and seems to have their act together. If I were to guess, I'd say that the store in Exeter is going to close. It's old, run down and the most of the good staff is gone. Too many other choices than to put up with incompetent staff - especially when they are dealing with medication. NEVER, EVER use Walgreen's of Exeter for any Rx of controlled medications! Yesterday, my hubby hand-carried a bunch of Rx's to this pharm (drive-in window) as I was discharged from the hospital. The ONE controlled Rx was "lost" when he went to pick them up an hour later. All staff INSISTED that they'd NEVER gotten it, and that they'd "looked everywhere" for it. The Pharmacist called the Dr., but he couldn't legally re-issue it. My hubby said he wasn't leaving until they found it, and that they "would have to have the POLICE remove him." When the tech heard the word "police," she busied herself elsewhere and suddenly FOUND the missing Rx! She claimed it had been "hidden" in the drive-in box under the rock--when my hubby specifically placed that Rx ON TOP of the other Rx's in the box, and there must have been 30 subsequent transactions in the box when he left. But what else could she claim? She'd have gone to jail if she admitted sliding THAT Rx aside (thinking we'd just get Dr. authorization for it anyway), and having it filled later, only to take it home. The Pharmacist gave her a strange look when she "found" the Rx, but nothing was said to my hubby about investigating this incident (that's what the VIDEO cameras are for), or immediately suspending that Tech until they found out what happened. read more
