Donna Walsh, on the left, is bar none, the best hygenist on this planet. 50 years ago I had periodontal disease & learned quickly what it took to have and maintain good dental health. Having cleanings 3-4 year made a difference. During these years Ive met many hygenists & have often chosen my Dentist because of them. From the time my daughter told me she found the best dentist ever two yrs ago, to the electric toothbrush I won at local raffle had me excited to arrive for my first appt today. Marion got me settled and took xrays then Dr Jacqueline Bonci did the most thorough & relaxed exam I've ever had experienced. After 10 month since last cleaning I was encouraged my gums were in good shape. However, my teeth are not such good news. Getting not good news in the empathetic way Dr Bonci delivered it made it easy to digest and accept. I had planned to go to Tufts Medical School for 5-6 implants because of cost. After today's experience I feel more confident that never there is a way through this. I'm staying here and though I may only get 2-3 implants I want this work done by Dr Bonci. Very grateful for the care received including the office staff. read more

I am NOT reviewing the dental services provided by Dibona Dental Group as I have never used their services, I am reviewing the character of Dr. Elizabeth Dibona and her husband (Tad Dibona?). The picture attached is the view of their new dental office from my front yard. The Dibona's promised me a fence to the street when the town planning board came to my property 3+ years ago to review our concerns. However, we did not get it in writing so shame on us. We have asked them to honor their verbal agreement several times over the past months and while initially they told us they could not afford it, now they are simply saying they will not do it. As my family's 'dentist' for several years, we found the actual cleaning service to be fine and moderately priced. The administration service drove us to leave this group. Regardless of the number of time we requested the same hygienist, it was never observed. And they cancelled appointments three separate times, after waiting months to be seen. Overall, the front desk staff was tough, making the decision that much easier. read more

They cancel more appointments than they keep. In two years, they have cancelled/requested to reschedule three appointments. Where you're scheduling appointments six-months out and rearranging schedules to the appointment work, only to have it repeatedly blown off, it makes the appointment process pointless. read more

Very personable staff. Had a filling and cleaning with minimal stress and as much comfort as possible. Everyone was great, and explained everything along the way. Coming from aspen dental (the corporate HELL of dentistry) this place was a dream! With or without insurance their prices were fair and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I have been going here for 6 years and never missed an appointment. Spending thousands on repairs. They used to send email reminders except for the last time - so I didn't show. After that I was treated like a two year old and was harassed with phone calls reminding me i a nasty tone of appointments. I have tried to make a follow up appointment and they tell me they will call me back but never do. It's too bad - I really liked the hygenists. Note that the dentists never seem to stay more than a year or two except or Dr E, Dibona - says something about the practice. Needless to say I am no longer going back. read more

I had been a patient for over 6 years. Initially, they were great. More recently, it seems to have become more about money than patient care. I went in for two filings and was told I needed two crowns instead. One crown i went for. It was uncomfortable and too wide. I asked the dentist to look at it and please fix it, as i could not eat comfortably, and flossing was painful. Without looking at my tooth, she told me I needed a root canal. I again stated that i would like her to please look at my tooth. She refused to talk to me about anything other than a root canal. One week after charging me for a crown!!!! I have since seen another dentist and an orthodontist and had xrays. I was told that I did not need a root canal, that the crown was made too wide. The second tooth, was charged as a "core build up", which turned out somehow to be a molar cut down to the point where there was a huge gap between my two teeth. This made chewing on that side excessively painful. When i asked my dentist why she cut the tooth down so much, she said she was prepping it for a crown. And then there was the dentist reprimanding the student for using to much floss for a patient. She was actually told to use an inch less. :( read more

Ok, going to the dentist is not anyone's favorite thing to do, but DiBona Dental is far and away the best care I have ever received. Recently, I was set to have a root canal on a capped tooth and at the last minute I got cold feet and was ready to postpone. Dr. Paulk and Marion were just wonderful. Patiently they walked me through the process assured me that having it done now was the wise choice. With utmost care they took care of my wonky tooth and I didn't feel a thing. When the novacaine wore off I was still pain free and my tooth feels perfect again. They called me the next day to see how I was doing. Marion was so caring. Dr. PAULK works with DiBona and has his own practice specializing in root canals. He is a perfectionist and a master of his craft. I can't say enough positive things about my experience. I had been a patient for years and thought very highly of them until the past couple of years. I moved away from the area and my new dentist saw that a crown that DiBona dental had done was not placed correctly. DiBona graciously agreed to redo the crown at no cost to me, which I was pleased about because it is more than an hour away from where I moved to. On the final visit the dentist drilled so much of what little tooth I had remaining to the point I felt immediate pain. She shrugged it off when I mentioned it and had a "student" put the new crown on which fortunately was done correctly this time. I have had nothing but pain from this tooth whenever I bite down on it and my only alternative is to have a root canal (hopefully through the crown) as to not incur further expense. They pressured me into the crown in the first place after many years saying the tooth was fragile and "might" break at some point. They also said I have a cavity in my back molar and tried twice to get me to fill it so they could at least get some money out of me while I was there having them correct the crown. My new dentist said there is no cavity. The practice is a zoo now with a bunch of students running around. They falsely diagnose issues that aren't there to drum up business. Stay away! read more

I have been going to this dentist office for many years. I have always had very positive experiences and can say Dr. Dibona, Dr. Elizabeth and Dr. Winters are exceptional. Also John is the best hygienist I have ever gone to see. I recently had a negative experience with one of the newer dentists (there are many new dentists who come and go and most have been great) and left feeling like my concerns were diminished and like he couldn't wait to leave the room. I called back after leaving feeling so frustrated and spoke with Karen N who could not have been more pleasant and understanding about my concerns and encouraged me to come back to get a second opinion with one of the other dentists. Trips to the dentist are not usually anticipated with feelings of happiness, but the doctors, hygienists and staff at this office make the experience as enjoyable as possible. I had a recommended root planing on half of my mouth at this practice. I have highly sensitive teeth and was given an over abundance of topical analgesic which burned my gum so severely that I needed to go on a regimen of antibiotics. Since the hygienist is not licensed to give novocaine needles they call for an in house dentist to come administer it. I was unfortunate enough to get Dr. Mark DiBona who was incredibly rough with my already numb cheek and with the needles that I was swollen and bruised for 9 days in addition to the burn from the analgesic. My jaw was so sore from the needles that I could barely open my mouth to eat for 5 of the 9 days of pain. I called to explain the result of my experience and they didn't have much to say except sorry that happened. Have other work needing to be done but my trust has been compromised and cannot return to this practice. While my gum is now healed from the burn, the skin still isn't right and I fear will be permanently damaged from this experience. read more
