This is the best pharmacy ever. I get all my, and my husbands prescriptions from this pharmacy. Mainly through the drive up. Whenever I call this store on the phone, once I navigate through a tricky automated AI phone system, the phone reps are so very helpful, and go out of their way to find me answers. Every month, I worry that some of my most important meds will be out of stock, but their pharmacists know I am going to get them, and they make sure they are on hand. When I transferred all our business over from the Bartells at Redondo, I was afraid that I was losing the best people around. But I was really impressed with how smoothly and efficiently all prescriptions , transferred. I don't do many reviews, but when I see a pharmacy doing exceptional work, especially in a tough location, and neighborhood, I go out of my way for the review, and the pharmacy. Have been using this pharmacy for many years now. Staff is always helpful and friendly; however, sometimes the wait time on the phone is lengthy and occasionally you get cut off while waiting and have to call back. I'm blind in one eye and can no longer use the drive through feature so have to request a delivery to my home. It has been very helpful. I hope this location will continue to be supported by the corporation. It would be a disaster if it were to close. read more

This Walgreens was easy to access from either direction, which I appreciated. They had all the usual essentials from pharmacy, public restroom, and even a photo station that worked. The store was well-stocked and clean during my visit. That said, there weren't a lot of employees around if you had questions or needed assistance. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and a food truck, making it feel a bit chaotic and crowded, which I did not like. This Walgreens has been taken over by the homeless they don't carry cigarettes anymore cause the homeless keep breaking in and stealing them he homeless has robbed the cash machine he liquor cabinet multiple times they stole all the baskets so we can even shop there. Every time I go there new employees and not to mention the pharmacy pick up window there's usually only two people working there they look at you but don't think to let the person waiting that they see you and will be with you asap nothing. I wish this Walgreens wasn't closest to my house it really sucks! This is the worst Walgreens I've ever been too! Unfriendly and unwelcome staff. It felt like I was bothering them to pick up my photo order. I waited at the counter, a staff came and didn't even look at me and ask what I needed. I understand customer service and retail isn't the most fun job, but at least a sign of acknowledging my existence would be nice. If I could give zero stars to the pharmacy I would. I recently moved to this area and had my doctor send my new prescription to this pharmacy because it's super close to my home. I walk in on 7/26 to pick it up. I wait 15 minutes at the counter before someone FINALLY asks if I need help (no, I'm just standing here to stand here). I proceed to tell them who I am and give them my info. They pull up my prescription and tell me the name of it. I agree and hand them my insurance card. "Oh. Molina. We don't accept your insurance..." (I'm visibly confused because I've never been to a pharmacy that doesn't accept all insurances-only tells you if your insurance covers your meds). She then says, "Places like WalMart takes your insurance." (At this point I'm livid because I waited 15 minutes for them to tell me this and I was never told my I sirnace wasn't allowed here). "You'll need to call Walmart and have them call us to transfer it." I call Walmart and Walmart lets me know it might be 24-48 hours before I hear back. I finally hear back and Walmart says, "they said they don't have anything there for you and they've never heard of you..." ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME!? YOU ARE THE ONES THAT TOLD ME TO CALL WALMART AND HAVE THEM CALL YOU TO TRANSFER! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? So now, I've got to wait Lord knows how long for my doctor to get back to me about re-sending my prescription to Walmart so that I can finally have relief from my damn Tourettes ticks. It's a reeeeeal good thing the meds aren't life or death. 0/0 do not recommend. They are rude here and act as though you're below them if you don't have an A+ well known insurance plan. And to tell me to call another pharmacy and have them call them to transfer the prescription they very clearly had for me and then turn around and act as though my prescription never existed? This review is 100% JUST for the photo center. "Q" in the photo center has been there for a while and has saved my butt from photo mistakes. She is always super helpful and knows what she is doing. I love coming here and seeing her. I know she will get what I want done. Give this girl a raise! She is the only reason I use Walgreens for my photos. It's a good location for me, a few blocks from where I live. If I want pharmacy items I can go there, hair care, beauty, movie snacks and drinks they are there and the staff normally welcomes you into the store. This location is usually busy. If you need cash, they have a Alaska Federal Credit Union machine there. I usually just use their cash back feature upon check out. They have a rewards card that you can apply to your check out ticket. Which has saved me money. read more

Last night I waited 90 minutes... then when only one caller was ahead of me. It was 6pm and store closed. This photo is from real time... I am Still on hold. The message changed from "one caller ahead of you" to "staff is answering other calls" Their lunchtime is approaching at 1:30pm. I am doomed. The drive through is only one lane. Not sure if vacuum tube system is broken... or they choose to have just one lane. The turnover per car in the drive through is often over 20 minutes. We often are in line over an hour in the drive through. When we get to the window... our interaction takes very few minutes. Update While I was doing this review, Walgreens pharmacy answered my call after nearly 2 hours on hold. My problem was swiftly dealt with... and I was off the call in a few minutes. The store has been hit hard by covid & current times and shoplifting & robbery. I am patient & I very much empathize with their hardships. I just would like for their pharmacy to put the medical needs of patients over the store side of the business. Some of our medications are life support. Some need to be tapered up and down ... to simply be out of a medication is very dangerous and frightening to most patients. The on hold system needs updating & the drive through needs both lanes. This dump needs to be closed - yesterday wouldn't be soon enough! Our insurance forces us to use this hole so we've been with them for years but in the past 6 months, this pit to Hades has, basically, decided to set it's own hours & days. What's that? Your refill is due & you need it now? Like me, if you don't have a certain med, you can have a seizure? TOO F***ING BAD BECAUSE THEIR "PART TIME" PHARMACIST CAN'T WORK EVERY SINGLE DAY & WE HAVE NEVER OPENED ON A SUNDAY" that was the excuse the FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON location(28817 Military Rd) gave me because even if pharmacist decided to work a few hours, you'd never know because the pharmacy employees are instructed NOT TO ANSWER THE PHONE! Walgreens considers us cattle & treats us as such. I have been getting meds from this steaming pile of cow dung(thanks Liar,Liar) for years but just in the past 6 months, this pharmacy has chosen NOT TO OPEN ON SCHEDULED BUSINESS DAYS! That alone is bad enough but if you go in & discover they decided to open for a few hours & you have something to pick up, the backlog of ordered & delivered meds sits in a big pile & yours is in there but the rude-ass tiny woman with a god complex informs that they "may not get to ordered meds for 2 or 3 days". The final blow was delivered today, July 3rd ok?? Now, as any person who takes meds regularly (on a daily basis) & has for years knows that you get your Rx handled BEFORE a holiday to avoid any hassle & eases the burden of having to deal with a pack of s**theads that could care less if you'll seize cuz no meds. So, since I knew that something was up with our pharm, I called my doc last month & asked to have my meds moved to a different location due to reliability reasons. This was a Friday & was shocked my doc was even there on a Friday but I was told no problem & it wasn't... Until 3 days ago when I once again had to call my doc because only 1 Rx made it to the new location. It's never easy to have to ask your doc to move or change an Rx - it's a pain for us and them but is what he does & with E-Scripting, I no longer even see or touch my prescriptions & know it doesn't require a huge amount of effort but still, I hate having to do it - I didn't find out about both not making it until refill time & this is a C2 Rx which I know cannot be refilled with a phone call WAIT! Did I say phone call? I forgot for a second THEY DONT ANSWER THEIR PHONE!! Maybe & this is a very small maybe but hey, crap happens - I am old enough to realize businesses are short handed & what not but, WALGREENS uses COVID as an excuse to crap on every pharmacy customer by choosing which days their "part time" guy decides he wants to work. THIS "STORE" has repeatedly not opened on "scheduled business days" thereby screwing every patient that needed their meds that day. I don't see how they can continue to pull this crap & get away with it. Wouldn't you think there's something that would prevent a business from screwing their customers by not opening the store 4 times(or more) during normal business hours? Didn't they agree to provide medication in a safe & timely manner? Will definitely have to look into that issue but bottom line, I'm 100% sure I am not the only one angered by Walgreens lameness & obviously since 2 separate calls were made to their corporate office to inform & hopefully get in touch with the area/district person in charge of their pharmacies in the area remain unreturned, making it very obvious that the lack of customer service starts @ the top & plops down cuz this crap won't roll. read more

Pharmacy has become HORRENDOUS. Asked to refill a prescription over a week ago and it is still not ready. Can't get anyone to answer the phone of course to ask why. Was on hold for 25 minutes waiting my turn, got down to being the next call, and got disconnected. Called back immediately and was suddenly behind 3+ people. Guess I'll find out what it's like to go cold Turkey on cholesterol meds after being on it for a year. 10/13: called again and was on hold for 1 1/2 hours. Even sat on hold through the meal break in hopes they would pick up after. 10/14: called right when they opened. Worker at front register picked up after about 30 minutes for some reason. They said they couldn't help me. Asked to be transferred to the pharmacy. Sat on hold for another 30 or so and got disconnected. Drove to the location and waited in line. Noticed the phone was purposely off the hook. Gave them my info and received prescription in 10 minutes after waiting in line for 30 or so. Transferring prescription elsewhere. read more

Walgreens pharmacies are most definitely the worst in the business. However THIS pharmacy is a joke. Employees have the WORST attitudes I have ever encountered. They don't answer the phones, keep you on hold for an hour and hang up when its your turn. EVERY time I pick up I have to wait for them to be filled, even though i have refills monthly. You can definitely tell they are there for a paycheck only and really have no regards for human beings. REALLY SAD. WALGREENS DO BETTER. Can't train human kindness though. I've never experienced such a poorly staffed pharmacy! This location is the worst! They continue to have "technical" problems filling a recurring monthly prescription and when I call them as they ask me to do I'm on hold for 2 hours only to be disconnected by them 5 minutes before they close! I drove over to stand in line for over 45 minutes with dozens of other people who have been waiting for over an hour. Corporate either needs to hire more staff or shut this location down. I don't shop here often so only come for specific things or to pick up pictures. The Indian lady in the photo department is rude every time. Today I went to pick up a picture and I said, excuse me, since her back was turned. She said I am busy right now. You'll have to wait. I was simply letting her know that I was there so I don't stand there for 10 min.. or so she can get someone else to help me. She didn't need to be rude. A simple, I'll be right with you, would have been appreciated. Some extra training on customer service would be great for some of the employees here. I wish 0 stars was an option. I'm a type one diabetic and I've been trying to get my insulin prescription for the last couple days. I tried multiple times to get my prescription, but every time I go they have a sign up saying there is no pharmacist on duty or they are on a "lunch break" when the times aren't even right! Yesterday I went finally after not hearing anything for days... show up a little before 6 to stand in line and all of a sudden they come out and close the doors right in front of us even though we had been standing there waiting to be helped. Yesterday afternoon I was trying to consult the pharmacist at the 288th & Military Road Walgreen's in Federal Way to locate where a prescription was that should have been called into them. I placed the call at 4:01PM on 1/21/23 and my phone went dead at 5:40pm without having had ANYONE talk to me!! (1 hour 38 minutes and 45 seconds!!!) My interactions have been by phone as I asked someone else to pick up the final product of the multiple conversations required for one prescription because the endeavor exhausted me. The first call was answered by a gentleman who seemed to know many things about me that I didn't know about myself. I called to ask if my prescription had be sent in by my doctor. This gentleman launched into a diatribe about having to get the prescription transferred from another Walgreens location since my doctor would have sent it there. He seemed unwilling to accept the fact that I had provided my physician with the address and phone number of this particular location in advance because, well, this location is where I planned to pick it up. After several minutes of debate and condescension, he finally decided to give me the benefit of the doubt and check for the prescription. Guess what? It wasn't in yet. The thought of having to have that conversation again made my teeth itch. I called my doctor's office instead. They promised to call me when they sent it in and they kept that promise. The second one was a relatively simple exchange regarding the refusal of payment from my rather shitty and inept "insurance" provider. Not really a big deal. I got on the phone and handled my business and blah blah blah. The third was a call to let the pharmacy know that the matter had been cleared up with the "insurance" provider and that someone would be by to pick up the prescription in an hour. The fourth was an automated call letting me know that my prescription scheduled for pickup in one hour had been delayed and that Walgreens was attempting to contact my insurance provider. I received this call 90 seconds after the third call. The fifth call was me asking what the fuck was wrong now? At this point, I was assured that all was fine and dandy and that I could, indeed, collect my pharmaceutical goods at any time. The young lady who answered this call informed me that the fourth (automated) call was prompted by the situation discussed during the second call. I get it. There are some seriously fucked up machinations involved in insurance payments and approvals. I don't understand the algorithms involved in deciding who gets the drugs to save their lives and who doesn't. All I know is that I don't like being talked to like a child or machines that taunt me. read more

I have been getting my regular scripts here for years. It is a very busy location, so of course there's going to be a hiccup here and there.....normally I just deal with it. Whatever. It is what it is. But they really pissed me off this week. I will be transferring my scripts to RiteAid next to my work when I have my doctor's visit later this month. I am signed up for reminders. I get texts, emails, calls to refill my scripts every month. I am a retail manager myself, so always busy and not great at remembering, so have been happy to get the reminders. Well, put in my refill requests the end of last week and figured I'd pick up on my day off (Wednesday). My teenager has the van so her and her friends could go to Wild Waves, so I decide to take a leisurely walk up the street to Walgreens, since it's only a block from my house. I arrive at 6:30 PM and they're closed! They used to be open until 9, but during Covid they changed to 8. Understandable. But 6 PM on a weekday in a working class neighborhood? Didn't make sense to me, but oh well. Had a blip and my hubby was not able to pick up for me Thursday when I was at work, so figured since I just ran out I would be fine one day and pick up Friday. Drove into the drive-thru on way to work and they had a sign with hours listed from the 1st through the 4th of July. It showed CLOSED for the 1st and 4th. Really, closed the fist day of a holiday weekend? I had to go to work, though, nothing I could do. A bunch of my other managers at work quit, so no one to cover. I will just have to suffer with this giant migraine until tomorrow. I wake up early Saturday and go look on the website and lo and behold - Sorry your pharmacy is temporarily closed! And so are 95% of all the Walgreen pharmacies in a 60 mile radius. WTH? I see Auburn Way Walgreens is still open and call to see if they can fill at least my blood pressure meds, they say yeah but we're closing at 1 PM! I had a friend that lives a couple blocks pick up for me and bring to my work. Thank god. But I'm done. Walgreens doesn't care if its pharmacy customers stroke out, there's gotta be a Pharmacy Board or something like it I can complain to. I have been treated rudely by young girl who seemed to be the only person available in the pharmacy area. I am a senior citizen with memory problems. She actually chewed me out when I asked a question. It probably wasn't a very good question but I do not take kindly to poor treatment. May consider using a different pharmacy.
