Typical Walgreens, with all the same bad and not so bad. Their groceries are so overpriced, and they don't have a good selection of cold juice. Walgreens in Hainesville, the guy was rude told me to call the Walgreens in Grayslake, they had me on hold for over 15 minutes (jumping on the phone every 5 minutes saying hold please) ultimately letting the time run out of time until their meal break at 6:45-7:15 so the phone automatically hung up on me. I've been with Walgreens 15yrs and they have really gone down hill not caring about doing their jobs or about their customers. Walgreens in Fox Lake is no better. Every time I go, there's a sign saying Pharmacist not on duty. Very unprofessional so I will be taking my business to Osco, Target or CVS. read more

On hold for 20mins with the pharmacy just for them the hang up on me instantly! Called back to use the automated system but apparently if you have more than on proscription you can't. I have been a customer of the Walgreens store in Fox Lake for the past three years. However, I will not be getting my prescriptions filled there any longer. Since the end of August 2023 I have not been able to get a prescription filled there. I don't know if it's because they are understaffed (possibly due to wide ranging staff reductions in late August 23) but I have not been able to reach a person there by phone in September to get my prescriptions filled. I had a prescription called in on Monday. The following Monday it still had not been filled. 7 full days. I called and she said she'd fill it today. I came in the next day and it still was not filled. The lady at the window told me to "come back" I said "may I ask when?" she went back to the pharmacist who told her that "they do not have the prescription in stock. Walgreens needs to staff appropriately in the pharmacy. The pharmacy has been completely closed the past couple of Saturday's. People require their medications to live. Absolutely THE WORST pharmacy around! They take forever to fill scripts, every time I am there I wait at LEAST 30 minutes in line, the people working are typically rude. I have complained to the store, the corporate office and the the pharmacy. They are so short handed here and no one wants to assist. Terrible. Not just terrible, but consistently terrible. Two weeks ago I spent 40 minutes on hold, and after 40 minutes an audio message saying it was 7pm and the pharmacy was closed, then was I was disconnected. The day before, after 25 minutes on hold an audio message said the pharmacy was closed for a break and I could hold for another 30 minutes or I could call back later. There has got to be a more efficient way for clients to connect with the pharmacy about medications. Also, the two time I waited and finally talked to a person they were incredibly rude. I wasn't even angry when I was taken off hold. i just had a couple questions about my medications and I wasn't allowed to finish. They were condescending and wouldn't even let me finish my questions before cutting me off. Terrible customer service doesn't even describe how much I dislike Walgreens pharmacy. This pharmacy is now officially on my chit list! I have been trying to refill my life saving medication for last 2 days. First I was told there's a problem, then the pharmacist said their computer system was down and she can't enter it. In the Same conversation, she said oh there's an issue with your insurance, how would she have known that if she couldn't access the "system"? I told her I pay for it, they don't. After that, she told me she'd enter it but I'd have to wait until the next morning and give them a couple of hours. I called this morning, automated system said there is a problem, call in 1 hour. I called, still a problem. I phoned again at 1:00PM, still a problem, call back in an hour. Automated system couldn't put me through to a human because they were busy with other customers. I did this every hour up to 6:00 PM, then the system tells me, still a problem but the pharmacy is closed now, call back tomorrow! Nice enough pharmacy staff, but perpetually understaffed. Noticed a lot of pharmacy tech turnover, which isn't surprising considering they act mostly as cashiers and not getting to utilize what is undoubtedly expensive training. I feel for the staff that remain. read more

Prices come up wrong in 90% of all cases when clearance items, Bogo or sales items are involved. I'm tired of having to tell the cashier to correct EVERY SINGLE time. One Sunday, they told me they put up the prices valid from Monday on Sundays. Firstly, put them up on Monday and secondly, it has nothing to with the weekday. Three errors today when I purchased only 6 item is their normal. Not an exception. Amazingly, the error is always to the disadvantage of the customer. This does not happen at other Walgreen stores and has not happened to me at any other store. An innocent mistake can happen. I've been going to this pharmacy for many years now, and the experience I had yesterday made me VERY happy! I went in around 1 p.m. and they told me their systems went down earlier in the day and my medications wouldn't be ready until around 2:30. I was disappointed but said I would come back. I got distracted by the Halloween decorations for sale in the middle of the store for a bit and about 15 minutes later my cell phone rings, and it's Walgreens. I pick it up and it's a recording saying my prescriptions are ready. Confused, I head back to the pharmacy counter, and sure enough, they're ready! The team explained they rushed my prescriptions! I was so impressed! I've always been very happy with this pharmacy and have never had any complaints, but this just made me love and respect them even more! This is the worst Walgreens location I have ever been to within 50 miles. They never have my medication and I have been feeling the same meds for over a year every month Faithfully same exact amount and they still never have enough. They lie to me and tell me oh yes it went through and I'll get it ready now and then they short me the amount when I get up there to pay for it. They make you wait hours for a prescription and the staff is so busy that they are crabby and rude. Definitely changing pharmacies even though I can walk to this one from my house. The store seems to be consistently understaffed. The employees are helpful when they are available. The store has a good variety of food, alcohol, and home supplies. They are very helpful when it comes to using their over-designed user-unfriendly picture processing terminal. The pharmacy is not as efficient as other high volume pharmacies and there is little sense of urgency. Beware of the parking lot. Every month, I get 8 Rx filled and every month I have a hassle. Today at noon I called to get 7 Rx refilled and could I come at 4:30 - 4:45 and have them ready. The woman said no problem, she would have them expedite it and have it ready. I got to the drive through about 4:35 and gave my name and the guy said he had 6 only. He read the names quickly and I said let me read off of the email I received from Walgreens. He said just tell him what was missing. Instead I read my list and got to one he didn't have. He told me to come back in 15-20 min or come inside. I told him no, I would wait in the drive through and wait. He told me they were working on customers before mine. What? I told him I ordered at noon! He got the pharmacist and she said I couldn't wait and had to come back later. I told her to put back all my meds as I was transferring everything out. She said, okay it's up to you. They clearly don't give a care about their customers. It doesn't sound like a big deal but every month it's something new. Once a guy said they had 4 employees quit because of their store, what does that say. I warned the young assistant mgr today that losing 8 prescriptions per month may not mean anything to them, but it should. If you tick off enough people, they will go elsewhere and your store will be a low performer. When time comes to make budget, when they close this store, he should thank each and every pharmacy associates. read more

Uncle.... I've had enough from the Fox Lake location. Get robo call that my Rx is ready. I get email saying my regular Rx can be renewed. I auto OK the email and call the store to let them know I'll pick up all the next day so they can stop the constant robo calling. I get John, he said he has no Rx ready. I said I just got a call. He said he doesn't have anything and the messages are not always accurate and to just "let it go" and come back tomorrow. WTF... A day later, another call that my other Rx was ready so I planned to go the following day. Today, I go through drive through and am told I couldn't get 2 Rx because the pharmacist had to release and talk to me. I said fine, I'll wait. No, I have to come back in 15-20 min when the pharmacist was available. I said I'm here now and can't. She said "well she just had a baby and needs 15 minutes. I've had kids, I sympathize, but then have another pharmacist available. For as busy as this location always claims to be, I'm sure you have 2 on duty. I left and will be leaving this poor excuse for a pharmacy to transfer anywhere else I can. I give up, you want your customers to leave, I get it. Goodbye. Be careful for low performing stores, they will be the first on the chopping block when budgets discussed. Thank your pharmacy for you being out of jobs when they close you. read more
