My snack and drink were in one of their paper bags when my shopping cart tipped over, and both were destroyed. I returned to the store, and the cashier told me to grab replacements with no issue. It probably was just the right thing to do, but you have to give people and businesses credit when they do right by their customers. I am concerned about the level of customer service at the Main Street Glastonbury Walgreens pharmacy. On multiple visits, the staff have been unprofessional and dismissive--most recently when I asked a simple question about Vitamin D. Very poorly trained workers work here. Every time I shop, I hear telephones ringing non stop without any Walgreen employee answering ever. C'MON. Be less lazy - CVS is so so so much more professional. Prices better. When I check out at Walgreens the clerk always seems untrained, confused and bored. I have a $1 store credit issued to me for a mistake a cashier made on my order. When I spend that dollar in store credit, that will be good riddance to bad rubbish. Do not pay with a check at this Walgreens. They took my elderly mom's check at the pharmacy, processed it as an 'ACH', automated clearing house, then handed it back to her. Three weeks later the same check number, amount and date was processed as if she gave them the check again, which she did not. She never went to the store on the day the second withdrawal was presented by Walgreens. Withdrawals appeared two months in a row, one in April, one in May. Walgreens says it is the banks fault for processing the check twice. MTBank said it is Walgreens fault for presenting it once as ACH and once as a normal check. MTBank is 'researching' it for over two months while my mom is still out over $200! Other than that, the pharmacy has been a big help with all of her prescriptions. read more

Waasssssssuuuuupppppp yup, im reviewing my local drug store, why? well because i go here 4 times a day and although i know all of the counter people, do they know me? are you reading this counter people? they had one of my favorite Rx's, but he was transferred, likely for being too good, but so is life. again, im here all the time, they are nice people and the prices are pretty deece. cheaper than cvs and again, a short hop from the homestead. and 70% easter candy! w00t! they're good for when youre on drugs. read more

I really love having this Walgreen's this close. While I have, by habit, grown accustomed to CVS, this one wins me over for (1) location near my home, (2) great stock of items I want (like ice cream), and amazing staff. Sale prices are great. Really exceptional neighborhood store. read more

I would not recommend the Walgreen pharmacy in 1312 Manchester Rd, Glastonbury, CT. I have terrible experience today. I went there to pick up a medicine for my son who has his prescription from our pedestrian yesterday, the female staff told me I need to wait 15 minutes, so I shopped in Walgreen store for 20 minutes, then went back to counter, that lady said she is quite busy, my prescription is not ready yet, she told me she will refill immediately, so I just sit in the chair next to counter where she can absolutely see I was waiting there. Then after 1 hour waiting (I think I was patient enough with understanding she is busy or I was silly kind to her which I should not be), I checked with her, she told me it was not going to be refilled today and they were going to take off from the day. This was ridiculous, that lady staff can see I was waiting there, if she can not refill for me today, should she tell me instead ignoring me? I will say that's cheating and without any responsibility. I wasted one hour without my prescription refilled. She was not respecting people's time. I will say millions of "No" to this pharmacy, it was not only terrible, but also ignore their customer. If I can give no star, I. will. But I realized I have to select one star to post my review. If you care about your time, don't go there. read more

Grading a Walgreen's is pretty difficult because they're pretty much all exactly the same. This Walgreen's, as they all do, is kept very clean, has the same products they all have and the same basic feel. However this Walgreen's deserves a surprising 5 star review solely because of Sarah the pharmacist. Sarah is a major asset to this and the best pharmacist I've ever dealt with. She again and again takes the extra step to contact doctors, make sure that everything is in order and along the way, keep the customer aware of everything. She makes this pharmacy stand out amongst all others. read more

I was really happy when this Walgreens opened up next to my trusty highland park market. So convenient to have this right by my house Clean and well stocked. Ample parking. Drive-thru pharmacy... Only bummer is depending on your insurance they may not work with you, blue cross at this moment is through cvs, so I still have to drive through downtown Glastonbury for any prescriptions Staff is very helpful and on top of things. The photo lab section is great, they recently got a new touch-screen system for your prints and this is more reliable then trying to get prints online Walgreens where service is not so great and your prints maybe a disappointment. Awesome deals on random things like ice cream for example, 2 box of Breyer etc for only 3$ sometimes. That's pretty great :) read more

It's been years since I worked this close to Walgreens in this part of Glastonbury. I'd forgotten how absolutely fabulous the staff members are at this Walgreens. Without a doubt, best customer service in a drug store or quite frankly, any chain store!! Extremely helpful without smothering you with overly phony customer service skills. I was an hour away from home, almost to my daughter's house, when I realized I hadn't taken my prescription pills that morning. As I came around the corner, there was Walgreens & thought maybe they could give me a one pill refill. Been doing business with Walgreens for 10 years and (thought I) knew it would take me about an hour and would have to explain 2 or 3 times, but the peace of mind of taking my medicine would be worth the ordeal, so I pulled in. As I made my way to the pharmacy, I literally walked right into Eric, the Pharmacist, who greeted me with a big smile. After I explained my dilemma, he assured me he could & would help me. Then, he promised he'd have me out of there in 5 minutes. He used my name when he spoke to me, a huge plus in my book, made eye contact & smiled and as I was leaving he told me to enjoy my visit with my daughter and to enjoy the beautiful day outside. Not only did Eric give me peace of mind by filling my request, he sent me on my way smiling because of such a great experience. Seriously, who has a good experience at a pharmacy? Eric has fantastic interpersonal skills & I took the time to set up a Yelp account just to bring this to your attention. I've been in retail sales for 30 years and you have a shining star in Eric Haldren. My experience was a 5 out of 5. I usually come here for the little things. If I'm looking for a new color of nail polish, a snack before going off to work, a card for a relative's special occasion. This is the kind of the place that usually has that small item you are looking for. Like if I get a last minute call to pick up a gallon of milk. I would stop here versus going across the way to Highland Park Market if I needed to get a snack or something to drink. read more
