Cumby's was great for coffee and whatever you needed. prices have gone to 2.24 for a cup of coffee and a couple workers are very rude. one old lady in particular. Always busy talking or doing her own thing rather then doing her job. read more

Store #2875 glastonbury: went in for my favorite cumbys breakfast snack, hash browns(which i usually get in portland(always stocked, always fresh, never burnt)- and at store 2875, somebody thought it would be proper to put SIX orders of hash browns out in the hot case, ALL BURNT so bad the edges were CHARRED BLACK,which wouldnt bother me if i didnt have dental issues; then i get told a new order would take 6 minutes to cook!!!! I asked for 1 order of hash browns that werent charcoal on the edges. Strange, at the cumbys in portland, it takes 2 minutes. As a previous cumbys manager for over 5 years, i can tell you this is TOTALLY not the cumbys way. And for anyone who wants to say it's not a big deal, YOURE WRONG. AT 730 am, i dont have the bandwidth for people who should know better. Those burnt hashbrowns should have NEVER been put out to begin with. But... I guess cumbys has lowered the bar for food service people in some of their locations!! Me and my daily cab driver know where we ARENT ever going again!! read more

Great location! Cumberland Farms is Disney World for coffee lovers! So many variations you can make with their creamers, syrups and coffee blends. The store was very clean and they offered a lot of pre-packaged meals for on-the-go. read more

Like Dave below, I can't believe I'm going to review a gas station but here goes. I've gotten gas here a few times as it's convenient coming off of route 2 and typically has a decent price. We tried a Cumby one town over for coffee on e Sunday when taking a drive and all I can saw is HOOKED! I have a favorite local coffee shop i get coffee from during the week but the are closed weekends and frankly the coffee at chains like Brueggers, Starbucks and Panera just doesn't do it for me for the price. Today, I stopped in this Cumby to see if they had the same great coffee set up as the neighboring town and they do!! It is bright and cheerful inside and VERY spacious. The coffee area is clean , well supplied and plenty of room for making your coffee just like you enjoy! What makes it for me is the free flavor shot which just elevates the coffee to a new level. And 99 CENTS?!?! Crazy! I'm a new fan and will definitely make this my weekend coffee stop!Nice job Cumby with the renovations and design! Very customer friendly! read more

Went here while staying at the Hilton Garden Inn down the road. Came in for some snacks, after I was disappointed by the selection of the ShopRite around the corner. The place is bright, and cleaner than most gas station stores. Had a selection of sandwiches and other food items. I stuck to the more traditional fare of fountain drinks, chips and sweets. The fountain area seemed clean, not all sticky and gross like it can be in some places. The staff was cheerful and friendly when I came in, and the cashier even pointed out that there was a BOGO on the Cumby chips. And the Cumby-brand chips were pretty good--I thought they'd be salty or gross, and they weren't. read more

I'm a sucker for the new Cumberland Farms. How can you beat $1 coffee hot or cold? You can also get a breakfast sandwich for $2 and throw in hash Browns for $0.75 when you combo. Word up! read more

I'm a fan. I call them around midnight when Im getting out of work, and tell them to throw in a pizza and its ready ten minutes later when I get there. For a fast food type of pizza its actually pretty good, and only costs like 7 bucks! The crew is always friendly and seem to appreciate your business. Going to differ with Adrian and say that this isnt a typical gas station. Its bigger and more air-ey and seems more like a corner snack store than a 7-11 type of gas station box. And FREE coffee on Friday! Whats not to like???? read more

Typical gas station, located on a VERY busy corner. Prices can be either very close to, or exactly the same as the Global station right up the street. Gas doesn't seem to perform any different than the more expensive brands sold further down New London Turnpike. read more

Can't believe I'm reviewing a gas station, but they JUST renovated the entire property and it's glorious! It ain't Starbucks, but you can't beat $1 any size coffees (iced or hot) all year round. Sign me UP! read more

This is the best convenience store in the area. Fantastic selection of sodas Foods candy popcorn chips and other necessities as well as having gas and gasoline pumps. Mr. Clean and the people are friendly and apart from the long lines there's nothing to recommend about this place read more

Love this CF. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Even today, the cashier offered us a better deal on our drinks thy we were not aware of and saved us a few bucks. Everything is always well stocked and you can't go wrong with their coffee station. read more

I love the employees here. They are fantastic. This review is about the farmhouse premium chocolates. Corporate - listen up. I got this chocolates for free because I bought some brand name/known to be soooo good and addicting candy and snacks - and the employee was like "we have this promotion and you get this yummy yummy chocolate treat for free. It's soooooo yummy. Eat it" and I'm like "well it's free and chocolate is chocolate" I buy it. Bring it home. Get hungry and a serious craving for sweets. Only have those chocolates left because I already housed the rest of the candy. Decide to eat it. IT WAS LIKE EATING CHEAP CHOCOLATE LACED WITH UNSCENTED POWDERED LAUNDRY DETERGENT. Seriously. It cant be that expensive to put some halfway decent chocolates together. I mean. I DIDNT HOUSE A BAG OF CHOCOLATES IN ONE NIGHT! I only can eat one a night. It will take me weeks to get through this bag. You need to fix this. Make your bag poundable. read more

I stopped in for my last visit this past week. There was a woman ahead of me trying to buy gas and she wanted to pay half cash and half credit. The clerk said "oh yeah, you can swipe the card at the pump" and then turned his back and was on the phone again. She had her cash out and asked if she could pay the cash portion now and credit outside but the guy wasn't even paying attention, and continued his conversation with what sounded like was a vendor. So I got the guys attention and said this lady wants to pay for her gas with cash, then he finally turned around and took her money. I put my red bull down and walked out. Never going back. Try Glastonbury Global down the road instead. At least they have some appreciation for their customers.

It's no longer in operation and now the apple cider is brought in from Riverview Farms and sold alongside the famous apple fritters which is not the same. Also there is huge displays of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes along with white pumpkins and gourds available and sold along with scare crows and corn stacks.They draw in a huge crowds on weekends and warned that in addition to the throngs of people clamoring for their Fall fix and Autumn photo opportunity. The traffic congestion goes along with the location. A lot of out of state cars of visitors that come on the weekends for the month of October. Don't be turned off as it's a great place to visit.

Folks it isn't just another farm where you can snag a pumpkin. Old Cider Mill is one of the OLDEST operating cider mill in the U.S. Yes, in the entire U.S, opening operations in the 1870s. This cider mill is situated on a cute little farm called Riverview Farms. Its important to know that if you are looking for a large farm where you can all day "pick your own", corn mazes, and more, this place isn't it. But I found this place a cute destination that has a few things to do with my toddler for 1-2 hrs. When you pull in to the farm, the old building is literally the first thing you see from the road with gords, pumpkins, apples and more spread out to purchase. Very similar to an open layout farmers market. A lot of the fruits they have for purchase aren't grown by them but are locally grown from the Glastonbury area. The parking is up the side and in the back. There is plenty of parking. Parking is on a wide dirt road with pull in parking on the left and right. I had no issues getting in and leaving. They make FRESH apple fritters and of course apple cider. I got hot apple cider from the food truck they have but id recommend just buying their cold apple cider inside the barn (if you dont want it warm) and BYOC to drink it with the apple fritters from the truck. For me, I wish I did because my daughter did better with drink it from a sippy cup. Where you will spend the bulk of your time and which I thoroughly enjoyed was the petting zoo. The cost to get a cup of animal feed is only a $1 or $2. They also give you a feeding stick to put the feed on so your children do not need to put their hands near the animals mouths. You will NEED cash to do this activity since its so cheap. You can pay at the entrance of petting zoo. If you dont have cash, you can still get tickets/tokens (dont remember what it was) inside their general store found inside the old barn building in the front but you need to purchase other stuff (I think there was a card minimum). There was no ATMs. I planned to purchase homemade stuff inside the store anyways. The petting zoo has all your standard farm animals (chickens, roosters, sheep, goats and more). There is plenty of space inside to move around, so even if its busy, you wont have to wait to feed the animals. The general store is bigger than it looks from the outside as they have like half level room (kind of like a basement that you can go down into with old gift shop stuff). They have hand made crafts, nice decorative stuff, locally made dressings, jams, picked stuff, salsa, and of course, apple based products like donuts (made at another farm), apple cider and more. I'd go here again if I'm on the area as its an easy and cute place to bring your children for a quick 1-2 hrs if you don't want or can invest an entire day to a fall activity. Check out of your Connecticut historical destinations and visit Old Cider Mill.
