I tried to pick up my prescription and was told it was too early and to come back in 10 days. That made sense, so that's what I did. Ten days later, the staff said to come in, and it would be filled within 45 minutes. When I showed up later that day, the pharmacist refused to fill it until he spoke with my doctor. That was fine, although highly inconvenient to travel to the pharmacy twice to pick up my prescription, only to be told they would not do it after I arrived. I asked if they could give me a date to pick up the medication, and if it was two or three weeks out, that's fine, and I'll come back at that time. I was then told, for the first time in this 2-week debacle, that the DEA flagged the refill, which is why they need to speak with my doctor. That seemed reasonable, in general, but unbelievable in this case. They never mentioned it before despite my inquiries. My doctor did not believe that and sent the order to CVS. CVS filled the medication within 45 minutes. No DEA flag, which would have shown up in their system if it were true. Evidently, the pharmacist lied to my face about something as significant as the DEA flagging a medication. In sum, the pharmacist accused me of doing something nefarious, misled me multiple times by telling me to pick up my medication and then refusing to fill it after I arrived at the pharmacy, and worst of all, lied to my face about the DEA flagging it. Moreover, they made little to no effort to reach my doctor, and their inefficient system, with no line for medical providers (which is inexplicable), made it impossible for my doctor to reach them without waiting on hold for 20 or 30 minutes. I know of two pharmacists at this location. One of them, the white male, is dishonest and offensive. He lied to me when he could have filled the prescription or given me a later date at which time he would have been willing to do so. He refused to call my doctor when I asked him to reach out one more time to resolve the situation. I am not concerned about his refusal to fill the prescription. He probably felt he was doing his job. However, at a minimum, a patient should expect honesty and respect rather than dishonesty and false accusations. read more

I went to pick up my wife's prescription that she needed. I got there and was told it would not be available until Monday at 2 pm. I drove home. My wife then called and finally got someone on the phone. They checked and said it was now available. When asked why she did not check before, she was unable to explain. This is why people hate big companies. read more

I needed to print photos at walgreens, very few stores have onsite equipment anymore. Laela, the Walgeens employee, got me started and answered all my questions and I had my photos in minutes !!!! Excellent customer service. I will be back. read more

Very long wait for me and everyone in front of me. And there was only two people in front of me. I can only assume that the people ahead of me had the same issue as I did. My prescription was not ready but I ordered my refill 4 days prior. And my prescription is rather benign, sealed in a box prepackaged. The very kind hard-working cashier saw my order in the system and she said that they had it in stock, but not ready and I had to wait another 15 minutes which I could not do so I have to drive over there again tomorrow. I assume the pharmacist is not working efficiently or is overworked. But for a while, they had a remarkably efficient pharmacist there. Apparently this is the busiest Walgreens Pharmacy in Denver. I'd believe it. There is always a line! The frustrating part is that if you have an appointment for a vaccine, you must still wait in that line, which often checks you in well after your scheduled appointment time. They should have a separate check in area, however, I doubt they have the pharmacy staff to accommodate the need. The rest of the store is relatively tame, and generally has products in stock (though no one has been immune during the supply chain shortages post-covid). There is a large parking lot which is easy to enter from Colorado Blvd, Alameda, or the shopping center. Staff are generally friendly and easy to find throughout the store. There is one lady in the skin care area who is particularly helpful, should you have questions about face lotions. Photos are printed pretty expeditiously, which is nice, but rarely is someone ever behind the counter to get them for you. There is often only one person at the cash registers, so a line to check out can form quickly. That's sort of the theme to this store: hurry up and wait. It would be nice if they could implement self-check outs, faster check ins at the pharmacy, and less waiting at the photo department for help. read more

This place sucks!!!! I was on hold for 20 mins and the employees would answer the phone and then hang up on me on purpose 10 times. Their dive thru is always closed because of staffing shortages, ummm maybe pay your employees more?? Then you go inside to wait in line behind 20 people for your prescription. And once again don't bother calling to transfer a prescription or order a refill in case you threw away your bottle on accident because they will never answer. I had been getting my prescriptions at Walgreens for over 10 years and recently started using this location when I moved. They gave me 3 months of the wrong prescription (I assumed it was a different generic as they had switched me twice). Once I got ill a few days later I returned with the prescriptions and the pharmacist was extremely rude. She said they couldn't take the prescriptions back but would speak over me when I even asked her how that could be a different prescription if every month for the last 9 months I had been using another. She cut me off and said I had to call my doctor if I wanted something different and that she wouldn't take the prescriptions back even to dispose of them. Luckily CVS was able to sort it out with my doctor and my insurance and were appalled at hearing Walgreens wouldn't help me read more

It takes 30-45 min to get your RX when you arrive even if the app notifies you your medication is ready for pickup. The drive thru line is always 7+ cars long! If you go inside, there are always 6+ customers milling about, no line, and no way of obtaining your medication without awkwardly approaching the counter and being told to "wait in line." What line??? Walgreens has gone downhill over the past 5 years - I'm surprised they aren't out of business yet. It will come, though. When you treat your employees that poorly and disregard the customer experience to that extent, eventually you will go out of business. Good luck, as I doubt you'll take this review seriously. This is the nicest Walgreens I have ever visited. There's easy access to the building from all sides, a large parking lot, and lots of wide handicap spaces. The store is scrupulously clean with well-stocked and meticulously arranged shelves. The lighting is bright and the aisles are wide. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Mom had transferred her prescriptions to Walgreens. She kept calling to see when they'd be filled. They kept giving excuses, then she found out they'd sent them to Arizona for refills. We don't live in Arizona and NEVER HAVE! We live in Colorado . Mom was without her DAILY meds for 6 weeks. Some of those meds were for Asthma (inhaler), hypothyroidism, blood pressure and potassium. Her body did NOT react well without her meds, but because they'd already called them into her insurance agency they couldn't get refilled somewhere else so she could them. I have been a Walgreens customer for about 15 years mostly because of its proximity to where I used to live. Today, I finally decided to move on. It is not about one or two issues, it is about almost every single interaction I have had with them over the years - business or personal, such as asking if I could use their restroom. So, I went to pick up my refill today, and this other lady wouldn't even look at my account for the coupon. She said, Do you want to the medicine or not? I have no issues with pharmacy, but have had 3 different episodes with other staff in the past 3 months. 1. I asked the location of an item and was told, "against the blue wall." There are 4 blue walls. 2. Again, asked for location and she was bringing me to the area, but then yelled because I was following too close. This really wasn't that bad, considering today's world. 3. Today, I went to the card department where a clerk was making a display. I asked if they had a specific type of Christmas card and first she said no, then said "right here"..in front of where she was working. This was my third Walgreens of the day trying to get my medication. The line was long and it was clear everyone was very impatient. The man who was working in the pharmacy greeted me with a smile. His name tag clearly states he didn't even work in the pharmacy normally and was just trying to help out. He was kind and efficient and made a stressful experience a little better. Today, I had a Covid-19 rapid test scheduled for 1pm. I arrived sharply at 1, and patiently waited in the drive through pharmacy line for 26 minutes (which seems extremely slow given there were only 3 cars ahead of me.) When it was finally my turn, I told the woman that I was there for my Covid 19 rapid test, and assured her that I was on time, but had been waiting in the line. She was beyond rude and replied that, "the test can no longer be completed because we leave for lunch in 7 minutes, and why didn't you call when you got here?! You aren't supposed to be in this line!" I still cannot get over how obnoxiously rude this woman was. I mustard enough strength to get myself out of bed with a fever, and drive to my scheduled appointment, only to wait for nearly 30 minutes to be berated and turned away. I explained to the woman that everything she was telling me, was NOT mentioned in the email. The email clearly stated to GO THROUGH THE PHARMACY DRIVE THROUGH, and in NOWHERE in that email does it say to call first. She replied by saying, "well, it isn't supposed to say that anymore and we're going to lunch, so come back at 2." No apologies for the pharmacy clearly making a huge mistake. I've tried waiting in the store and using the drive through. Usually only a line of 2-3 cars or 4-5 people inside. Still always takes 40+ minutes. Several time employees at the pharmacy counter were rude. But this last time will be the last. I called last week to get all my prescriptions refilled, left on a plane to find out they had forgotten to give me one medication. I will go and pick it up today. Which is not convenient. But the least convenient is that I will now have to go on the 24th of every month AND the 2nd to get that stray medication because they will not fix their mistake. All I was told is that I should have taken the name of the rude person I spoke to a week ago, to hold them accountable. AnS that I can wait without that medication until the 24th of I want hem to refill all at the same time. Great service !!! This is a poor business as the staff does not care about their customers. They ignore them when they are wiring for services and then act like we are bothering them after waiting for over a half hour. They don't care. They just want to get paid and not work including the shift leader, Laura. Yet she is the only one that knew anything. She was not excited to help though. AWFUL customer service. I would never recommend this pharmacy to anyone. First off, they gave me a different prescription than the listed name I always refill with. When I picked up the prescription, they failed to tell me of this change so when I go to finally use it two weeks later, it is not the same. I call that night to let them know of this issue, and the lady on the phone tells me to come in the next morning to take care of this change so I can refill it at a different pharmacy. After going in, they rudely told me there is nothing they can do. So not one, but two employees did their job incorrectly, which has now costed me $100 unnecessary dollars and a headache. All in all, steer clear of this place if you want good customer service, correct prescriptions and pharmacists that actually care about your health issues. read more

My girlfriend and I went in to get makeup and tissues. We were in there for about 5 minutes while I picked out foundation. While looking at it, the manager I'd assume, an older man...walked up to us and said "you ladies need to leave." I looked at him and said "us? Um, why?" And he responded with "you ladies need to leave." I put my foundation back and we walked out, having only been in the store for five minutes. Walgreens bought out Rite Aid and didn't integrate the information and makes trying to get anything filled even more terrible. As I ponder how to rate a Walgreens I think to myself what keeps me coming back time and time again. 1. Convenience - this one is located conveniently on Colorado Blvd. and is the closest one to Cherry Creek. The private parking lot is well laid out and easy to get in and out of even during peek times. 2. Well Stocked - I have a handful of items I always purchase at Walgreens and the shelves are always stocked with my brand. 3. Friendly Staff - Everyone here appears to be happy and I often have someone ask if I need assistance finding anything and every once and awhile I do take them up on this offer. I find this Walgreens to be one of the better ones in town and it will soon become the closest Walgreens for me to shop. read more
