This place is kinda like my weekly entertainment because of the funny staff... there's the guy that…read moretalks so fast that he sounds like an auctioneer and you can hardly understand a word he says, there's the older lady with the short bob haircut that's always asleep at the wheel with her head down standing up at the front register that you have to wake up to get her to ring up your stuff, there's the peppy late 20's friendly blonde that is very friendly and interested in hair and makeup, there's the older lady with the dark short hair that asks you for ID for cigarettes every single freaking day even though she sees you every morning and knows who you are and there used to be the funny mid 30's pharmacist in the back dealing with crazy customers and grumbling hilarities under his breath after hanging up the phone. It's a pretty funny group of people. The problems with this Rite Aid are a few things: A- during the day it seems hard to get a cashier to ring you up at times, the hair and makeup section are unremarkable and abbreviated where there isn't a great selection that is updated with the newer products and so often out of stock on the good stuff and the prices are not only WAY higher than Walmart, but there is hardly ever coupons available at the register like places such as Walgreens offer at their beauty counter. I can't really vouch for the pharmacy service there - I don't use big box stores to fill prescriptions anymore as a matter of principal, especially since a couple / few years ago, Rite Aid joined the ranks of CVS and Walgreens where they discriminate and give a hard time to recovering addicts filling prescriptions for treatment medications and upper management within the company has proven time and time again that they do not care and are not going to educate their pharmacy staff of these life saving medications and how necessary they are for the opiate addiction crisis. $12,000 per year prescriptions go to smaller family owned pharmacies and chains where they are more of a judgement free zone and you don't have to be called a "stupid junkie" like the Walton and Livernois location will do when they are having a bad day.

I can't say enough about the "top notch" customer service I recieved from Summer and the rest of…read morethe staff at RT Specialists. My C-pap machine, that I originally got through HART, died on a Friday night. I wasn't able to speak to anyone about this until Monday morning as HART was closed over the weekend. I called Hart first thing on Monday and was told by someone at HART, that if I had my Dr. send over a new script for a replacement, I could get one later that day. That never happened and after about 10 different phone calls to Hart that week, I got nothing but the run around. I could never get a return call and then finally, 4 days later, I was told it could take up to 10 days to get a replacement. Needless to say, I was more than upset, as not having a working CPAP was causing many problems. I found RT Specialists on the internet and thought I would give them a call, with the hope they might be able to intervene. I spoke to Summer there and she rectified my problem in less than 24 hrs !! She coordinated with my pulmonologist, had a new script sent to her, and got my new machine to me by the next day. I have to say it is the "Cadillac" of CPAP machines, and I could not be happier. I will NEVER go to any other medical supply going forward. RT specialists has a forever customer with me, and I will definitely spread the word on the wonderful care I was given.
