Today I went there as the designated location for my second Covid booster shot. They took me right on time for my appointment. The general pharmacy staff was friendly. However, of special note, the pharmacist was super friendly and efficient. Although I was already familiar with the potential side effects (since this was my forth Covid related shot) the pharmacist took extra time to explain things and was extremely attentive despite the pharmacy being extremely busy. Overall I was very impressed with the interaction today and I highly recommend this pharmacy.

As I'm waiting for my medication the cvs employee coughed and didn't cover his mouth. He was not wearing PPE and gave me the medication as if this pandemic is a joke. I was extremely upset and told him he can be A symptomatic and could easily pass this on to me or anyone else. He started to laugh and joked that nothing will happen. I'm scared and paranoid at this moment. I should not have to deal with such carelessness from a Pharmacey employee. Usually people go there to pick medication because they're not feeling well. This man didn't care to keep customers safe. He clearly should not be working the window at CVS. This pharmacy should train employees to take precautions seriously to keep themselves and customers safe.

This pharmacy refused to refill my thyroid medication because they thought I should be taking a…read moreDIFFERENT thyroid medication. I had previously filled the scrip at this pharmacy. When I went to get it refilled, they tried to make me change the scrip. The doctor's office contacted them and told them to fill as ordered. They said it would be in in a couple of days. Then they told my son they could not get that medication at all. I'm pretty sure they didn't notify him of that until he called and specifically asked after he waited a couple of days as they said. Oddly they had it 30 days previously when I first filled it at that location. Other locations can still get it. The upshot is that by the time I wrested the scrip away from CVS and got it filled elsewhere with no problem - which I have been doing for over 30 years on a regular basis at a wide variety of pharmacies all over the country - I had been out of my thyroid medication for 10 days. Also please note, it is SPECIFICALLY illegal for a pharmacy to substitute one thyroid med for another, even if the only difference is the brand - and this was not JUST a brand difference. They wanted to switch me to a thyroid med that had a totally different formulation and would NOT have treated my condition adequately. And one, I might add, that I had been tried on before and was dropped because it was not adequate to treat my condition. But of course the pharmacist who did this is not a doctor and does not have access to my medical records which is why HE/SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE TRIED TO FORCE A CHANGE IN MEDICATION. The fact that they tried to slide this through the backdoor by trying to get me to get my doctor to change the med doesn't make it any better than a flat-out substitution. Then they lied about availability. This caused me to have an Addisonian relapse. Addison's disease is a very serious condition. An Addisonian crisis can be deadly. Its almost 2 months later now and I STILL have not recovered. When thyroid goes low it pulls cortisol low, which leads to an Addisonian flare-up or relapse or whatever you want to call it, which can then lead to full-on crisis. And I am not out of the woods yet on this. Whoever ordered this over there is a complete jackass. You don't muck around with people's meds. Pharmacists are NOT DOCTORS. YOU do not decide what medicines I should be taking. You know NOTHING about my health other than via whatever meds I fill there, and then you are assuming that I never fill any of my scrips anywhere else. I can guarandamntee you, I will never again fill a scrip at this or ANY OTHER CVS. And since I had been getting my hydrocortisone there for the Addison's, if the pharmacist responsible for this travesty had bothered to check, or if he WERE actually a Real Doctor and specifically an Endocrinologist, he would have known mucking around with my thyroid meds is dangerous. But whoever did this is NOT a real doctor, let alone an endocrinologist, so they endangered my health solely for the sake of their ego. I will reiterate - pharmacists are NOT DOCTORS. I don't give a tinker's damn what the medication du jour is - or whatever your markup is higher on. I'm on a very rigid schedule of medications because I have a complicated interaction between the Addison's and the hypothyroid condition plus T2 diabetes, and the first 2 of those are autoimmune related. You don't screw with my medication for any reason. So bite me, CVS pharmacist. You should be glad I'm not telling you this to your face, you colossal jackass and incompetent moron. You are practicing medicine without a license. But you haven't managed to kill me yet through your incompetence and ego, and you won't get another chance.

Another worker checked in the stockroom for an item I wanted and brought it out to me with a smile. The produce section was well stocked and full of quality fruit and vegetables. The seafood counter was stocked with center cut pieces of Salmon. Checkout was efficient. The cashier packed delicate items with care. I needed help loading my car because I had many bulky and heavy (for me) beverages. A pleasant worker was available quickly to load my car.

I…read moreeven called the regular store phone and when they transferred me to the pharmacy, whoever was on the phones picked up, said nothing, and hung up - as if to avoid speaking to customers. I figured I'd just refill my prescription using the automated phone line. Did that and it said my prescription would be filled by 3:45 same day. Before leaving the house, I called again to make sure it was ready before making the trip there, as I live 30 minutes away, but again, hung up on. I got to the pharmacy at 4:30 and the attendant let me know, in a very short manner, "We don't have anything here for you." I let them know the automated system said it would be ready for pick up by 3:45, to which they responded "well we need an order from the doctor." Shame on the automated system for its error in ETA and shame on the employees at the pharmacy for not answering not one of my six calls. This trip could have been prevented and I could have reached out to my doctor before their offices closed had I known. I'm going out of state tomorrow morning before the pharmacy opens and now I'll have to wait a week to pick up. Someone's needs to be educated on how to do their job, especially when they're dealing with people's medications.

The dark colored carpet and the dim lights add to the dreariness.

I wasn't aware of how large a store it is. I was also pleasantly surprised at how clean the store was and how well the inventory was organized, including the grocery selections downstairs. Prices are what you'd expect... some will be good deals, some will be loss-leaders, others won't be as competitive. The customer service center was a different story, with an extremely long line. Then there was that "Switch to Spectrum!" gal who wouldn't take "No" for an answer (well, sorry, she had to with me). Could this be your one-stop shopping place? Certainly. Will it be mine?
