I was pleased since it is an hard to find gingerbread decorating kit. I checked out with several items. The cashier/employee was helpful, patient, knowledgeable about store products. She even brought me a shopping cart when I asked. I did not bring my own bags, so she gave me two of the weak paper bags provided by CVS. One of them ripped (no fault of hers) as I was exciting the store. The cashier flew over, with a new bag, and picked the items off floor. I appreciated the concern on her part and her assistance. I wish I had gotten her name because she deserves recognition. The store was clean and neat. It was a pleasure to shop here rather than my regular Niskayuna CVS with the sometimes rude pharmacy team.

We occasionally patronize this CVS when the one closer to home is out of some prescription or other…read morethe kids need, and my experiences here have been pretty much identical every time: (1) I get very prompt and courteous service from the pharmacy staff when I go up to the counter to drop off the Rx. (2) They get distracted by the drive-in pharmacy window because they're understaffed and as is the case with every place everywhere with a drive-thru, the drive-thru customers somehow get priority over the ones who have managed to walk in. (3) Nevertheless the staff do their best and I'm pleased, if a bit delayed, by the pharmacy service. I get a chance to count the stains on the carpet in the waiting area, which is always a good time. (4) I am accosted by somebody leaving (or going in; or both) in the parking lot. You can definitely call this a mixed experience. I think my takeaway here is to use the drive-thru service to avoid (2) and (4). You might consider doing the same.

I have the same issue EVERY time I go into this specific pharmacy. I go in, give them my information, and then I'm told there is an issue with my insurance. Now, if my insurance was really inactive or I hadn't updated the information that would make sense and I wouldn't blame them. However, they say they're going to call and every time give me trouble. They've seen me too often now for this to be happening! I was there for an HOUR today sick as can be, exposing the public to strep while they ARGUED with me about my insurance. When I called, they confirmed that yes it has actually been active and they are the ones failing to update their system. Fix this!!! Take initiative and take the extra time so you don't ruin someone's morning when they're already ill! I will not be going back to this pharmacy and will NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone. The staff were not taking responsibility and that was the most frustrating part. When you know you're right and yet they're blaming it on you. I don't make reviews unless I feel very positively or negatively about my experience. My other two reviews I've made so far have been positive. Today I went there as the designated location for my second Covid booster shot. They took me right on time for my appointment. The general pharmacy staff was friendly. However, of special note, the pharmacist was super friendly and efficient. Although I was already familiar with the potential side effects (since this was my forth Covid related shot) the pharmacist took extra time to explain things and was extremely attentive despite the pharmacy being extremely busy. Overall I was very impressed with the interaction today and I highly recommend this pharmacy.

This CVS is presently undergoing a renovation, so I doubt it's as clean and organized as it might…read moreotherwise be. The inventory was still in generally good condition. Hopefully some of this renovation will take place at the pharmacy, because it's somewhat cramped and not really capable of handling a backlog of customers. There's 2 self-check kiosks in the front, with no place for a line to wait if there's a backup. Hopefully these get a facelift too, as they could be more user-friendly.

And they always have the script ready within about 15 to 20 minutes of getting it written. I had to go to the Urgent Care across the parking lot a few times (thanks pneumonia) this past winter, and they'd have everything ready by the time I walked over there. Maybe I had to wait a minute or two if they were busy. The other day I walked in and the lady behind the counter waved and said hi. On my way out the guy told me to have a good one, and I admonished him to do the same! So, at least in my experience, the service is fast and friendly. The pharmacists are especially kind despite the treatment they get all day.

The pharmacy is huge and staffed by at least 5 people plus whoever is working the drive-through. Paperwork is processed quickly here. There probably should be more chairs in the waiting area, today there were only 4. The vaccination area is tiny but sufficient, behind a partition.
