I have been a Walgreens customer for decades filling prescriptions. I don't know what happened over the past few months. I get home delivery. My prescriptions have gotten lost resulting in double billing on credit card. This month, my asthma prescription, ordered on the a pp is filled in Arizona for Miami delivery. My insurance says that I am entitled to x, they say z. What the heck is going on? The phone leaves you holding for hours, the reps know nothing. Pharmacy - Communication here is a HUGE hit or miss! The only convenient feature is they are open 24 hours but half of the time they are out of stock of the meds you need. Zero follow up and if you call for service with a question... good luck with that! Not only is the pharmacist rude and he's not good at explaining things. Waited over 25 minutes for assistance in hair care because the product I needed was locked and required an associate to open. After unlocking the item, the associate refused to hand it to me stating they would hold behind the counter. Not sure if this is their policy, but fine. I grab the other items I need and head to the cash wrap where there is NO ONE working! I turned around in frustration and someone came running from behind the counter. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a fan of CVS over Walgreens. However I was pleasantly surprised over this particular Walgreens. I had to come here for my prescription - as it was the assigned store apparently according to my doctor and would work out cheaper than my normal CVS. So there I was. There was a bit of a wait, as it was busy. However the gentleman behind the counter was fast, efficient and friendly. Once I was served it was a fast encounter and I was on my way. Worse Walgreens I've attended and I am not one to leave bad reviews. Got out of the hospital and they sent the prescription while I was there and by the time I was discharged it had been an hour. I showed up to the drive thru window at 2:30 IN THE MORNING. And the pharmacist did not even acknowledge me for 30 mins while talking to a customer in the front. I called their line and no one answered either. Like I am dead staring at him ignoring the call and the drive thru. I decide to park and come inside instead and he told me that my meds weren't ready and I told him they should be because they were sent while I was in ER and I've been waiting outside for another 30 mins and even called you and no one answered. He had the audacity to tell me that it would have been rude to answer a call in front of a patient or acknowledge me at the window. I told him not really coming from someone who works with customers all day all you have to do is excuse yourself acknowledge the call or the person at the window and that gives everyone a piece of mind. He rolled his eyes and told me that my medication would be ready like in 15 mins. read more

They don't have enough people working in this place to answer the phone. I changed insurance and I cannot get a couple of my prescriptions they keep telling me to call the pharmacy I call and no one answers the phone or they answer and put me on hold answer and put me on hold it's a nightmare and a freaking train wreck trying to deal with these people. My doctor tried to call them and said she went through the same thing. They don't have enough help they're open 24 hours a day and it's absolutely futile to try to deal with these people. Made my 1st call at 11pm, been on hold for over an hour and a half for the pharmacy for a simple refill. (I took screen shots as proof.) I finally hung up and I called and asked for store manager & she was no help at all. I will be writing a letter to Walgreens Corporate Headquarters. It's a Walgreens in north Hialeah / Miami Gardens / nee Carol City. Architecturally it is a concrete and steel joist box.What makes it stand out and worthy of writing a review - besides the fact they have literally Three Kinds of "I love Hialeah"shirts - was the fact that I received good service and directions to the aisles where my products were located. Hey it was 10:30 PM and I didn't want to wait wandering the aisles. The store looked clean and well kept. I am taking off one star because perhaps for energy savings the a/c was low (i.e. not cool in the store) and there was a congregation of mosquitos near the cash register. It can be uncomfortable to get stung while waiting in line. read more

This store specifically the pharmacy does not even deserve a rating. They never answer the phones. When they do the explanation they give for not having filled the prescription is ridiculous. When is corporate going to get involved. I know I can go to other companies and I will but in the meantime someone needs to explain customer service to this store. read more

The pharmacy won't answer the phone. I've been on the phone for over an hour and a half, only to have them pick up each time and barely utter the words of "please hold". It's ridiculous. Period. This is the most important section in the store where customers have serious questions in need of getting an answer. This should not be allowed. Slowest Walgreens in existence, everything takes an hour which in reality is 6. You'd get faster service driving further.

If there were negative starts available I would use that this pharmacy has been the worst to deal with. ZERO and I mean ZERO customer service, yes they are 24 hrs but 24hrs of NO WORK they constantly blame the system being down and not being able to pick up the phone. I have been with this location for years and because I seldom use them I tend to forget how HORRIBLE they are! This is probably my third time coming into this Walgreens. And every time I always feel like walking out as soon as I walk in. In this particular visit, the moment I walked in, there was this awful stench. I honestly can't describe it but it was gross. I knew exactly what I needed to get so I looked for the designated aisle, picked up the item and went straight to the register. When it was my turn, the cashier didn't bother to greet me. I paid for my items, she placed it in the bag, and once my receipt printed she gave it to me and proceeded to the next customer. Not once did she acknowledge my presence nor did she say "have a great night". Manners and customer service truly go a long way, and this location did the complete opposite. I'd rather drive extra to find another Walgreens or CVS, and if before midnight, there's a target right across the street. read more

I have to put a star in order to be able to post this review. This place is ridiculous with wait time to pick up a prescription. I have literally been standing in line for over 40 minutes waiting to be taken care of. Walgreens is such a big company that I fail to understand why they do not have more employees in the pharmacy area. Management really needs to re/ evaluate the customer service here. Hopefully something gets done. Update : 9/21/19 Seems like nothing has changed here! I pull up to the drive thru to pick up my daughter's refill which I received a text on Thursday asking if I wanted to refill it to reply REFILL which I did. I was the only one at the drive thru waiting for someone to come to the window... well I was left there at the window with no one coming to take care of me even though they did see me no one came to the window for some time. Finally someone came to the window and I informed her as to what I was there for she then tells me there is nothing there for my daughter that it was picked up already on the 6th. I tell her no that's impossible especially since I didn't receive the text until after that date and that actually I received another text on the 19. She then says to me well you need to reply REFILL so that it gets done. I respond to her I did reply to it! This isn't my first time getting refills and I show her the text. She then says well it didn't go through but I show her again that it did go through because I received a response thank you refill will be filled. She then says well I will put it through now but you need to go drive around so that I can take care of the car behind you.... wait a minute you clearly seen me drive up to the window and you ignored me for some time ( I was able to hear a complete song on the radio and some commercials and hear the station talk about the weather and a few things going on and another song then you know I was there for some time)and then when you finally come to the window you want me to leave and come back because there's a car behind me ????? I took a few deep breaths and calmly said I have another place I have to get to and I drove away. I will be returning to pull up and park and see a manager about this experience.... lack of service! read more

This pharmacy needs new staff, new manager new everything. This place is the worst Walgreens In Miami. I never ever use this pharmacy for two reasons: no medicine I have ever been prescribed for any of my family members is never in stock. Reason # 2 customer services is terrible. I had to wait 45 min in a drive thru to then find out my prescriptions was not in stock. It was eye drops and to make it worst the attitude is very nasty. If I could give this pharmacy no stars I would! Their employees are rude, unwilling to help, with attitude problems! This comment goes strictly for the pharmacy staff. I had to do a prescription transfer due to insurance complications with CVS and boy do I wish I could go back to CVS! I took my prescription transfer at 10am for my sick daughter, and by 6pm they still had done nothing about it! I called multiple times only to get attitude from their pharmaceutical staff. I explained the prescription was sent electronically by the hospital where I had been earlier that morning and unfortunately I could not take them a physical prescription as I did not have one. By the 6th phone call I was told plain and simple "I will not be calling CVS anymore because I don't have time and have to much to do, you call." Yes I'm the one interested but it is not my job to do their jobs for them! I will be taking my medical needs to a different Walgreens location. read more

Whenever I go into Walgreen's, I always feel flustered and highly irritated because everything and i do mean everything is usually a mess....maybe I'm biased from previously working at CVS. The pharmacist refused to accept any coupons on medication. When I asked why it was not accepted the pharmacist lied to me and told me that coupons are not available for my prescription. I switched pharmacies and was able to save about 600% on my prescription cost. I will never go to this pharmacy again. read more

I pick up my prescriptions at this Walgreens since it is the closest pharmacy on my way home from work and a 24 pharmacy! Everyone is very nice at this store, but there is always a long line inside or outside car pick-up for prescriptions! Can't win, I've been waiting now on my car for 40 minutes and finally next in the car line up! I even have enough time to write this review! Very sad . I perfer Walgreens over CVS and I've been faithful. Guys please get more help in the pharmacy to speed up customer service. Come on Walgreens you can do better, there is 3 registers and only 1 person in the front, in addition you only have 1 person attending to the car window when there is 2 lanes and I believe you have 2 registers at the window. Terrible phone etiquette. Sounds like you're speaking to a robot. When I complained that I've called daily for a week and gotten the same response about them not having a prescription in stock, the rep just kept repeating the same scripted response "call back the next business day to check". No alternatives, no options. Finally I found someone who was nice enough to transfer me to another store he said had it. They didn't and were bothered by my call. read more
