Someone I know received a prescription from the pharmacy at this location- the physical prescription had two different patient names on it. Someone who I know's name as well as another person's name who, for some unknown reason, didn't receive this medication but whose name sticker was left on it. It appears as though someone behind the pharmacy desk attempted to lightly scratch out the other person's name with what appears to have been a dried up permanent marker. The other patient's full name is still clearly visible. Middle initial included. This is a disgusting HIPAA violation. The privacy of the people who rely on this pharmacy should be of the utmost importance. read more

We were wanting to get the latest Covid shot and after several attempts at Walmart ( our prescription plan with) I stopped in at this Walgreens and sure enough, they have it. It was a little if a wait...not sure why...but we got our shot! read more

I decided to try walgreens pick up service since I had dealings with Walgreens in the past. I could not download the promo code to get 15% off my bill when I spend $30 dollars. I loved Walgreens. I have went there for Christmas shopping, CoVID vaccines and odds and ends. I am a glutton for punishment but I prefer Walgreens and Pulvix of the Big CVS. I just do know reason. I still shop at CVS. I have been going to this Walgreens for a couple of years. It has been on the way to my office for a while and I now live over in the area. The store has a 24 hour pharmacy which I absolutely love. The pharmacists have always been very helpful. The store itself is a good size, is always clean and has all of the basics. They frequently have good specials on household paper products. I have also stopped a few times for cards, candies and last minute gifts. They have never let me down in this area. My only criticism would be how long the wait can be to check out in the front of the store. I don't think I have ever been in when there is more than one cashier so this makes it a little inconvenient to get in and out quickly. This pharmacy takes FOREVER!! I use car line due to the fact that my kids are small and it's problematic to take small sick children into a store to get meds. The line is always so slow, often wrapped around front of the building. I also had them incorrectly measure my son's prescription. He was two doses short for a liquid antibiotic which resulted in his ear infection not fully clearing. Unfortunately the other drive thru pharmacy nearby is bad too. This is basically the only option, which is terrible. read more

After happily using the well managed Walgreens pharmacy in Fruit Cove for years, I'd forgotten how mismanaged the Walgreens at Oldfield Crossing is. Each car can take from 15 to 30 minutes, and the line inside is always long and moves slowly. Heck, even our Walgreens in Aventura (which is much, much busier than this one) is better on every level! Oldfield Crossing needs a new and experienced pharmacy manager. The wait in the drive thru is never less than 20 minutes, even with only one car at the window. Customer service is awful - if you complain about crappy service, their standard comeback is, "I don't like it either." They don't pay attention, get the wrong info every time, and seem to constantly be on break. Every other Walgreens in Florida is better than this one! Every CVS, Publix, and even Winn Dixie is better! What the heck? read more

Partial prescriptions filled with backorders getting dropped. substituting medications, extremely long wait- not even a simple "I apologize for the wait Prices are higher than Publix and Winn Dixie pharmacy's. I'm done with incompetent sarcastic employees. After tonight's poor service at the front register, I'm transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. The WORST Walgreen's in Jacksonville. Made 2:30pm online appt for Covid-booster. Went to Consult window for paperwork - She said you have to GET in line! - Seeing over 10 peole waiting for Rx pickup I said, I have a 2:30 appt. She said that doesn't matter, have to wait. I said, What's the purpose for appts? She said "they don't really make a difference!!" - So why did I get online and make a 2:30? - Said, just so we know? - That came from the short, flustered, dark haired women needlessly shuffling desk papers. So, got in line, came to counter, was told you now need to stand in Line #1 - where I originally started ! After 35 mins, I found the male store mgr. Told him, he said it looks like line is gone- I couldn't see, he must have x-ray vision. Returned, and found 9 people waiting, not Zero, and 3 others waiting for vaccines like me (now 12). Had enough with their 'Could Care Less' attitude- Manager and Counter persons. Have never found a Walgreens store Mgr that does nothing to resolve a problem. He was useless. - I will transfer my 8 Rxs to PUBLIX where respect and Customer Service is guaranteed, and my business is appreciated (with identical pricing). Went to the healthcare clinic here TWICE, the nurse is very slow, inefficient and rude. The computers weren't working, she didn't know how to use them well, nor did she know the answers to any questions we asked. You can't call the clinic directly, you have to go through the national line, and they gave me incorrect information about the availability of the vaccine I was looking for. Be prepared for a long wait, especially if you don't have an appointment. People were leaving out of frustration. Don't go here if you want timely effective service, even for simple immunizations. read more

Worst pharmacy around. I was told after dropping off a prescription I could come back in 1 1/2 hours to pick it up. I returned it that time I was told and it was not ready. They said it would only be a few minutes and to wait, they would call me back up. I wondered then why would it take an hour and a half and now it would only be a few minutes. After waiting 30 more minutes I went and asked what was going on and they informed me it was ready and they had forgot to tell me. Then I was told it was my fault that I should've just come back up a few minutes later. Ugh! read more

Great place for last minute OTC medicine. Open 24 hours. Has just about every basic needs item you can imagine. Occasional specials on paper goods, milk, snacks, and OTC. Convenient to Loretta and Greenland Road subdivisions. Doctor Phone-in or electronic Prescriptions are usually ready before I get home. They now take TRICARE. read more

We have been loyal Wal-Green customers for many, many years. NOT ANYMORE! We have never had a problem with Wal-Greens until we moved to Jacksonville. We used the Wal-Greens over on Oldfield Crossing Dr. The store Manager Mike Kincaid has always been snide and rude to me. The first time I met him, I was trying to return a defective pair of reading glasses. Before asking me if I had my receipt, which I did, he said "well, you can only store credit". When I told him I had my receipt. He replied "Well, you didn't say that". Very rude and unfriendly. That should have been a big, red flag. For a manger, he also dresses very sloppily. Dress shirts hanging out of his pants, bad grooming, etc. Not a good image for Wal-Greens AT ALL! For the past 4 months, we have been getting my husband's insulin filled. The insurance company, for whatever reason, had put a note saying "Needs Prior Auth". Every month, the pharmacist has been telling me I have to call and figure it out, which is very frustrating. The insurance company tells me it is an error on Wal-Greens part. Last night, I tried explaining to the pharmacist John Vurti, for the 5th month in a row, what they said. Instead of listening and trying to help, he immediately starts talking down to me about how it is my responsibility to know what the insurance covers and doesn't cover. I told him what the insurance company had told me that Wal-Greens was doing something wrong and that maybe they need to call and iron things out between them instead of me being the middle man between the two. He says how I have been screaming and yelling since I came to the desk, which I wasn't. Then said I was being nasty and rude, which I wasn't. Instead of giving good customer service, which would have diffused the whole situation, he made it worse by not listening and then insulting me. He was more interested in putting me in my place and arguing with me, then trying to figure out what was going on with the insurance. I will NEVER, EVER go to Wal-Greens again. The manager, Mike Kincaid, just smiled smugly at me, when I confronted him and asked him if he even cared. He said "Well, I certainly can't do anything if you don't tell me what's going on." These people don't care how upset a customer is or a customer is treated. They treat a customer like crap and push that customer to the point that they are upset and then blame the customer for being upset. They do not value their customers. I will be transferring ALL our family's medical needs to CVS where we have never been treated like this. read more

The drive thru pharmacy is convenient, except when they tell you your prescription will be ready in 30-45 minutes, then forget to enter it into the system. My poor dog had an infection that required some pretty serious pain meds and this location is right across from my vet. Went through the drive thru since my baby was in the car and was given the reasonable estimate of 30-45 minutes. I explained that I would drive around and be back since the 4 legged patient was I thinking he back of the car and the tech offered to sign me up for text notifications so I would be able to hop right over to pick up. I accepted, responded to the set up text and headed over to the Lowe's parking lot to sit under a tree with the AC blowing for the comfort of my canine companion. After an hour, I call to check the status and am told by another tech who answers that they do not see a prescription in the computer so it must not have transferred, but that doesn't make sense, since I dropped off a written script, and some other nonsense before he transfers me to another pharmacy tech. After a 5 minute hold, the original tech from the window answers and says she's having computer issues and puts me on hold to check the status. After a 10 minute hold, she picks up and says "It's filled and ready, I don't know why you didn't get a text. Must be the computer glitch." I explained how I'd been waiting in the car for almost an hour and a half with my poor pooch and she again blamed it on the computer. Now, all this seems really fishy, because as we were talking, I got that missing text saying my prescription was ready for pickup. Then upon picking up, the fill time listed on the order paperwork was.... The time I was on that 10 minute hold! Now, I understand that mix ups happen and that it can be stressful working in a retail environment, but if you make a mistake- own up to it! A simple apology goes a lot farther than a bad coverup and denial. Now that you've read my story of the evening, go fill your prescription elsewhere, unless your list of favorites includes sitting in the car with the engine running, wasting gas and counting cars. read more
