Many years experience with this establishment, Kroger is my main stay but a simple antibiotic and a simple controlled pain RX, Kroger could not make it happen. Had been to this Walgreens to make Christmas cards, on 3 different occasions, the tech could not get it right, blamed it on new machines, new technology. Did not want to return here but Kroger forced me to. Pharmacy filled prescription within 10 minutes, like the automatic system where your name is entered in the system to be glared at by all, like Baskin Robins of the Walgreen's genre. Having been in their system for 15+ years, my insurance card was not checked for accuracy, ACA has messed with everyone, but my address had changed, repeated it three times and sure enough it is wrong, double checked the bag to be sure I was not walking off with someone else's RX, but too pooped to go back and get the address done right. If small instructions cannot be followed, big ones can be problematic, thankfully this is not a big problem, just inefficient staff. read more

The pharmacist Sarah is by far the rudest human being I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I regrettably switched pharmacies because this location was more convenient. After not once but TWICE of unfortunate and disappointing experiences, I would gladly drive 100 miles on a bicycle, barefooted, with flat tires, in sleet to another Walgreens before ever going back to Spring Green. Twice now I have been told, "your doctor has cancelled your prescription" for two different prescriptions because they (Walgreens) were not refilling the correct prescription, even though I entered the information correctly! When I asked them to look again and make sure they were filling the correct dose the technician said, " oh it will be ready by such and such time!" My doctor did not cancel my prescription!! They have terrible customer service, never have the full prescription available, it is never ready when I go to pick it up on the date and time I was given by the automated message. And they never take responsibility for their lack of customer service! They even tried to give me a 90 days supply of insulin that they could't find because it had been left out on the counter for 24 hours instead of being put in the refrigerator! Absolutely the rudest pharmacist I've talked to. Doc sent prescription in yesterday afternoon and I called this afternoon (24 hours). Pharmacy said they had no prescription. When I mentioned the doc and the med she said Yeah we have that one but that my insurance would not cover the meds unless the doc changed the daily qty from 2 to 1. Suggested doc double the volume and change qty to 1. When I asked if they notified doc she said yea. I called doc and they never heard from them and said they'd call them back with the change. I called back to check if the doc called back and they said they did not have a prescription for me! Wtf! All she wanted was to get off the phone. I told her I had spoken to her about an hour earlier and she said she knew the prescription was there just that they did not fill it. She's rude, and did I mention...she's rude! I called 4 hours ago to have my daughters prescription transferred and the girl who answered the phone was rude and told me I needed to make the call to transfer myself, after I already called HEB in Houston and they said Walgreens would have to call them. This by far is one of the worst Walgreens I have ever had to use. My insurance changed this year so I had to switch. It is also the closest to my house. This location is in a very busy area of Cinco Ranch and serves thousands of homes, but I doubt they can keep customers. They have to be the slowest at filling prescriptions I've ever seen. Hours. It takes hours to fill basic prescriptions. Every time I go to pick up my Rx they forget to bill both of my insurances. Every time. They also completely shut down for lunch. Most pharmacies stagger lunch breaks as to not disrupt the flow of patients. Obviously patients are not top priority. Lunch is noted on a sign from 130-2pm. Today a small sign was up saying they would be back from lunch at 210. Just wonderful. Save time and drive to the Walgreens 5 miles away. Though that location isn't much better either read more

I arrived at the drive-thru of this Walgreens at 1:34pm. Mind you, Walgreens happens to be the 2nd largest pharmacy store chain in the US. I was told they were going to lunch and I could not pick up my prescription for another 30 min. I asked if this was the case for going inside and it was. If this were a "mom and pop" pharmacy I would be delighted to give them a lunch break but Walgreens? Come on. Ridiculous. The pharmacy was outstanding. My wife needed a dozen prescriptions filled only an hour and a half before closing on Christmas Eve. Since she was being discharged from hospital and most pharmacies were closed on Christmas, we were very worried about getting the Rxs done in time. I went to this Walgreens for my COVID booster (with an appointment). It was a debacle. The woman at the front of the pharmacy has no idea what she doing and she's incredibly rude. Stood in line. Acted like she was doing me a favor! Took my vaccine card. (Which made me nervous because she's not with it). Never asked me about the flu shot that I had also scheduled. Never took my insurance info. I was dismissed to the waiting room. I will say that the pharmacist that gave me the shot (and went to arrange the flu shot) was wonderful. THE STARS DO MEAN SOMETHING. One (1) star. This is a new location. New part of Katy. Id expect the new broom to still sweep clean. Here, it does not! I have purchased a few items here in the past. And befor I go on.... the Head Pharmacist and her assistant should be fired. I wanted a simple Flu Shot. I was told "hold on I need to ask the pharmacist if she has time cus we go to lunch soon". My jaw hit the floor. I saw a sign that said lunch was from 1:30 to 2pm. However it was 1:12. I told her "we have till 1:30 lets get this done." Her jaw then hit the counter. Apparently it must take 18 minutes to get ready to go to the 30 minute lunch. She seriously fumbled around with the computer for 10 minutes asking birthday insurance and what not. Kept losing my information on the screen. I have been to Walgreens 100 x in my life and they have my information. She was so set on lunch she could not get things done. I told her I would go somewhere else. She said "Okay by me". I asked to talk to her boss. I told her boss the situation and she said too me "What do you want me to do about it?". I replied "Your job.". As a supervisor she should have spent more time with the customer instead of figuring out her lunch plans with her subordinate. I told her that their lack of desire to help a customer was horrible and left. I have had two very frustrating experiences with the pharmacy. Both times I have waited the confirmed amount of time for pick up, and driven through to find that they don't have the medication in stock. No one bothered to send a text, email, or call to let me know either time. I had to find another Walgreens that had it, which resulted in 30 minutes on hold. I gave 2 stars because the second time the pharmacist called me back and had made sure the medicine was ready elsewhere in 15 minutes for pickup. Calling this Walgreens will also take up 20 -30 minutes of your time on hold or more. Faster to drive there. Am not getting any more prescriptions filled here. read more

This place is the capitol city in the land of The Worst. I have had the misfortune of having two surgeries this year. For one, we had to continually return to pick up pain med prescriptions that were just never filled within a reasonable timeframe. (I think my husband had to go back three times?) I was in excruciating pain. They didn't care AT ALL. Just today, my husband was told it would take fifteen minutes to fill a prescription. He was in there for nearly one hour. (I mean, just tell him to come back in an hour!) Every time I convince myself it won't be that bad, it's only prescriptions, etc. And every time we go back, it's the same lame thing. Prescriptions take an absolute eternity to fill; you can't count on them being filled before you show up in person half the time; there is no hurry or hussle or even concern about how long they expect customers to wait. Forget about using the pharmacy. I always have to wait an awful long time every time I come here. They told me they would have a RX filled in an hour, came back 3 hours later and they had not even started to work on it. They only have about 2 employees in the pharmacy most of the time. This is the only Walgreens I have seen in which they close the pharmacy for lunch. No offense to the employees, corporate should have built a full size store to support the demand of the area.
