This place is in dire need of help, especially the pharmacy. It usually takes a while to get someone for check out, and if you can't you gotta try checking out at the photo center or the pharmacy. The pharmacy itself has the biggest issues and problems... they're short staffed and it takes 10 minutes or more just to get through the line... Come on Walgreens, I know you can do better read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I always had a good relationship with other Walgreens, especially the one near my hometown. You could literally get everything within the hour but this Knightdale location is constantly plagued with delays, shortstaffed, unscheduled closings, long wait times to checkout inside the store in general, errors and confusiing mismatched text messages--like you get a message saying your prescription is ready but show up to a sign saying they are closed due not having a pharmacist or a sign saying you have to come inside because the drive thru window is closed due to having low staff. There is always a delay on meds and at least two day waits. They will literally keep you on hold forever, keep picking up line only to disconnect you so you have to start over again. You can have an appointment for shots and still get seen 30 mins later. I am not sure why they remain open with such short staffing issues. I complained to corporate and didnt even get a email response or phone call. I am currently researching what pharmacy gets good reviews in the county so I can transfer all my meds because its so exhausting. read more

The staff at the pharmacy is very rude. I called and was immediately put on hold had to call again because it hung up on me. Then when someone did answer and talked to me, they were very rude. They talked over me, did not listen to what I actually needed just proceeded to speak over me. I'll be going to CVS from now on. I came to Walgreens to print my headshot and resume for an audition I have in GA in a few days. Gideon, the manager, was so helpful from the time I walked into the store to the time I walked out! It was difficult and time consuming to upload the document onto their system, but he was so skilled that he figured out another way to get what I needed done! read more

PHARMACY IS AWFUL these people are the WORST and do not care about your well being. I came last night after going to urgent care and my doctor told me go fast so I can get my prescription. I can and they told me I can not get it because they don't have time to fill the prescription. I came back this morning 30 minutes after they are open and he tells me it won't be ready for another HOUR. So I go inside and the lady tells me no longer than 25 minutes. How does it go from an hour to 25 mins? I am currently waiting for meds I was supposed to get YESTERDAY. They guy who works the window is EXTREMELY RUDE and does not care about the well being of his customers. 0/10 experience thinking about changing to CVS because of this. read more

It's bad enough that they can't seem to keep enough staff and my wife and I have been tolerant of that but, now it's worse. They can't seem to keep important drugs in stock. The pharmacy here is a joke. The phone system is even worse. First, you wait on hold forever, only for someone to pick up and put you back on hold 2 or 3 times, until eventually it hangs up on you. This being the closest Walgreens to me, I have continued to deal with slow, unprofessional service. Those who work in the pharmacy are rude and uneducated to how insurance works. Every time I go there I have an issue with meds not being filled due to insurance approval or meds not available. Then I have to call my insurance and in turn they have to call the pharmacy to tell them how to process the claim. I've been using Walgreens for years. If I could rate this zero, I would. I called this morning at 9 am and was put on hold immediately told "there are more than 3 callers ahead of you...then there were 2....still on hold and still waiting. It's now been ~1 hour and just got a message that the pharmacy is closed for a meal break for 30 minutes. It's 10 am. This is insane! Everytime I go there is an issue. Most times, they don't run the rxx price correctly and I have to have them look up what I was charged the last time I got a refill. The drive thru is ridiculously slow. They have rxx drop off and rxx pick up going on at the same time they are doing COVID testing. This is the most unprofessional and mismanaged pharmacy I've ever experienced. I had to give them one star to post but the pharmacy is trash and really don't deserve any. My wife had dental surgery and took a prescription to this location for pain meds. Instead of telling her they were out of a specific drug and letting her go elsewhere to have it filled, they held her script and told her the order would be filled the next day. Never met anyone who has had dental surgery and would wait a full 24 hours to receive their pain meds - but I guess they think that's ok. If you're in the area, I would recommend Walmart or CVS - stay far away from this place. read more

Came in the other night and the crew leader-shift leader Jaenean was rude and nasty. The young lady who was ringing us out was so nice and kept apologizing for her shift leader. When ever you are talking to any customer, remind yourself that they are not your children. So I had to remind her how she needed to talk to adults. All of this came about when she was opening another register. It was only 3 people in the store that night. She walks out started pointing and being rude. Her attitude was uncalled for. The staff at this store is the most rude and incompetent group of people I have ever meet. I have had multiple instances at this store over the past few years, but always just overlooked it. Today some say was the straw that broke the camels back. I was at the window to get 5 prescription called in by 2 different doctors. I was told that three of them had to be filled 4 days later so I understand that this is the insurance, but I have been out of one of those prescription for more than 2 weeks. So someone is in the wrong there but that's doesn't matter to me I'll do without because not essential, so not a problem but the other two I really need. I was at the window at 4:30 and was told the two I could pickup was out of stock by a new guy I had never seen before. He looked lost finally another employee came to assist him but still told it was out of stock. I drove home 30 minute trip to find our that they texted my wife that at 4:25 that one of prescriptions was ready for pickup. So I went back to pick it up and bring to there attention what happen. When I asked to Speak to a manager she smiled and said that the manager wasn't there. So I told her the situation, her excuse was he was new. I said ok but not an excuse because he was assist by a long time employee. I suggested that maybe he needs more training or to be monitored. So I asked her could that 1 prescription could be forwarded to another store while she was looking for the one that they had. She turns around and tells me that I can figure out who has it on my own and tells me if I keep talking she wasn't going to give me the prescription that she had in her hand like she was God. This is not the first time we've had problems over the past years, but it will be the last as I will never return. I called 3 times and received a message putting me on hold and stating there was 3 or more calls in front of me. I put the phone on hold waiting and after 1 hr. 25 minutes hung up on 1st call. Called back 3 hrs. later and waited again 1 hr. 10 minutes then hung up again. Called back the 3nd time and waited 45 minutes and again hung up. Called back again but this time ask for the regular store manager and got a live person who then transferred me to the manager. Manager stated they were short staffed and just used the phone message because they did not have enough workers . I ask why wasn't more people scheduled and she said "I don't know " . If the were short staffed then a recording should of been updated and not leaving people in limbo. read more

This is the poorest excuse for a pharmacy, regardless of the location. I have tried for more than three years to give them the benefit of the doubt and repeatedly tried to have Rxs filled here. Absolutely zero customer service and attempting to get a COVID vaccine here is ridiculous. For a pharmacy to be in a program that is begging people to participate in vaccinations, the hoops one has to go through to get vaccinated here are beyond words. My 18 year old had his first shot here, and scheduled his second but when attempting to get the second one (that he scheduled the same day as the first) he's now standing in the store trying to find an email that they insist he produce. We have no record of this email so he's now got to reschedule. I'm so frustrated I want to walk out. I'll NEVER step foot in a Walgreens again. read more

Waited 45 minutes on hold to place a refill order for my daughter's medication. Received notification the next day. Waited in line almost an hour because none of the other patron's medications were ready. When it was finally my turn, only one was available. Had to wait another 20 minutes. There was a lady waiting that was waiting for her infant's medication that was also adopted to be ready. There were plenty of staff working. One of the pharmacy techs was absolutely rude and walked away from several people including me. Absolutely unacceptable. I transferred all of my family's scripts to CVS next door. read more

What is going on with the drive through at this location? I just sit there for 25 minutes while they were talking care of one car in front of me!! What is your policy? If the prescription isn't ready, they should have to drive around and come in. This was not a one time occurrence in fact the last 3 times I've been there, I've had to wait on one car at least 15 to 20 minutes! Terrible customer service in the pharmacy. I've been kept on hold for 40 minutes before. Dealing with the staff isn't any better in person. Once, I was told they didn't have my medicine in stock after I dragged my very sick self out of bed to come pick it up. I don't live very far away but when my head hurts so badly I can barely see straight, even a short drive is challenging. I don't know why they didn't inform me about my medicine being out of stock while they had me on the phone. Even on a good day, this pharmacy is still slower than most walgreens and very poorly run. This pharmacy is a nightmare. Came in for a flu shot and really wish I had gone to CVS instead. The lady at the register was so unfriendly. She didn't greet me. She never smiled once. She acted like she hated her job and like I was annoying her. I stood at the counter forever, and other customers came up and were not greeted either. Generally don't get prescriptions filled here, but it was late and they are open til 10. The store is clean and staff friendly. The pharmacist, Staci, was smiling and helpful (even at 9:30pm). I will consider returning here. Also, they have very good selection of food items and wine. read more

This is a very nice Walgreens. Where they compete with Wal-Mart, I usually prefer to come here. The prices are similar, and the store is easy to navigate. The only negative is that this location is a little hard to get into if you are coming from the west on 64. read more

This is the pharmacy I have to go to as I was a loyal Walgreens customer and the one located close to my house always seems to be out of the medications I need. The last two times I have gone to pick up my meds I have had a less than pleasant experience. The pharmacy staff is rude, condescending, and in all but one instance less than helpful. While I do realize that there are issues when it comes to doctors orders and insurance companies there is still no excuse for rude attitudes which I found a few of the pharmacy staff to possess with pride. It is difficult to wrangle two under two into the store for a pick up when there has been an issue with a refill only to find I will now have to wait "a few minutes" because it wasn't filled when it was approved 12 hours prior, and twenty minutes later on the brink of a two year old meltdown it still hasn't been filled. (There was no one else waiting in the store at the time.) The use of the drive thru was decidely an even longer wait based on past experience of being the only car and waiting more than 20 minutes for a tech to even pick up the phone to greet me. If you are in a hurry it is probably best to bypass this Walgreens in favor of CVS across the street! read more
