I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by my experience with the pharmacy at this Walgreens. My daughter has epilepsy and depends on her seizure medication to stay alive. Missing even one dose can be life-threatening. Due to a storm, the Walgreens location where her prescription was ready was closed, but another nearby Walgreens location was open. I called to ask--very politely--if it would be possible to access her medication at that store so she would not miss a dose. The employee who answered the phone, named Arlene, was shockingly rude and dismissive. After briefly explaining she would have to contact the other pharmacis, she rudely stated, "I don't get paid enough for this," and then hung up on me. This was not a minor inconvenience or a casual question. This involved a child's life-saving medication. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and concern for patient safety was alarming. I was left extremely distressed and shaken by the interaction. I understand that pharmacies can be busy and that policies exist, but no parent advocating for their medically fragile child should ever be treated this way--especially by someone working in a healthcare setting. I hope Walgreens takes this seriously and ensures better training and accountability. No family should have to experience this while trying to protect their child's health. They never answer the phone. I sat on the phone for 33 minutes as the next caller before I hung up. I went to the store and they said they were short staffed. That is always their reply. read more

Pharmacy is so much better than most of the Walgreens I have used in other cities. They sometimes have a mix up between communicating who put which refill in ~ but overall, usually reliable and helpful. read more

I come into this Walgreens at least 2-3x a week, if not more. They are usually always friendly and helpful. Most of the cashiers know me because we come so often. Also the Walgreen pharmacy staff, usually inform me personally when I have prescriptions that I forgot to pick up. I would suggest that they identify the sales/dea on items a little bit better and provide more local products, like school spirit (Hays) and college items (UT/Texas State). They've had the same stock for the last year. read more

The pharmacy at this location is terrible. I have been coming here for about a year now. My insurance changed a while ago and I had called twice to update my insurance with them. Both times I was told that my insurance had been updated and was now on file. I was then told months ago by one of the pharmacy workers that my new insurance did not cover my prescription and that I would have to have my DR switch my medication if I wanted to avoid the out of pocket cost. For months I have been paying out of pocket for my medication under the impression that my new insurance did not cover it. Fast forward, I was finally able to get in with my DR to request my medication be switched only to discover that the issue this entire time is that this pharmacy did not put my new insurance in the system like they said they did. I was very confused when picking up my medication today as I was being told that they did not have my new insurance on file. When trying to resolve this dilemma (calmly) with the worker assisting me, a female pharmacist (out of sight but heard loud and clear) had a lot of say about the situation and spoke in a incredibly disrespectful and condescending tone. I have never heard a pharmacist speak so unprofessionally. Not a drop of customer service skills in her. I asked her to come forward and speak with me directly since she clearly had a lot to say and she chose to remain out of my sight. Wise on her end because I would've grabbed her name and brought the issue to her superiors. This location would benefit from firing her because the way she was speaking to the younger employee that was trying to help me, tells me she is absolutely miserable to work with. No respect in her voice, no patience or compassion with my situation, just a short fuse and misplaced sense of superiority. Something tells me her incredibly poor attitude as someone in a position of higher power is definitely contributing to the dysfunction of this pharmacy. As for the younger woman in the pharmacy that was helping me, she was incredibly polite and patient. I feel bad that she has to endure that behavior from an older woman that SHOULD be setting an example for her. read more

I am extremely happy with this Walgreens location!! The staff is very friendly, always available, and eager to assist you in locating an item, if needed. The employees work as a team, and will be assisting the others with stocking shelves, but will immediately stop and run up to a register to check you out quickly, when you are ready. The store is large, well lit, and had ample parking, for its guests. The store is kept clean, well stocked, and in order. The pharmacy staff, is super friendly, and efficient. They go out of their way to fulfill prescriptions, ahead of schedule, and don't mind putting a rush on items immediately needed, which is a plus for when you have several monkeys running around, and bringing home "cooties" from school, camp, or wherever!!!! I also recently ordered some supplements from them, online, which does not reflect specifically on this store, but the company, as a whole, and was blown away!! 2 of my Catalina rewards didn't print and when asked about them, the two associates said, "Oh there's no paper in the machine, you'll need to contact customer service" So, why not put paper in the machine or use another register?!!!! Why check people out on a register knowing that machine doesn't have paper!!!! Poor customer service and this hasn't been the first time! read more

This Walgreens has been my favorite for 3 years now, but yesterday and today, I'm BLOWN away with gratitude! Shout out... and kudos to Walgreens on 2770 in Kyle! Walgreens - DRAVET Mom & Advocate - Drugstores Near Me - Kyle, Texas

After spending some time out, in the sun, I needed to get something to rehydrate what ever I may have lost. I wanted to save a little, in stead of a local fuel stop, so I came here - I was here the week prior (no issues) to find what drinks may be on sale. After finding a couple of Vitamin water drinks, two for $3, and another 99c drink I made my way to the cash register. I notice the cashier acting a little too proud, angled face position, of his first beard - he wasn't interacting with customers and hardly making eye contact as I came around. Anyhow I proceed to give the kid my items, I decline the plastic bag, and enter a phone number I believe is associated with my registered Walgreens card. {I'm not worried over the total} - it's $4.32 - I guess the 2 for $3 wasn't on. I ask the kid "did my phone # pick up" (aka - is is showing the discount). I didn't get a clear response. I mention that 'they' (Vitamin water) should be on sale 2 for $3. I get "you can walk back there and check..." Right. I'm a little too tired and entering another phone # saves me time & effort. Too much for this employee though. I'm not sure if customer service has become - 'you'll do great - the more you can ring up' - I always like the 'you'll do great - if you go that extra mile' - Of course that was just entering another phone # (reset). I then am asked if I need a plastic bag - for the second time after declining the first prompt. Am I being rushed out ?? Shesh. read more

This place is my go to because it's nearby. Usually, the pharmacy is great, but tonight was an exception. The hours show it is open until 10 p.m. tonight. I pulled in the drive at 10 minutes to close looking to get a script for my son. The window was open and light on, but nobody ever came to the window. Needless to say, my kid has to sit home sick without meds until tomorrow. Very disappointing! read more
