Great? Heck No Walgreens in Lakewood at 8224 Steilacoom Blvd Sw is AWESOME!!!!! Yes, they can have bad and good days like any other business. I have been going to them for over 30 years now. They have always been professional and if something is wrong, or I am not happy about something, I do talk directly to a supervisor or manager and calmly explain what happen and it has always been taken care of immediately. I do not want to see people unemployed, fired or hurt. I rather take the time and see if the person is new and maybe they just may need a little more training or make them aware of their actions. Management and all personnel on the floor working have always greeted their customers and ask if they can help. I know for a fact that pharmacy does the best they can under the circumstances of which they cannot control. As for being rude, no I have never encountered that in any department of this Walgreens. Besides Walgreens: you are the heart of this community here in Lakewood Washington. I, as well as many others DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOU CLOSE OR MOVE!!!!! WE NEED OUR WALGREENS!!!!! My family, friends, co-workers and others that I have recommended over the years, asking them to come to this Walgreens; has made many very happy of my suggestion!!! This Walgreens, in particular the pharmacy staff, are so professional, nice and helpful! One time the pharmacist noticed I could get a significant discount from the manufacturer on a very expensive medication and signed me up for their program on the spot, saving me $700! I had received the same prescription from a different Walgreens and they never mentioned a discount program. These folks are the best! read more

One lane of drive thru is broken, but you don't realize that until u pull up to it. Then u have to back up, potentially run into someone, lose place in line. How hard is it to post a sign that is VISIBLE that your lane is closed? Or better yet, just get it fixed. Often times one waits 5 minutes or longer before anyone assists you, usually no acknowledgement over their intercom (hello???). It used not to be that way. New management, less employees; who knows. What kind of garbage are you hiring over in the Pharmacy. They have not one shred of customer service etiquette. Rude rude rud freakin rude, I went in there today to pick up a prescription. When it was my turn that rude pos agent proceeded to slam the damn door on my face while telling me "we ah go n to lunch". All the while I am talking to her and she is closing the gate in my face. then she and her coworker walk out looking at me like how dare I and laughing. Their garbage boss just let the. not one freakin once or iota of customer service etiquette. yall must have been hard up for employees to hire them. then I come back for my meds that the VA should have covered and the timid lady at the window was nervous as hell trying to help. She tried I didn't make it easy but then her whatever came over to rudely tell me that "we don't blah blah blah with the VA". Thanks for the disdain you showed for that btw. I am not asking for special privilege, not at all but when a Veteran askes you to call the urgent care that sent me to you then you should have said: "can I get the number give me a minute". Nope, instead, I got a freakin attitude and no help. Never again will I go to this garbage pharmacy acting like their certs and diplomas means their sht don't stink, GTFO. We are at your mercy and you want to act like gods because you hold our prescriptions, shame me for thinking you were professionals, and shame on you for not being professional. The pharmacy closes at 1:30 for lunch which is totally reasonable. However, i called them to ask a question and after being on hold for 5 mins, a male finally answers. In the middle of my question he cuts me off and says it's time for lunch so I have to go. It literally just turned 1:29. I was almost done with my question. I want to give credit where it's due. Im a new diabetic and I'm very scared. I went in there to find things to help me and this cashier named Hayley talked to me about what I'm going through. She was an absolute sweetheart. I started crying because I'm scared and overwhelmed, her kind demeanor and words of encouragement soothed me. I have been to this Walgreen NUMEROUS times and it's never a hassle. The last time a few days ago I went in to get something, I was checked out by the makeup counter. I heard her come over the loudspeaker and went over. When I walked over she turned to see if anyone was coming that way and took a big sigh when she saw me. I said hello and made another remark, to which she replied "mhmm​". I was put off by it since she acted like she had better things to do than check me out. Customer service is actually important to me. This was not good customer service. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and thought maybe she had a bad day. Even still, pretend you're having a good day. Customers don't come in to be subject to the ups and downs of your mood. -1 star because it's usually alright other than that. read more

This location offers many services typically offered by any Walgreens. There is a drive through pharmacy that provides pretty quick service. The have a photo lab that produces fantastic pictures. I use the Walgreen App to select pics from my iPhone to be printed at this location. It only takes an hour for the photo lab to produce your photos. Overall great friendly service. read more

Our neighborhood go to. We live up the street and go here nearly everyday. We know all the workers. You can usually count on the lines being long, but always nice.
