Avoid this pharmacy location if at all possible. Probably not individual workers fault since it seems they cut staff size. Expect to wait a long time to get Rx no matter what time of day. Some employees are rude. In process of moving all my Rx and refuse to go back into that store. read more

My 68 year old mother had surgery today. She dropped off her perscription for pain pills at noon. At 8 30 it still wasn't ready even tho the pills were in stock at the store. She spent all day in serious pain waiting for them to call. I had to call from LA where I live and sit on hold for the pharmacy for 45 min then hang up and call back and ask for make up in order to get a person. I finally got a manager who put me on with the pharmacist. He tells me they knew hours ago moms insurance wouldn't pay for the pills but they never called to tell her. It took me calling from out of state, livid to get an answer. This is bull s#!t. read more

Completely worthless pharmacy! The pharmacy tech was extremely rude and the pharmacist just stood there and allowed it. Went in 20 minutes before they closed and it was completely dead. Everyone was standing there looking at each other. I needed a prescription for my extremely sick infant and they refused to fill it until the next morning. I guess their conversation about Easter was far more important than my projectile vomiting infant. read more

I have been using this Walgreens (Durango and Deer Springs) for a few years, I have paid cash mostly over the years without insurance. I am wrestling with Obama care and cant afford private insurance, so I have turned to medicaid for the time being to help me cover some of my medical costs. I shared that with the pharmacist, her name was Rena and she very loudly proclaimed that Walgreens does participate with government insurance and I'd have to take my Rx to CVS. I quietly told Rena that I would go ahead and pay cash for it and she told me that Walgreens would not fill my RX because I had government insurance. She wouldnt let me pay cash ?!?! Rena was loud, everyone in the waiting room could hear her, I even got looks of pity as I walked out. As I walked out she shouted "have CVS call me". I felt like I was a second rate citizen. I left while everyone in line was looking at me, utterly embarrassed. I called from the parking lot, to let her know how embarrassed I was, hoping for an apology, or something showing me she was human. She told me that she didn't embarrass me and hung up the phone. I came home and called back hoping to get someone else to ask for her managers name, she gave me the first name but she wouldn't tell me his last. She said she "didn't have to", She informed me she was going to hang up, and hung up again. I have contacted cooperate and will await their response. I have never been treated with such disrespect and lack of compassion, I am writing this today in hopes that no one ever has to feel the way I felt this morning. read more

We have never had a problem with this pharmacy before, until today. I recently had an insurance change, meds had to be reapproved. Simple enough? No. Between calling the dr, insurance company and the pharmacy repeatedly, we deduced the pharmacy was falling short. So, let's move on, everything is straightened out, approvals are communicated. I finally pick up the meds, only to find two of the bags were of the same medication. I go back to get the 2nd med and return the other. I get a lecture of what the missing med is for and it's different uses. I am also told that the meds were picked up already, I cannot fill the script again. No they were not. One med was a liquid, the other pills. All I have in the bags are pills. When they realize what happened, the pharmacist offers to quickly fill the liquid med request. But in the process, one of the pharmacist assistants finds the correct bag of medication and gives it to me. It had been ready to go all along. They had given me incorrect meds. Not good practice if you ask me. With all the medication available in a pharmacy, this is slightly concerning don't you think? read more

For someone coming from the ER across the street with a prescription for an infant, you would think certain people would have sympathy about trying to fill an order, even if it is 10 minutes BEFORE closing time. My review must be prefaced with the statement that Walgreens is one of my favorite stores. From the unbelievable candy selection to the unique revolving inventory during each major holiday, this corner drugstore has a little bit of everything. If you can get past the ocean of blue hair and the overpowering aroma of Ben-Gay, Walgreens is a great place to kill some time. Who hasn't spent 30-45 minutes wondering the gleaming, waxy aisles, checking out the "As Seen On TV" swag, thumbing through corny greeting cards, and perusing the $5 "collectible" figurines? But this particular Walgreens is a lump of coal in the shimmering sea of diamonds that this iconic chain of pharmacies has grown to become. Let's start with the ridiculous parking lot. IF you're lucky enough to find an open space close to the entrance, you better hope you've played enough Frogger to avoid the fleet of amateur Jeff Gordon's racing across the asphalt. Otherwise, be prepared to park behind the building, where a few poorly-lit parking spaces just scream "MUG ME HERE!" Too few, tightly packed spots make shopping at this location a major inconvenience. Once inside, the store is just like every other Walgreens you've ever been in - with one discerning and disconcerting difference. This particular Walgreens is staffed by some of the rudest, least-helpful people that have ever darkened the registers in the history of retail sales. I walked up and down the aisles more than 5 times, passed no less than 4 employees (I went by one employee 3 separate times), looking for a specific product. Not once was I greeted nor was I asked if I needed assistance finding something. When I finally got tired of trying to find this item myself, I asked one of the staff where in the store I could find this particular product. Without saying a word, she let out a loud, heavy sigh and began walking away. I wasn't sure if I'd insulted her, inconvenienced her, or if I just smelled bad and she was filling her lungs so she could hold her breath while she was in my presence. But like a good puppy, I followed behind her and was led directly to the item I was looking for. I muttered a half-hearted "Thank you," to which I received nothing in return. She sighed again, and without a single word, she went about her duties. I approached the counter, and once again, was met by another employee who had apparently told too many lies in his lifetime and had had his tongue forcefully removed. I jest, but the cashier said nothing - not "Hello," not "How are you today?," not a word. He scanned my two items, stated my total as if he was confessing some horrible crime, and sent me on my way. Now, granted, I have no idea what's going on in these people's personal lives that might possibly be affecting their day at work. But my assumption is that they're intelligent enough to know that how they treat their customers directly impacts the likelihood that we become repeat customers. Let's face it - Walgreens is expensive. I can get the same tube of toothpaste at Wal Mart for $2.00 less. But I shop at Walgreens for convenience and because I enjoy browsing the shelves for cool stuff. But I'll gladly save some money and hazard the lines at MegaLoMart if it spares me the experience of being treated like a second class citizen. read more

This Walgreens is so horrible every time we have to stop in. The pharmacy is a nightmare. You wait minimum 20 mins for a pick up, half the time they give you no info on your meds, if you ask for info or instructions the pharmacists either refer you to call your doctor or give you wrong info. I made a purchase a few days ago and within 10 minutes of leaving the store I realized the clerk double charged me for an item. So I drove back. Somehow the clerk was unable to give me a refund because the receipt (for items purchased 20 min prior) wouldn't scan properly. The manager on duty was called over. He too was baffled as to why he could not refund me my money. He apologized profusely and said would you mind if I have you a Walgreens giftcard with the money I was owed. I was very understanding and said sure. Unbeknown to me, as I was not informes by the manager, I would not be able to purchase certain items with the Walgreens giftcard. So today I go into Walgreens to purchase an item I wanted. Well guess what?! Now I'm told, "Sorry you can't use your money (the giftcard they had to give me in order to refund the money they owed me for wrongly ringing me up) for what you want to purchase". Again the same manager comes over to help fix my issue. And again he can't! He repeats that I cannot purchase what I want with the giftcard they gave me. Ridiculous. read more

Called at 630p for a 1 year old prescription. Male representative said it would be ready after 730p. Show up at 830p. Get told they don't have it at this location. Then speak to a manager only to get laughed at because I'm upset. The manager would not call another Walgreens to fill the prescription. Worst customer service ever!!! read more

Walgreens ad dated 8/21 - 8/27/16 shows Aussie Hair Care products 2/$5. However, they have a digital coupon for $4 off on their website which you have to "clip" to your rewards card making the product 2/$1. I understand sometimes the "Walgreens" system has a hiccup. However, it was suggested to me by other managers in the past that if I have proof such as a printout or if they can see it on my phone that I clipped the coupon, that it will be honored. So yesterday, I visited Walgreens at 6825 N Durango Dr/Deer Springs to get this deal. I was also prepared by having my Walgreens account on my phone should any problem arise to show "proof" I clipped the coupon. Well last night, 8/26/16 at 8:15pm as I was checking out, this problem appeared so I had to speak with the manager. The manager's name who I dealt with was Michelle. I showed her my "proof" on my phone that I "clipped" this coupon. She said there was nothing she can do as she would need a "manufactures coupon" to get this deal or the system has to accept it. I told her that in past incidents, other managers have honored my "proof". She once again said there was nothing she can do. As I see it: 1. She is an inexperienced manager and did not know how to correct the problem in their system in which case she needs additional training. 2. She was too lazy to correct their system and didn't want to further "adjust" their system as it would require more of her time. 3. This store and certainly "Michelle" are "coupon unfriendly". In the past, I have asked a manager whether the store loses money when a shopper uses a coupon and the response I got was no. As a frequent Walgreens shopper, I left this store upset and extremely disappointed. I am asking that Walgreens staff please honor your ads and deals especially when there is proof being shown to you. Also, train your staff to be more "coupon friendly" with users and not make us feel like we are a burden to your job. And Michelle, I hope you find a job that you are happy at because your lack of "customer service" speaks volume on how you feel about working at Walgreens. read more

Don't use this Walgreens for prescriptions. I've been on hold for 20 minutes and have called twice. The first time someone picked up the phone and immediately put it on hold without even saying hello. They filled a prescription that has already been picked and I'm kindly wanting to tell them I already picked it up. However I cannot get a hold of anyone....very frustrating. I believe the unprofessionalism of the pharmacy employee or lack thereof of, is a reflection of the poor work environment or lack of management. I ended up contacting someone via the Walgreens.com Customer Care chat and my issue was resolved within minutes. As I try to save the jobs of locals in our community by speaking to someone on the phone at the local pharmacy, it was proven tonight that the technology world is surpassing the local interaction. read more

I've been filling prescriptions here for well over a year now and my experiences have been positive for the most part. However, today there was a mix-up between my doctor and the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy and within 30 seconds of me trying to explain the situation, the gentleman cut me off and was very impolite. I responded all of his short and rude questions and remarks and asked for his name, which was Irv. Nothing too crazy, however I'm disappointed in the lack of customer service and respect for customers. read more

This Pharmacy location is getting worse by the day. The wait time is ridiculous! Today we dropped off multiple prescriptions the pharmacy clerk said it will take about an hour and a half (dropped off at 1pm-ish). I received a text message, my husband went to pick up the prescriptions and the pharmacy clerk said prescription's were not ready and to come back in 20minutes. My husband said I'll give you 40 minutes. He returned only to wait back in line again for another 15 minutes only for the same clerk to say it was not ready again!!!!! the clerk checked again and found 2 of the 4 ready. This is ridiculous if they cannot fill the prescriptions in a timely manner then they should say so instead of giving the customers the run around and to give a better timeline. It is very frustrating to drive back and forth to the pharmacy only to be told your prescriptions are not completed. THEY SHOULD BE MINDFUL OF THE CUSTOMERS TIME, WE ARE ALL BUSY PEOPLE AND DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO SPEND ALL DAY GOING BACK AND FORTH TO A PHARMACY! we have been going to this location since day one they opened and it's been disappointing as the years have gone by. The worst Walgreens thus far! I should have stuck with Walmart with a further distance. Pharmacy opens at 8am yet at 9:10am all their windows are still closed. I figured I would try the drive-thru and after being the only one in line waiting for 5+ mins for someone to show up to the HALF CLOSED window I was greeted with a less than professional manner. Before I could speak or hand over my daughters prescription the lady barked off that she didn't have a pharmacist in so prescriptions won't be filled until the afternoon. I asked if it would at least be filled by 12 noon since that's 3 hours away. She barked back that the pharmacist doesn't even come in until 12 noon so don't expect it to be filled until late this evening if not by tomorrow afternoon. WOW! We went from this evening to tomorrow afternoon. No offer to go to the next closest one. No thank you for your business. No I apologize for the inconvenience. Just the piss poor service I would expect from a teenager at McDonald's! read more

This pharmacy sucks. They are always super slow. I was told my prescription would be ready in about an hour. After two hours I called to see what was going on as I hadn't been notified it was ready. I was on hold for over 20 minutes. I decided I was better off just going in. Imagine my surprise that there was NO line and yet somehow they lost my prescription. Now I am sitting here waiting for it to be filled. The best part is a girl behind the counter is complaining about customers. Hey maybe if you guys weren't terrible you wouldn't have so many complaints. Bonus: the parking at this Walgreens is awful. Go somewhere else! read more

This Walgreens has the worst service ever! I don't mind waiting what I do mind is driving around town to a Walgreens that's within 5 miles of my home. I have used this Walgreens for myself and this was the 1st time I've came to place a prescription for my child, and due to my child not being in their system like I am I was forced to drive the opposite direction to have meditation filled. Remind you I'm only 6 miles from this Walgreens, I called another location just to see if this was a policy they have and it's not, however they like to save meditation for people that's already in their system which is fine, but I also or I should say my child could've been a potential customer and been placed in the system just like I am! Don't have someone wait 15 minutes and turn them away to wait another 15 minutes at a different location. Clearly you have bad reviews for a reason, and you need to do better before people start going to another pharmacy all together. read more

Worst pharmacy there is I only go there because it's so close to my house cvs destroys this place went there to fill my wives script the other night because she's pregnant and needed her nausea Medication and high blood pressure medication so they said about an hour and a half which is fine no big deal I go back in about two hours to pick it up guess what still not ready I waited another twenty minutes only for them to tell me that the high nausea meds was out of stock but the wall greens down the street had it But it would be ready in another 45 minutes so instead of using my number on file to call me and ask if i wanted them to fill the script at the other place they waited for me to get there instead so it took me about 3 hours to fill two scripts while my wive was throwing up the entire time what a night to forget Go to cvs you will be a lot happier read more
