I walked in and got both covids AND a flu shot at the location at Lake Mead and Buffalo. For the last 2 weeks Walgreens has sent me through so much red tape, phone calls, and angst to try to get the booster which I thought was kind of important but Walgreens #3922 doesn't feel the same. No more walk INS...all by appointment. Ok but I am having trouble internet wise and refuse to make another call just to get the runaround. I know there are openings for this Friday but they told me that can't do ANYTHING about getting me an so UNLESS it's done online. Horribly inconvenient pharmacy. Called to refill a prescription and lady tells me it'll be a 2 hour wait and that I should receive a text when it's ready. I then wait 4 hours with no text and call the store again to make sure its ready for pickup (since I have this issue with them every month) just to find out it was never actually put in and that they're now out of stock for my medication and will have to wait until they get their new shipment. No accountability from anybody when I ask for answers or to see what the problem is. Not to mention the 40+ min wait time to pick it up when it actually is ready. I've been to this location many times and I've always found what I'm searching for. Sometimes I've had prescriptions filled at this location. My insurance company then changed to a competing pharmacy, so now I shop at them for other items such as OTC medicines, feminine products and sale items (use coupons when I can). It's a good street corner location. Parking lot is about half full every time I go there. I've always received friendly service. read more

I've had plenty of bad experiences with Walgreens but this was unbelievable. I went to pick up a prescription that she received a text for saying it was ready, when I showed up they said they were behind and asked if I could come back, so I did, I returned 1 hour later and they said that they filled the prescription but I couldn't pick is up for 2 more days. If it was to early that was fine but after a text saying it was ready and actually being told to come back I wanted to know why they were waisting my time. I also want to give a shout out to Greg (likely a store or shift manager), he was so responsive to move folks around and even pitch in himself; whether it was store help, checkout or pharmacy assistance. He is a master of "operations"! I have used this location for more than 20 years. The customer service has declined substantially in the last year. They are very busy, and their pharmacy techs make lots of mistakes. Don't expect an apology; you will not get one. It is very common for you to receive an e-mail and phone notice that your prescription is ready; then, when you drive there, it's not ready and you may have to wait another day or so because no one checked the insurance status or they misinterpreted the insurance status. I am seriously considering, after 20 plus years, changing pharmacies. I hate to, because I like having a 24 hour pharmacy. read more

My wife and I have been going here since we moved here in 2001. It used to be good. Now, the Pharmacy staff is not so friendly. I don't go here for prescriptions anymore. They were losing my prescriptions or not having it ready after they sent me a text to pick it up. Now the same thing is happening to my wife. They say that they never got any request for a prescription after they send her a text to pick it up. I have CVS now. They always have my Prescription ready. Went to the Walgreens Pharmacy the other day to get some pricing so that I could consider moving all of our families prescription business there. I was told that they couldn't get me any drug pricing until after I transferred my prescription. After being told that I'd just like a cash price to allow for comparison purposes. They said that doing so just wasn't there policy. I can only think that their prices must be excessive since there's no other reason for failure to share pricing that I can think of at this time. Was able to get pricing online from Costco, Sam's club and WalMart. I'd urge anyone who needs to be concerned about how much they spend on healthcare to compare drug prices before continuing to overpay any provider who charges too much. Run away healthcare costs are endemic in this society. I believe that the lack of price transparency in one major contribution factor in that situation. It's truly disappointing that Walgreens doesn't take what I consider to be a more customer service related approach. read more

The photo tech guy told me the other day that they were available to take passport photos 24/7 so I decided to come back another day since I was wearing a tank top and he turned me away due to not wearing a shirt with a different collar. He was apparently too lazy to tell me the actual hours the photo people were available because they were not, in fact, available 24/7. Thanks for wasting my time as I trusted the word of an employee thinking I could get this done right before my road trip and now am unable to until 7AM. Made an appointment for their healthcare clinic for 8am.... the first appt. We arrive at 7:50am and check in to their kiosk. The nurse arrives late at 8:02am. She looks like she just woke up. Then she tells us that she's not ready and we'll have to wait. Wtf?! It's 8:10am and she still hasn't come out of her office. If somebody starts work at 8am, shouldn't they be ready to work at 8am? Finally seen at 8:15am with no "thank you for waiting" or "sorry for waiting". And then, due to a new computer software system, we're not actually seen until 8:41am. read more

This pharmacy does not have a privacy barrier to discourage other shoppers from sticking their nose in your business. Which is what happened as I tried to conduct business with the hostile pharmacist. I asked her a routine question about my prescription. You shouldn't have to pry information out of a customer service person. She had a horrible scowl on her face. "I'm just asking for information," I told her. "Why are you copping an attitude?" At this point a shopper joined in the discussion and took the pharmacist's side! I don't know if they knew each other. The two women proceeded to gang up on me! Way to go, Walgreen's! Way to win loyal customers. Naturally I transferred my prescription to CVS down the street. Maybe I'll have better luck with them. I have never been to a pharmacy that is so incompetent as this one. I literally get an Rx filled here every single month, and every single time they lose my insurance information, lose the Rx, request the info from me again and then lose it again within a matter of hours! Every time I ask who it is I continue to give my personal info to including DOB and social and every time they cannot seem to figure out who it is! I am currently sitting at the window in the drive through waiting again for my RX and have been sitting here for over 1/2 an hour and no one has helped me! It's literally insane. read more

They've got a wide selection of cheap cosmetics, and an even bigger section for cough and cold meds, but it's so EXPENSIVE! I mean, except for the cosmetics. They have everything you need for your sniffles, but you'll need a second mortgage on your house before they're done with you! And the pharmacy is really really slow.. And again, expensive. If you go to the clinic here, do yourself a favor and fill your prescriptions somewhere else. Walmart is cheap, and if you hate Walmart, Smith's is surprisingly affordable. Seriously, even the clinic staff will advise you to go elsewhere. It's really more 2 1/2 stars, but I'll bump it to 3, simply because of the selection and the fact that they have a clinic right in store. You can't beat if for convenience. read more

This Walgreens is just ok. The store itself is very clean and organized, the cashier are also most of the time nice and helpful. The pharmacy is another story. I've dealt with both walk up and drive thru and the customer service is atrocious in both areas. The drive thru is much worse, fyi. I have a script that I drop off every single month, and for the most part they have it. This medication is usually back ordered some places, so I have to come here... barf. Any who, one time I was in the DT and the pharm tech let me know my medication was not in stock, I asked if they had it in any other WGs and she said she didnt know. BUUUUT she went above and beyond for this male in the car next to mine. LAME. Again, my medicine was out of stock and again they wouldnt call other locations, so I asked for my other script I had dropped off... they couldnt find it nor was it in their "log" they keep. 10 mins later the rude pharm tech found it and told me to come back in an hour. Like I said, the pharmacy is hit or miss... mostly miss for me, but the store is pretty decent. Take your scripts to an independent pharmacy like Spring Valley or to Target where theyre actually super nice! Yay! read more

I had foot surgery yesterday and had a horrible night of pain. I had the same surgery on the other foot earlier this year. The early surgery had virtually no pain and I expected the same with the new surgery. This morning I called my doctor about some pain meds. She sent an order Tramadol around 1pm. By 4:30 I hadn't heard anything, so I called. I talked to a technician, who politely told me the lake mead and buffalo was out of the product. She told me to hold on and a pharmacist would let me know when they would be restocked. Needless I was in pain and I was pissed. I waited and the phone rang. It rang and rang, but no one picked up. After 5 minutes of ringing I hung up and called back. I got another technician and again I was put on hold. I waited and waited and no one ever answered. Again I called back, now I'm livid, and asked again for a pharmacist. This time I finally got one, who couldn't help me and transferred me to the store. I finally got to talk to the pharmacist, who told me he had the product in stock. My beef is the following: Why didn't someone at the call center verify the store was out of the product? Why didn't someone at the call center contact me or the doctor that the product wasn't available, since it was a pain medicine? If I hadn't called, I probably still be waiting! Walgreens needs to review their policies and procedures when computer programs indicate a store is out of product!
