We were visiting Vegas for the holidays and needed to run to the local drugstore to grab a couple of quick items. Nothing too complicated so we expected to get in and out even though it was Christmas Eve. First of all, the in stock status of most of the product in this store was either one or zero. Literally binary. Not sure if that is a strategy to reduce the amount of dollars they believe they are losing in shrink, but whatever they are losing in shrink and theft, it probably pales in comparison to the people that turn around and leave simply because they don't have much product on the shelf. The other thing that is always hard to navigate in Walgreens is the amount of sales tags. It is super difficult to figure out what's on sale, what's not on sale and what item you are grabbing actually matches the tag below it. They really need to rethink their merchandise and strategy long-term. And even with two cashiers, this was a 5 to 10 minute process of getting through the register. I know stores like Walgreens are in some cases. one of the only national retailers in many communities like this, but they have to do a better job and quit taking their customers for granted. read more

I have been a customer of Walgreens for 25 years because it is close to my home, however after the run around I am receiving over a needed prescription I am changing to a different company. Shame on Walgreens. I phoned day before yesterday, they said it would be in the next day. I stopped last night after 9 pm because its still not showing processed. I was told that they had to order it and it wouldn't be in until Thursday...four days after the initial order. Why wasn't I notified? Why wasn't it ordered at the time when I called the first time. There are other issues I have had, but this just takes the cake. You are messing with my health! Good Bye!!! read more

Mr. Wong, the Pharmacist at the Cheyenne / Jones Walgreens, has advised me for many years on OTC & prescription medications. This is a very busy location for prescriptions & Mr. Wong is always ready to inform his customers & answer their questions in a complete manner. His advice has always been 100%+. When I visit this pharmacy, I try to have patience whereas it is a very busy place with many customers. I feel they do their best to accommodate everyone. If I could give 0 stars I would. Everytime I come here to pick up a prescription they are difficult. Today I came this morning after I got a messege my medication was ready and it wasn't so I come back later in the afternoon when they said it was ready again. I waited up to an hour because they "couldn't find" where the last pharmacist put the medication. After I complained to a staff member the pharmastist came over and gave me attitude and said they still have to run the pharmacy and can't take long trying to find it. Which is completely ridiculous they need to be more organized. The same staff member and pharmasist were also talking shit about me under their breath. Then they proceeded to tell me since they couldn't find it they had to re-fill and I would have to come back yet again the next day. Which is making me miss 2 days of my medication. Completely ridiculous!!! DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNORGANIZED not to mention they always have long lines since they clearly can never find the medications they have just filled. read more

They got worse. Didn't think it was possible. Three tries to pick up ONE prescription. And to find a manager is entirely impossible. Mr. Wong, I'm told. Now they're accuing me of having canceled medications. It's a pick-up for a non-mobile patient. I'm getting sick of dealing with these pharmaceutical non-helpful check collectors and cashers. He always multi tasking, very nice and doesn't mind answering any question that you have!! Not even the managers that works there are that friendly!!! Rude and nonchalant staff, long wait times while they stand around and do hardly anything except gossip about other workers not working, and the ATM is broken. They say "ATM is thru a 3rd party" yet they don't call them to come repair it so how would they know? Waste of time and gas. read more

This is an update to my previous review. In the last year, customer service and product availability has degraded to a point where I am rethinking this location as my goto Walgreens. It should not be a challenge to keep ample supply levels for fast moving common medications, but for this location, apparently it is more than they are capable of doing. read more

Yesterday, 24 Feb 19 I experienced a dead battery at the parking lot of Walgreens at 6100 Cheyenne (corner of Jones and Cheyenne). I installed the new battery, but the vehicle still would not start. At that time Security Guard Jason appeared and volunteered his assistance. He advised that while attempting to start the vehicle he would hit the starter with a club and maybe that would start the vehicle. Sure enough, Jason was able to get the vehicle started and I was on my way. Although I later had to replace the starter, thanks to Jason, I was able to move my vehicle from parking lot to my house without increased cost. We just moved and I transferred my prescriptions to the store on Cheyenne and Durango in Las Vegas, NV. I have 3 prescriptions plus a sleeping pill since I'm a chronic insomniac. I called 3/2/21 to make sure my prescriptions transferred because neither the clerks at the other location on Desert Inn or Cheyenne could confirm that the prescription transfer was successful after moving. When speaking to the old store, they said the new location had to request the transfer so I went and waited in line, again, to request it. When I spoke to the new location, they said I had to go back to the old location and request them to send it to the new location...... back in line I went to the old location. Hence, I had already spent a lot of time in line, waiting. Nothing seems to ever be done in a reasonable time frame with Walgreens. I called yesterday, 3/2/21, to make sure when my sleeping pill would be refilled since it is classified as a controlled substances. I asked them WHEN it would it be "eligible" to be refilled? It was a question, not a statement so they told me when it would be ready (3/3/21). I spoke directly with the clerk on the phone gave her all my information and they said it would be ready by 8am on 3/3/21. I got in line in the drive-through at 3:50pm and literally was still in line at 4:35 (+) and there was only one car in front of me!!!! That is well over 45 minutes for sure!! I couldn't get out of line because there was a car behind me and the patio cover column next to me that blocked my escape. Basically I was stuck for over 40 minutes in line only to drive away empty handed. They told me they couldn't refill my prescription for 3 more days despite the fact that I was told it would be filled by 8am that morning. Its a freaking sleeping pill not pain killers and what the hell for both for the misinformation and the extended freaking time in line. No one should be able to sit in line and wait for a prescription to be refilled.....either drop it off or just pick it up.....not hold up the line while the prescription is being filled. I will be moving my prescriptions to somewhere else because their wait time is freaking crazy and unacceptable. read more

I am disappointed in this walgreens as my roommate needed some prescriptions as after waiting for a couple of hours he called them asking if they were ready and was told that they were. When we got there, We found out that they were not ready and had to wait an additional half hour for these prescriptions. read more

This location does not accept manufacturer coupons for Marlboro's. Management was very rude when I asked them why, since other locations do.

This is regarding the Pharmacy at this location. Yesterday, Jan. 13, 2020, I took a written prescription to be filled. I used the drive thru window as I am disabled. This was at 11:30 am. The Pharmacy Tech asked me to wait while she made sure the meds were available, told me I could pick up my meds in 1.5 hours as they were available. I returned to the Pharmacy at 1:10 pm and another Tech tells me that they are totally out of my medication!! He said I could come back in the morning, Jan. 14, 2020, to get my meds. It is now 9:58 am, I just left my Dentists office following dental extractions and drove back to Walgreens. The Pharmacy Tech smiles and he tells me "oh, we don't have your meds, maybe we'll get them on Thursday." I have now wasted my time and gas three times because either the staff just openly lies or are unable to know what medications they do or do not have. This is not the first time they've told me my meds will be ready and then don't have them. Get it together!! I do not recommend this location. read more
