They claimed they only learned about it that day, with no prior warning whatsoever. This left me without critical daily medications, forcing me to scramble for a new pharmacy and have my doctor resend everything during the hectic new year period. The total lack of advance notice, communication, or any contingency plan showed a complete disregard for patient health and caused tremendous stress and danger. While regulations are important, better preparation and care for long-time patients could have prevented this. This experience has destroyed my trust--I'll be switching permanently and suggest others relying on daily essential prescriptions seek more reliable options.

At 7:01 an employee (she) walked through parking lot to front door to raise gate and begin opening store. At or before 7:03 I walk inside as first customer with store Muzak softly playing inside while she refuses to say "good morning" or otherwise greet me. Sadly, both restrooms, by pharmacy, were labeled "Out of Order" and were locked. I put almost $100 worth of merch in my cart and proceeded to checkout. Still only customer in store and approached Cashier/cash register. Again, she refused to greet me. As I placed my items on the counter she stated "when you're ready give your phone number." She also asked whether I had coupons. I DID end up giving my telephone number to her-scary- because despite logging into cvs app to "scan" the Bar Code to scan never "came up" until I was out in parking lot (and that is a common occurrence, for me, at this chain, lately). I paid the $93+ and she refused to thank me. At least a cashier was on duty here.

When we came back at 1pm to pickup the scripts Ms H....y has turned her name tag backwards and hiding the complaint. She apologizes 1/2 assed and suggests there is noting more she can do. Umm ... yes you could, and have to wonder if you placed us in same place you would be while ill, if you would be so kind to wait almost 3 hours because Walgreens Pharmacy cannot staff effectively and you lost all concern to help.

But she was so busy with other customers that she couldn't break free. I have used the photo center quite a bit and this Walgreens is always great for picking up a last minute items, medicine, health supplements, and makeup. It's always fun to discover you have $5 off a purchase at the checkout with their rewards program. This Walgreens is the closest pharmacy to Wynmoor, a large 55 and over resident complex so the pharmacy does tend to be extra busy here. I recently had to go on a medication and Walgreens has been great about keeping in contact with me with texts which makes it a breeze to know when my medication is ready for pick up, when I need a refill, or its time to contact the doctor. On this visit I finally decided to get the shingles shot. It has been on my health check list forever and I decided to finally take care of it and some other stuff in honor of my birthday in a few days. I am trying to work on my health goals so I can see another one. I was going to make an appointment but instead stopped in on the spur of the moment and it wasn't a problem at all. Andrea who is the pharmacist and who is also an RN did the honors. She couldn't have been nicer and answered all of my questions so that I felt comfortable. If you get shingles you can have pain long after the blisters have cleared. One in three people who have had chicken pox will develop shingles. Those weren't odds I was willing to play with. I have some soreness in my arm this evening but it will be worth it. One more shot to go in 2 months!

I appreciate the savings offers I receive, such as 10%-30% off full-priced items or a specific dollar amount off my purchases. Sometimes I'm lucky to get a discount on an item I'm actually buying. At times I feel like I receive discounts too often. I'll use one or two on a purchase, then immediately get a new one, along with more via text and email. I shouldn't make a big deal out of this because they really do come in handy when needed.

Today, I did not get prescriptions as they close early on Saturdays. Whenever, I go through the drive thru it seems it always takes longer than just going inside. Many times I sit waiting for the person to wait on me. I have had them put me on hold in search for prescriptions and /or helping someone else, on the phone, or talking to another employee. I also had other customers stay on the lane for quite some time . If your dropping off that's what it means, it is not a wait for it.. go around and let the next customer be serviced. The employee sometimes is not paying attention as to who was on line first and will pick the closest lane all the time. I once saw a sign that said "do not hit the button to call them" .. strange I thought , then why is it there especially when they do not come to the window or pick up the phone to talk to you. However,there is a young man who has been working there for several months and he actually assists the customers. Maybe they got wind of the others and finally let them go. On to the store portion. CVS offers a "rewards program". Basically, you join and pay $5.00 a month this supercedes what you get monthly. You get a $10.00 credit to use monthly (so free $5); additionally, you can receive discounts off of various items. Coupons come when you print your receipt (best to do this). It's based on purchases you have made so you can receive additional discounts . Pay attention to the expiration date as it's usually only for a week or two not for the month. These discounts make many products cheaper than buying them at Walmart. There are a variety of items you can purchase . It's not just medicine and vitamins and OTC items but all products in various categories. This includes, but not limited to, H&B, household cleaners and items, office supplies, cards, wrapping paper, and gift cards, toys, F&B , flowers and plants, seasonal items , and a photo booth. You can also get a money gram and utilize the ATM inside. The Manager and Assistant manager at this location are always kind and helpful in assisting in any way you need. You can go to the self checkout or the actual register with an employee to check out. A quick store to run in and out of (unless your looking around for some more deals) and purchase your items quickly without taking a long time to get your items as it does in the larger chain stores.

The stock was depleted but I was helped by the Preston in the Fish/Meat department. Stock was replenished within 5 minutes and I was able to pick the cuts that I wanted. He even gave me a bag of ice to keep everything fresh for my travel home. 10/10 Customer Service, 10/10 deals!
