The staff greets me by name, answers all of my questions, recommends products for various elements or wounds, and the cherry on the cake is the old-fashioned diner where you can get typical diner food that is better than any diner in town. I cannot express how much I love Garden Drugs, Aneesh, Michelle and their staff. I am so glad that I found this locally owned business (I would much rather support a local business owned by my neighbors than give ANY of my business to a large corporation that does not need my business.) who treats me like a human being and where it's a pleasure to shop for my Pharmacy needs as well as a fantastic patty melt, meatloaf and country, gravy and biscuits, all under $10! This was my go-to Urgent Care but it fell apart over the past year. The worst experience I had was…read morejust now: my child accidentally dropped prescribed antibiotics and I called to see about another prescription only to be told I need to pay for a consult if I want the prescription sent to my pharmacy. When I refused to and wanted to speak to someone else the lady on the phone just laughed it off and hung up. I called back but the same person keeps answering shutting me down. A few months ago their system was down so I had to pay out of pocket and file an insurance claim because even though they had me on file they would not take the time to make the phone call to my insurance for eligibility and wait until their system was back up, they need the money up front. Sure I let that one slide but now this? Totally unreasonable place. I have to either go pay another consult and of course wait through the whole thing again or choose another place where one is treated like a patient and not a commercial transaction.

Finally, after knocking repeatedly on the glass, he comes over at 10:55 and signals he's closed. CVS closes at 11pm and this lazy guy closed it close to 15 minutes early. That's horrible, one of the guys had a sick wife he was trying to get medicine for! Another guy needed allergy medicine! The homeless guy sitting outside told us that they do this often. They let you sit at the window with cars in back of you and tell you to hold on. When I hit the call button the pharmacist gave me an attitude when I hit the call button after waiting for 15 minutes. This is just one example of this pharmacy, there have been many more situations. I will be transferring my prescriptions to a better pharmacy, one where the staff is acceptable and doesn't treat you like garbage.

This CVS is most convenient as I used to go to a salon nearby to get my nails and often would stop here each week to pick something up either for myself -- or for my nail tech before my appointments. Also in the past, we had CVS as our main pharmacy for meds on our health insurance plan. And although we got most of our meds up by our other house, we would also shop here for various products. So it's a good CVS. Fairly standard. And it used to have decent service. Now they have self-service as well as checkout registers. And my husband has their loyalty program, so we get sent various coupons periodically. And yes, although our new pharmacy has changed and my nail tech has moved locations further away, I imagine we'd stop by if we need something that our local Walgreens does not have in stock.
