    Coffee Cake Muffin
    Travis B.

Coffee Cake Muffin: I won't deny that muffins are generally delicious, but I'm not the biggest muffin connoisseur. My rationale being they tend to have nearly as many calories as cupcakes, but no frosting (I like to get the most for my caloric dollar). For example, a Nothing Bundt Cakes Snickerdoodle bundtlet has 660 calories and this muffin has between 660-740 calories (unofficial sources as nothing official from Costco). Calories aside, this was about as good as a muffin can get. The muffin top was crisp, crunchy, and packed with sugary cinnamon streusel pieces. On the inside, it was perfectly soft and moist. I loved the flavor as it was a sweet cinnamon (as opposed to spicy/burning) with hints of butter. As the name implies, it did pair fantastically with a big cup of coffee on one of my weekly cheat days. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

One of the busiest Costco s I've been too

I am a big Costco fan, and the first reason is the workers are great. It's what happens when the CEO makes less and the front line workers make what they are worth. Second, the prices are great. Third, there are more human cashiers than self check out. Third, it's a great place for lunch. There aren't many negatives, but since they concentrate on bulk deals you can't get a small portion of anything and the best deals are ephemeral. They had an amazing low price on cases of 5oz name brand cat food cans and I could only fit 5 in my Fiat 500 and even that hurt my back. But still, I wanted to get some more but they were gone within a week. The other negative is more serious, there are crowds of people shopping at any Costco and this one is busier than others. Some of those people are obnoxious. Really intolerable. What are you going to do?

    Whole lamb anyone?

We've been going to the Costco in Menominee Falls but this location is definitely superior. The wine selection is at least double what MenFalls has - I found an amazing deal on a French cremant for $10/bottle - that brand is $15/bottle at Ray's. Stock up time! I'm relatively new to the whole Costco thing but I've been very impressed with the prices on stuff we formerly would have bought at Target - paper products, cleaning supplies, OTC medicines, etc. Prices here seem to be 30-60% less depending on the item and the brand, with the best deals on the Kirkland house brand. This location seems to stock nicer things than MenFalls - there's some fine jewelry, higher end wines and of course the impressive electronics section. It's a bit farther to drive, but I can see us making the extra trip to come here. Of course like all other Costcos they sweat you HARD to upgrade your membership which I find annoying.

We entered and meandered as we always do entering a Kwik Trip. We made our rounds looking at all they had prepared. The store was clean and actively being tended to by their staff. I had my heart set on a sweet tea, but alas the tea had not been brewed with a note saying unavailable for today's date. We jokingly dramatized our grief for this occurrence and were overheard by a staff member. Enter Xavier. I quickly told him it was totally fine, and I would certainly live without it. He checked all the tanks and even agreed with me that the unsweet tea (the only full tank) was disgraceful and a sin. I carried on selecting one of their numerous other quality beverage options, and before I knew it Xavier had returned with a coupon for a free beverage. I was astounded and grateful to receive that albeit totally unnecessary. How kind was he! It was as if he took personal accountability for the mishap; what company integrity and behavior! I thought this gesture was so sweet, and while not expecting anything for such a silly little event, it's certainly a nice change of pace in our current world of customer service. Upon checkout, the cashier, Maya, handled the our transaction just as pleasant and friendly as ever. This location certainly has some of the best staff across the brand and makes us feel appreciated as customers so matter how small the purchase.

She attempted to take $1 off, I corrected her and said it was a can of Zyn for $1. She then proceed to charge me $1.29 before tax. I asked what didn't she understand about a can of Zyn for $1 and why she wouldn't scan the coupon. She insisted she couldn't scan the coupon because of some company policy. I took my coupons and left. I'd rather not deal with this woman or location at all. How this woman still has a job here is beyond me. I've been coming here for years and she has never once smiled, has never once properly greeted me or other guest and gives a stupid stare when you ask how she is doing. If you have been to this location, you know the woman.

I was there late morning, before the usual lunchtime rush, and they were clearly prepping the food and condiment bar. Thankfully there were plenty of the $1 grilled cheese sandwiches - I don't know what they do, but that white bread with the butter and 2 slices of American cheese is seriously additive and delicious. So I got 1 sandwich for myself and one to save for later.... actually I split both with my dog - she got all the unbuttered edges. Yeah yeah yeah, I know it's not "healthy" but she needed a treat for being so good in the car and that's less carbs for me (as if I was worried about carbs, hahaha). What made me sad was that they had no tomatoes :( Not even a spot for tomatoes on the condiment bar. As I said, they were still prepping and I know I could have asked someone. I just feel bad asking for something that I don't really need when the employees are already running around like crazy. Also, I had my KT app up and wanted to take advantage of some of the coupons and they did not have any of the items I was intending on purchasing/was a freebie. I asked the cashier and he said that this location did not carry those particular items. Unfortunately (more likely, fortunately), there are no KT locations near me in Shorewood so I missed out on my opportunity to try the new items. It's okay, there is always another set of coupons to look forward to! I appreciated the speedy checkout, a line formed out of nowhere and 2 more people hopped on the register to help out. The store itself is a litter larger with more grocery items, and was SUPER clean. See you next time, KT #369 ;)

Kwik Trip has a great beverage section from tons of coffee options to tons of cold drink options. I was thirsty with a dry mouth and an icy cold drink sounded good, not because all the self serve drinks are blocked off ???. I don't really understand why because I can self serve and touch everything else in the store and spread any virus but I can't make an icy cold drink. I rarely stop by for a cold icy drink so I never even thought that I would not be able to get a self serve drink today. I'm not going to rip KT and I'm just letting people know that all the self serve coffee and drInks are off limits at this point in time.

Stoneridge Mobil Mart, W240 N1485 Pewaukee Rd, Waukesha, Wisconsin…read more My daughter accidently drove away with the pump still in her car. When she realized, she called to tell them she'd bring it back same day as she was currently on her way to an appointment. Raj, continued to call saying she owed $160 for the broken pump and threatened her with calling the police. Due to the nature of his tone, she called the police herself. She was told by the officer this was not a police issue, that Raj has called before and they inform him each time this is not a police matter. The police escorted my daughter into the gas station because Raj was threatening and she did not trust the situation. The pump was returned, Raj informed her it would cost $160, she asked for the invoice that proves it was indeed broken. Raj created an invoice at that time, gave it to her and she left. He then continued to call and text her the next day threatening to take her to court for the cost. Since the "invoice" Raj gave her was self-created, I went into the store myself, spoke to Daja explaining that my daughter was willing to cover the cost of damage IF there was damage and proof of it. I left my name and number for them to follow up. The next day, my daughter contacted Raj asking for the repair invoice and received no response. Over a week later, Raj called me and told me he had the invoice, I picked it up later that day. The invoice states the owner called the repair company several days after the pump was removed by my daughter, it also states the owner "replaced it with an old one, it's not working." The question is: why is it my daughter was told and threatened to pay $160 just a few hours after she left with the pump when the owner DID NOT know it was damaged. Instead, he tried to get her to pay knowing that he was going to put an old one on instead. When I spoke with Daja, he told me I was the first person to question the $160, usually, people just give it to him. So, regardless of the actual damage, the owner is collecting money from people without proving there is damage. That makes the owner unethical and a liar. In the end, we received the repair bill, I verified it was legitimate and paid the cost of the damage as we originally said we would. I do not recommend this business if you want to support honest, nice business owners.

Here is how the interaction went with the cashier. (Older male for reference) Me: Hi, could I get change for this $20. I'm buying gas at the pump. Cashier: No, I can't do that. I don't have change for that. Me: So if I bought something you wouldn't have change for a $20? Cashier: Well, if you were paying for the gas I would. Me: I'm buying gas, but I won't be buying anything from here ever again. Cashier: Have a good day. I understand that stores have policies for changing bills if you are not making a purchase. BUT I was a paying customer, but was not treated as one since I didn't purchase anything from inside the store. The old man's tone was very rude. I'm fairly confident that he doesn't understand the concept of a paying customer nor the store's policy for changing bills. Maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand. Either way, I will not patronize this business anymore.

It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). A Long John is a yeast/raised doughnut that is typically iced and sometimes filled with custard, cream, or some other filling. The term is primarily utilized in the Midwest, Texas, and Canada. Other parts of the U.S. refer to Long Johns as Bar Doughnuts, Finger Doughnut, or Cream Stick (that one sounds kind of dirty). The variety I have from Kwik Trip had chocolate icing and a multitude of OREO chunks decorating its surface. Cookies n cream is one of my favorite dessert flavors and I was ecstatic that it even contained creme in the center. I honestly thought this was going to be a top tier doughnut but could not have been more wrong. All the bells and whistles are useless if the basics are neglected. In this case, the body of the doughnut/dough had a bland flavor and did not taste fresh (or at least poor texture). I'd consider this a one off, but the last Long John I got from Kwik Trip was also underwhelming. I'll be sticking to "Glazers" from Kwik Trip moving forward. This was just okay Doughboy_Food_Reviews
