I pick up prescriptions at Walgreens, their nationwide system makes things easy, well in theory anyway. I have been unhappy with some if not most of the Walgreens stores, but, John P. in the pharmacy at this location made me rethink my position about the company as a whole. John P. went above and beyond my expectations and well beyond everyone else that I've ever had personal dealing with at Walgreens. This single associates professionalism and caring has opened my eyes given me the strength to continue my business with this company, hopefully John P. will not be the Last Kind & Caring Associate that I run across. John helped us find where the Kentucky Walgreens location made a mistake and over charged our insurance, therefor the prescription could not be refilled, their mistake said we had already picked up a 90 day supply and not the 30 day supply we actually received. Wait, I know what your thinking... This was not a pain medication or even erectile dysfunction pills, this was Test Strips for diabetes blood sugar testing, without the test strips and knowing your blood sugar, insulin is useless and could be deadly. I hope that Walgreens knows how valuable an employee they have in John. read more

The pharmacist is literally never on duty. If you work a normal job and want to pick up your prescription after work or on the weekend, good luck you'll likely never get it because the pharmacy is always close. It will say they're open online but they aren't. read more

Rather than them helping to get meds from a location that actually has them, they will tell you to call and have it transferred even of you cant get through to the location that has the medicine. My family always makes a calendar each year with photos of the family from the prior year. The aunt that was taking care of it ordered through the Walgreens app and had mine shipped to this store. I went to pick it up yesterday and the woman at the photo counter couldn't locate the order info, so I left and sent a message to my aunt. She said she talked to someone at the store and they had located it and put it behind the front register with my name on it. I go back to the store today, and the front register has a sign that says "check out at photo" and it's the same woman as yesterday. I say it should be at the front register, she goes to look and doesn't see it. She gets the manager, or at least someone she claims is the manager (He looked like he was maybe 19 years old to me) and he doesn't even bother looking or checking anything he just says "no one called, we didn't tell anyone it was behind the register, we don't have it." I'm like "hold on let me call my aunt so she can talk to you, she has more info." While it's ringing the employees walk away. I finally get my aunt on the line and I go up to the photo counter again, the woman is very rude and is like "at this point we're refusing service. Leave the store." I'm like "can I talk to the manager again?" And she's like "he's gone, he left for the day. We're refusing service." It's been like three minutes, there's no way he's not still there. Tell my aunt I'm leaving and she says she'll follow up. She calls the store. They hang up on her. She calls the corporate hotline. They call the store. They are terrible when it comes to filling prescriptions. My prescriptions are never ready when I am told they are and when I get there I have to wait a long time. With one of my prescriptions, it was supposed to be two different things and they gave me only one saying they didn't get an order for the other one-my doctor for sure sent in both. The next day, I call and they tell me they see the other item but they're working with my insurance to get it approved. Well, they never updated me on the outcome-it's a good thing I ended up not really needing it. The last prescription that was sent there was out of stock and they told me they should have it in a few days. A few days later I call and ask about the status and they check and say it arrived that day and it will be ready for me around noon. I go in at 7:30pm and I'm told it's still out of stock. I insist I was told it was there, the pharmacist checks, and she confirms they have it but I have to wait for them to get it ready. After I pay for it, I get a text from them my prescription is ready. Needless to say, I am never using this pharmacy again. read more

I saw that this Walgreens had bad reviews but it's the closest one to my house so I had my monthly prescription sent here anyways because how bad could it be right? First of all, I setup the auto ship so I wouldn't have to go into the store at all, they couldn't figure that out. So I've had to come in each month to pick it up, should still be a simple prescription fill. Every single time I go in when it should already be ready they tell me to wait for "a couple minutes" and proceed to take minimum 30 minutes to fill it, usually incorrectly too!! Last time I went in I had to wait 30 minutes just for them to tell me that the prescription they were about to hand me was a totally different medicine in the wrong bottle. I feel like that's some sort of crime. The time before that my prescription was expired, and before that they only had half the pills needed but still charged me full price. This is the worst Walgreens I've ever been to, and will never be returning again as I have switched my prescription elsewhere. It's funny how they hold half my medication for 4 days, THE PHARMACIST ABBAS has laughed at me before and laughed at me for calling everyday, and proceed to laugh and tell me that they dont know when my medication would be back in stock. But its even funnier I called a different walgreens maybe 10 miles away and they were able to tell me my medication would arrive tomorrow and they didn't laugh at a patient without her medication. Pretty terrible Walgreens which is evident by their reviews. There is a lot wrong with this location. My biggest gripe is their photo department. I've placed orders in their website that stated they would be ready in a couple hours. The next day I get an email saying the order is cancelled. This has happened multiple times. By far, the friendliest and most helpful staff that I have come across in a loooooong time for any Walgreen's, CVS, and Rite Aid combined that I have visited since I moved to Nashville in 2008. From the pharmacy (both drop off & drive thru to fill prescriptions) to the cashier (for my Swedish Fish)... everyone was on point and super customer service related through the whole process. I went back to Walgreens after poor service from Xpress Scripts. I reaaaallly tried to like the Xpress Scripts delivery, but they made it too difficult. My eyedrops were delivered with a thawed, warm ice pack. They were sitting on a western exposure porch for hours like that. Then, my blood pressure meds were not delivered at all. When the precription ran out, there was no notice. So I switched everything to Walgreens. They have my prescriptions on auto refill. When my precriptions run out, they call my doctors office and request an updated prescription. Of course I know if I get there at certain times they will be busy and I will have to wait in line, so I try to go at times when I know they won't be full of customers. When I am traveling, I look up the nearest Walgreens, call ahead to request my refill and stop by to pick it up. I can't even think of a way to improve on that! read more

There's only one reason I won't give this place a five star. Excuse me two. Number 1) the pharmacy used to be 24/7. Not anymore. There aren't a lot of pharmacies that are open all the time like there used to be. I guess there isn't enough business to do that anymore. The store its self is open 24/7, just not the pharmacy. My second complaint comes from an asst manager that doesn't like to do her job, and seems irritable when asked to do anything. Not to mention she's not very friendly. This review is strictly for the photo center. We went to get a picture printed and the young girl said it "looked too professional" so she would not let us have it. Even though it was NOT professional, just taken by a nice camera and edited with a home editing software, she demanded that we have written consent from the professional who took the picture. We finally told her we would take our business elsewhere because the way we were treated. As we walked away she yelled "HAVE FUN". She tried to hurry away into the back but we turned around and asked her what she meant by that. She rudely resounded with "HAVE FUN GETTING IT PRINTED". They'll either mess up my insurance resulting in it not being covered (which takes quite a few phone calls on my part to fix), they'll say they need to discuss it with my doctor, despite that I've been getting the same meds for 6+ years, nothing is ever ready even close to when it's supposed to be, the prices are higher than anywhere else around here, and the line to pick up meds takes forever if they do actually get your Rx filled. They're extremely rude and customers seem to be a huge inconvenience to them. I'm now switching over to a different pharmacy because I've had enough. read more

After my experience at this location, I would never go to any Walgreens pharmacy ever again. They are slow, ignorant, and just plain dumb. They are so slow it makes you think they are retarded from being constantly doped on all the meds they have at the pharmacy. Who ever works there can't do anything without asking a pharmacist, and the two pharmacists that I've seen there are total disgrace to their profession. The only thing they work hard on is trying to appear to be busy and very important. I wasted over an hour there twice. First, to drop off my prescription, then to pick it up. And also wasting almost three days total without medication. I dropped off my prescription on Saturday, but didn't get it until Monday night. Because they would not give me my medication as prescribed. They would give me only one sixth of it and in twice lower concentration. I had to wait till Monday, when my doctor called them. And the pharmacy still wouldn't give all of what prescribed and higher concentration. Well, I made it sound kind of creepy, so fyi the medicine was for my sick pets, not for me. And at the end I only got two thirds of the amount prescribed and twice lower the concentration, which means I have to double the dose amount, which means I still only got one third of what I need. And one more thing, don't believe them if they tell you that they take goodrx coupon. Because at the end they don't, they trick you to order from them and then they refuse your coupon, claiming that it's just an estimate from goodrx and they only apply a small discount but don't give the actual promo price. The price was triple of what I expected to pay, especially for the amount of medicine that I received. In fact I only went to Walgreens because of this lower promo price. And then I had this whole situation when my doctor had to interfere, so I was eventually forced from getting it from them. There are certain things that are hard for me to take about retail shopping. One is when employee's think of their work space areas is for loud personal and rude conversations about friend or personal experiences. Walgreens to me has always been a place where the store is cool and quiet and peaceful. You go in, you get what you want, and check out. Not so at the store at 5600 Charlotte Pike in Nashville, Tn. 37209. Reuben the casher on morning shift is the loudest and unpleasant in a way that makes people feel offended, annoyed, or disgusted. Even the management seems to surrender to his antic of attention-drawing often wildly playful or funny acting or action. I don't go into Walgreens to be amused by some employee's personal and rude conversations. Also when I go in Walgreens I would like to concentrate on what I am looking for. In this store you can hear this man Reuben at the back of the store from the checkout lane. If I go back up there it is my intentions to video take this man and put in on YouTube as the rudest Walgreens employee in the country. I wish I could give this Walgreens no stars at all. A one-star review is far more than they deserve. I've been filling my prescriptions at Walgreens for over four years and never had any issues until I started going to this one. First they told me that my insurance information was incorrect, something that none of the other Walgreens that I'd used had ever mentioned, and said that I had to fix it. After I had gotten them in touch with my provider, my entire account was wiped clean. Prior to this, I had been using their website to refill and keep up with my prescriptions, but suddenly there wasn't anything there. I had to contact all of my doctors and request that they resend my prescriptions. None of these showed up on my online account and this Walgreens lost several of the new prescriptions, which meant that I had to go without a couple of my prescriptions for several days, which was absolute hell. The next few times that I went I had to bring in physical copies of my prescriptions, because they said that I wasn't in the system. Even then, they still lost one of my prescriptions and I was forced to schedule and pay for another doctor's appointment just to have this prescription rewritten. These are the most incompetent and rude people I have ever dealt with. I won't be able to obtain any of my prescription records for my 2015 taxes, in spite of having spent hundreds of dollars on them. Do yourself a favor and switch to another pharmacy. This one is a nightmare to deal with and I will never go to another Walgreens because of my experience with this one. read more
