The store is supposed to open at 7:00am. It's now 7:06. But I see people inside, moving around as if they do not see me standing here. So I call and ask what time they open because perhaps I, Google, and the hours on their door are all wrong. A lady replies to me "in like..... 5 min maybe". ARE YOU GUESSING?! Do you not see what's wrong with this picture?! Then i finally get in after 10 min or so. I am purchasing one item so I go to check out and the cashier told me "you could've just went to 7 eleven down the street". Mind you I didn't even come in angry, I wasn't going to even mention it because I'd already contacted my people in corporate so we had nothing to discuss but since she started, I answered. My reply to her was "it's the principle of the matter. People need to be accountable". She then continues to share her POV that I did not ask for and say "the store manager is the only one here because someone else didn't come in for their shift and she called me to come into work at the last minute. She can't open a store by herself" If that is the case, I would implore the company to find a new store manager then. read more

I got a vaccine injury from a flu shot at this Walgreens. I knew immediately it was done wrong/too low with how much it hurt and bruised immediately. I now need physical therapy and expensive medical tests. read more

There are always hold ups with them, the drive-through is always packed, they always keep you on hold forever when you call. I have Rx's that I called in Tues and Weds and here it is late Friday and they are still in-progress. Really frustrating when you need your meds! I've had even worse experiences with CVS, though. read more

Every time I submit a prescription refill through the app, it is delayed. I'm on hold for 20 - 30 minutes every time I call the pharmacy to try to get it sorted. In store pharmacy waits are long. Staff is pleasant enough but clearly overwhelmed. Save yourself time and go to the Sears family pharmacy down the street. read more

The pharmacy staff were all very pleasant. However my medication script was sent in the morning to them. I showed up about 410 to get my meds. They were not filled. Lady behind counter said give her 5 minutes and she will fill it. It's now 432 and I don't see that pharmacist at all and I have not received my meds. I'm seeing the other reviews and shaking my head. If I wasn't complete out of my meds I would have just left and told my doctor to send it elsewhere. read more

Pharmacy is terrible. They close for "lunch" at random times. Sometimes around 6pm - right when you might plan to pick up your prescription on your way home from work. Drive thru usually closed due to short staff (according to sign in window). Posted hours are not real. Long lines. If they don't have the medication your doctor ordered, they won't alert you. You have to wait in line and then they tell you to pound sand. Highly recommend if you like waiting in line, guessing at when a place is open, and then not getting your meds. read more

Staff came immediately to the aisle with locked products to help unlock the shelf so I could buy some pain relieving lotion earlier today. That was nice. But, then I tried to print photos at the self-serve photo station, but couldn't upload my images off a flash drive. So I went home and uploaded them through the Snapfish website on my home computer, but the photos weren't ready when I returned to this same Walgreens at the specific pick-up time. I went 45 minutes after the estimated pick-up time but then I had to wait about 30 minutes more, in the store, while the clerk printed the order ahead of mine, then my order. I was nervous enough being in a shop for too long, keeping socially distant and wearing a mask, but to have wait so long was disappointing. I think the photo machine must have bee malfunctioning or something, but the clerk didn't give me updates. Just kept saying, "wait, stand there, it's coming" but it took ages to print a fairly small order. I won't use this Walgreens for Snapfish pick-ups in the future. read more

0 stars is more accurate. The PHARMACIST failed to give me my full prescription. I had to walk back to the walgreens after making it home to get the PRIMARY medicine in my script: albuterol, for ASTHMA. She was moving so fast (as if she was on top of things but clearly missing steps) and closed the barricade behind me while I was in line, closing me in to signal to others it was closed. Her excuse was she did add it to my pick up because it wasn't covered by insurance and i'd have to pay out of pocket. I paid for the other half of my prescription before I walked back home and found half of it missing, why tf wouldn't I pay for the rest of it? It's honestly prejudiced to assume I wouldn't pay for my prescription because it was $40. Teach your pharma techs some gd social skills. They think it's an easy job, you still need to deal with people in a respectful manner. Step your hospitality up, you look foolish. This is worse than the walgreens on the west side. Walgreens is trying to get us sick!!!! Trying to get Boosted and I'm not 50 , but Im Immune compromise. Online it say to go in and get an appointment if immune compromised/underlying condition, but in the store they say they can't give it to us because they're not set up to do it. Called the 800 number and got the runaround. This is super frustrating and unprofessional as hell! They do not care about your time and will not respect you enough to communicate any delays or apologize for their inconveniences they place on the customer! Walgreens Pharmacy has the worst customer service imaginable. We switched to Sears Pharmacy, which I strongly recommend. Unfortunately, a specialist sent my Rx to Walgreens. I didn't have a Rx number because Walgreens, big surprise, didn't have the medicine in stock. I called on 6/25 and they said they expected a shipment on 7/5. I called back on 7/5 and waited for TWO HOURS to speak with a staff member. When I called, it said there were three people ahead of me. For 30 minutes, it said I was the next caller. THEN it said the pharmacy went on a 30 minute meal break. After the meal break, I should have been NEXT in line. Unfortunately, I waited another 45 MINUTES. The absolute worst. I won't go to this location. If I was bleeding and needed a band-aid, I would walk the extra few blocks to Sears. read more

Shopping can be frustrating here. For instance, as my photos show, the inventory organization is nonsensical. Why not put all lotions together, and put all sunscreens together? There are other examples, too. It is difficult to find any staff member available to help find something or answer questions. Front registers are understaffed at peak times. Parking lot maintenance is poor. New lines, please. As with all Walgreens, there is a wall of tobacco products behind the registers, next to tobacco quitting products. Mixed messages? If you really cared, how about not selling the cancer sticks at all? On the good side: The building itself is nice, it had s great location, staff seem friendly (albeit overworked), they have good hours, and the pharmacy is good (despite even those folks appearing to be constantly overworked). read more

Got my booster recently from this place, and the doctor seems to be heavily misinformed about covid. He told me not to exercise or work out because the vaccine can cause heart attacks even in healthy young people who exercise too soon! This is very much a Fox News talking point and has no scientific basis from other reputable doctors I know and have researched online. Also giving two stars for the time needed to wait for one shot. I needed to fill out forms (that I could've done online before hand) and stood in the wrong line and needed to join another queue from the way back. Do not recommend. Also get rid of those dumb smart windows where the fridges are, no one wants those. read more

The PharmD himself was great and timely but everyone working around him is CLUELESS. I was given the wrong prescription on a "Dispense as Written" script and now have to wait an additional 5 days. I scheduled a vaccine as well and no one knew what to do, it took 3 tech's to finally figure out I needed to go off to the side and fill out more paperwork... which I ALREADY FILLED OUT ONLINE! So, don't waste your time being proactive and fill out the questionnaires prior to coming in, because you'll just have to do them again on paper. & the girls who work there were whispering and laughing while someone else was trying to help them at their station... like it's funny you don't know how to do your job, right? Did not fill my prescription for Covid antiviral! My regular pharmacy was out of Paxlovid so I called this Walgreens to transfer the prescription to be filled. I was told it was no problem, gave all my contact information, name and number for my regular pharmacy, and was told it would be done. 4 hours later, no prescription, no record of my call, the person I spoke with argued with me - told me if I had called there would be a slip of paper with my information. My regular pharmacy was closing in 10 minutes so I asked if they could call and take care of it, explained the urgency that it was a Covid medication. I was told the pharmacist was on break so it would have to wait until the next day. Unacceptable for a giant pharmacy chain to drop the ball on doing their main job, to fill prescriptions!!! It was their error for not following through with contacting my pharmacy, they should have been able to call before it closed. Forcing someone with Covid to wait until the next day for medication is unacceptable when it was their mistake. Walgreens does NOT care about its customers, it is not interested in anything other than making money. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to in my life. I get calls and texts saying my meds are ready, then I come in and they are not ready. I've been without my thyroid medication. It was supposed to be ready on June 30th. Today is July 6th!! When you are on a medication you should not have to wait this long for it. Then I must have called there about 5 times. I wait on hold and they hang up on me. The people here are extremely unprofessional!! Hire people who are NOT incompetent!! They always give me wrong information!! read more

When walking in Walgreens today immediately I was surrounded by security, of course some were undercover, others associates called to the aisle to restock shelves flourishing with inventory. All the while Bonnie the front cashier associate was left alone to deal with a flood of customers. Instead of sending to my aisle the butcher, baker, and candle stick maker those resources could have helped other customers. In face one of the associates sent to my aisle to restock the already flourishing shelf, another customer followed her asking for help. Yet I can understand, they all were given the bat signal "Big Black Man in store", and while they all were circling me, the rest of the store was left unattended - no security, associates none available for customer needs - this happens - it shouldn't. Well while I was in this now long line waiting, the front desk was unattended, the resources were being compromised, to the point where customers noticed. When one of the profilers finally came to help, he had an attitude. I walked to make a complaint and the cashier, he placed my things on the floor of the store in customer paths. read more

My review is for the pharmacy at the corner of Oak Park Avenue and Madison in Oak Park, IL. The pharmacy technician told me it was too late to fill my prescription. I arrived an hour before closing. I was given the addresses of two 24-hour Walgreens pharmacies. Neither of the locations provides 24-hour pharmacy service. I was sent on a wild goose chase by an indifferent pharmacy technician. My daughter had had four wisdom teeth removed. We drove around aimlessly and had to wait until the next day to fill the prescription. Why doesn't the staff at Walgreens know where to find a 24-hour pharmacy in the area? read more

I have drug coverage through my wife's insurance. Walgreens' system says that coverage was terminated when she changed jobs 2 years ago, even though my insurance company has confirmed that it's still current. So each time I need a prescription or a vaccine, I go through this same circular discussion. I show them my proof of coverage, they look at their that computer says I'm not covered. This is the new location for Walgreens previously located at Clinton and Madison in Oak Park. This building is especially notable because this is Walgreens first store heated with geothermal energy. According to the story in the newspaper, heat exchange tubes go down 650 feet into the earth. Other store fixtures are from recycled materials. Store is also unique because of facade restoration on 2 sides. Props to Walgreens for both of these things! I have had 2 negative experiences with the same pharmacy tech with a distinctive voice and attitude. Last week she answered my call then rudely told me to wait, put me on hold for 18+ minutes before I simultaneously called on my second line and someone else answered and filled the prescription I was trying to order. This Sunday morning she called at 8:47 asking for my wife by name not identifying who was calling. When I asked who she was she angrily told me she was "Walgreens and had to call patients who are not taking thier medication" and if my wife did not pick up her medication "her prescriptions will be cancelled." First, my wife and I have selected email refill reminders not phone calls from Walgreens. Secondly, medication not picked up in a week is simply returned to the stock bottle. PRESCRIPTIONS are cancelled by a medical provider or by a refill expiration date not because you fail to pick them up by a given date. An Idle threat and and disregard of the customer is not a good plan to promote repeat business. read more

Avoid at all costs. This has to be the worst Walgreens in the country. Just picking up a scrip can take over an hour. I'm not talking about dropping a scrip off and waiting for it--I'm talking about a scrip that has already been filled. However, my latest issue is that I booked a vaccination appointment and I am still waiting 45 mins after my scheduled time. Unlike other locations, they make you wait in the scrip line to check-in for a vaccination appointment. Unfortunately, I did not have another option close by today, but I will certainly not make the same mistake again. Try the Roosevelt/Ridgeland location instead. read more

I had a bad experience with their pharmacy. I try not to go to the doctor very often and I am lucky that I rarely need medicine. The one time I do - I had to go back and forth from Walgreens three times. They tried to charge me an incredible amount for my pharmaceuticals and no one had the courtesy to tell me that my insurance company no longer worked with Walgreens. I then had to take my prescription down to CVS (when you're not feeling well the last thing you want to do is drive and run errands) who had it resolved in less than 24 hours and communicated with me the entire time. The only reason I'm giving them a second star is that the cashiers are usually friendly. It's a fairly big location. Honestly- if I don't have to I will not go here again.
